Triple Ultra AC10 Dakka Marauder IIC - Mechwarrior Online The Daily Dose

- Today I am playing the Marauder IIC in a community build. One of you wanted to see a triple Ultra AC10 Marauder and this is the build I came up with. The playstyle of it is very straightforward. You just lay some serious DAKKA to the enemy while shielding the incoming damage with your left side torso. To make that build work you sadly need a standard engine and will therefore run at a lower overall speed. But I think 65 kp/h is still enough for a mid-range ballistic Mech.
Remeber to shoot the 3 U-AC10 in staggered shots to avoid ghost heat. The build only has 2 additional heat sinks and constant fire will eventually bring you to the top of the heat scale.

"I'm sorry, but what the actual fuck?"
Sounds like you just had an authentic MechWarrior Online experience.
Just started watching your vids...I so miss playing mech...started a hundred years ago on online battletech on AOL...last played with Mech 4, with the IS and Clan packs, and all the cool mods from MekTek....but alas, I am stuck on a lap top now and simply don't have the equipment to play any longer, so I live vicariously through you, lol. It does bring back fantastic memories of my favorite gaming moments, though, thank you for that!!!
You missed a MAD-IIC at 14:40, so they had 5 assaults total :)
Yup. 5 Assault vs a team with 2. I could say something disparaging about PGI's programmers but I think the existence of this recording will serve well enough.
The game hardly has any players. The matchmaking algorithm has to make do with what it has, unless you want to go back to 30 minute wait times.
Group queue also takes group sizes into account, not just tonnage. So that's why you sometimes you see very heavy teams in there because one team consists of two man teams.
Only solo queue matches assault-per-assault. The only tonnage constraint on group queue is the tonnage limit in each individual lobby, after that it just pieces together teams without regard to weight class.
Ah, that is good to know. I missed that info. Thanks!
10.000 subs absolutely deserved. Hope the party will come soon ! Circa 600 to go !
holy crap that second game.. wow thats the battles legends are told about ^^
That last game was intense I love it when games go that way
Yes! Last Urbie standing! Better that than a stomp.
I think the way group queue works is the more people in your drop party the less tonnage per person you get, So with your group of 8 I think you 460 tons total(57.5 tons per player), and if you pair with a group of 4 they get 280 tons(70 tons per player), so your total company is 740 tons(61.333 tons per player), however the other team could be made of a bunch of pairs that can take 100 tons per player.
considering the end result, the matchmaker did a pretty good job
Group queue uses a varying scale for tonnage based on individual group size, ie a 2-man can bring 200 tons- both players can drop 100-ton assaults; whereas a 6-man has 360 tons available, or 60 tons per player. (mwomercs.com/news/2017/01/1692-group-queue-tonnage-changes)
This means it is possible (though anecdotally rare in my experience) to launch, for example, 2 6-mans with everyone running small heavies (Ebon Jags, Quickdraws, Thunderbolts, etc) and large mediums (Stormcrows, Hunchback IICs, Griffons, Shadowhawks, etc), and end up against 6 2-man teams with everyone running 100-ton assaults (full Kodiaks). The difference is assumed to be the coordination in the groupings: 2 6-man teams "should" be able to coordinate better than 6 2-mans.
Dang I know what I am doing later with my MAD IIC's. This is a simple build that can really dish it out.
Also, kudos to Lily there for using an Urbanmech, and getting kills!
stealing kills is more like it
I'd like to see an updated version of this build 😁
"The playstyle of it is very straightforward. " Yeah, triple AC10s. Find the enemy, point at them and blow them apart. Repeat until none remain.
Molten, a STD? You are crazy! And i love it :) Ppl look at me wierd when i say i like my Kodi 4 with an STD too for a duall gauss on the sholder and dual ppc on the right arm
For 10,000 subscriber specials you could have a betting pool for when you would reach 10,000 damage for that day. Person who guesses the number of games/time required for 10,000 damage wins a special prize of some sort.
Chound MVP!! One damage in 2 matches... ONE
group match maker is really out of wack , while COMP level players can make do with tonnage inbalence with medium and light blitz but im seeing alot of matches like this no matter the size of the groups i end up dropping with , with one side being truely out tonned .group drop needs a ELO balancing factor this , i just love going up against COMP teams Practice with my casual streamer drops
Looks like there is one more MAD IIC that you didn't count, they had 5 assaults and you had such a close game with 2.
