I Am Sarasota County: Matthew Bishop

Meet Matthew Bishop, an Equipment Operator III for Sarasota County Government. His team maintains 2,800 acres of grass and landscaping in more than 300 medians along county roadways. They work together to create clean, well-kept spaces that enhance the quality of life for everyone.
- Maintains county right-of-way areas by mowing, planting and trimming plants and trees.
- Performs small-engine repairs, safety checks and routine maintenance on department equipment.
- Operates landscape equipment including commercial mowers, stick edgers, chainsaws and more.