Heat/night vision is just fine for me.
Not as salty as you should have been to my big fat cataphract blocking you lol. Was a great game that one, the MAD IIC with the tripple UAC10's is brutally efficient. Game 2 was so intense.
Nah, you just gave me a friendly shove into the right direction. It seems that I couldn't find the frontline on my own. ;)
A friendly shove towards the death of the red team, happy to help lol.
I brawl with that, mostly succesfull. Loving it.
Gettin' pretty close to 10k... That'll be quite a milestone.
Hype hype! :D
Loving this build, bought the MAD IIC A with the Clan sale going on, what skills would you suggest? Since there weren't any skills back then it seems. (Only started playing again recently)
The Walk-n-dakka... I ran 2 UAC10 and some medium lasers.. Just walked though most assaults basically.
I use this one with 2 UAC10s and 4xERSL (for additional close-in damage and fighting off lights).
Putting in 3 UAC10s seems rather over the top to me, but you make it work...
2 uac 10. 2 large pulse 2 er mediums.
That would require to take a smaller engine, i need my speed.
No one can run faster than a large laser. Am i missing something. :p.
Drink a shot for every cicada kill in the 10k subs stream 😉
Sometimes in group queue it just goes "lol tonnage?" and drops you against companies that are 100+ tons heavier than you. It's ridiculous when it's really blatant like that.
basically a kodiak without ghost heat ^^
I love the triple Uac10 on the madiic. Just a shame that the triple uac5 looks so much more fashionable.
I run 2 UAC5/1 UAC10. No heat penalties and still room for XL engine and lasers in the arms. Only use the lasers when more than 1 cannon jams though or it runs hot.
What a game (#2)!
Group Queue Match Maker has been Broke for a while now. Rarley are the teams balanced Tonnage wise and don't get me started on tier combinations.
We have fought a match before against 7 Assault mechs vs our 2. But we had really good light pilots and coordination.
2uac10+2lpl is much more flexible :)
gg's the walking turret lives
this build op
how about a Dakka day? All dakka build drops :)
The reason you were so out tonned the last game is because of how group queue works, solo queue is for somewhat even tonnage group queue it is assumed you have more teamwork so tonnage isn't as important to mm also lower pop generally.
it might sound like a snuggles idea... but how about a deep day for the stream?
How are you firing this to avoid the heat????
I've run that build before its a ton of fun.
Group que always screws the matchmaking XD I'm surprised when one team doesn't out ton the other
einfach geiler build :-)
Huh, I see an Urbie. Someone has good taste in mechs.
And such a pretty one on top of that!
nice
How did I miss this when it came out?
I want to see the Marauder llc scorch
I am on it. Already recorded the footage. If you send me a private message you will get exclusive early access
our population is too small to impose matchmaking on group queue. the system in place which limits your total tonnage as you increase in group size is halfway decent honestly. the more coordinated you are the more under tonnage you will be in general. in principle this makes for more competitive games. i think molten metal's game here is a perfect example. his group was better coordinated but under tonned. it came down to the last mech. working as intended imo. obviously sometimes it works horribly but have to face the reality of our playerbase size. which pgi would put effort into growing our community :(
this seems to be normal on team drops. if one of the groups you pair up with are not taking advantage of their tonnage then rip
We were maxed out in our group if I remember correctly. The other dudes that we got paired with probably not.
And the larger the group, the less tonnage you get individually. A 12 man team consisting of 6 two man groups can each bring a Kodiak if they want. The matchmaker expects large groups to be more coordinated and thus require less tonnage.
Yeah you need to be aware that Match Maker does not balance mechs in group Q. It only really does that in Solo Q.
Ishla Corrin *queue
I don't think tonnage balancing is very important. I've grouped with 5 other people with all of us running mediums or lights and using wolfpack tactics we've taken down much heavier teams. It's only an issue if there is truly a gross imbalance. I once played a match where our team had 0 assaults and theirs had 7. That's a pretty insurmountable armor difference. Frankly, it looks like the matchmaker did a hell of a job with that match. The other team won by a hair.
Personal opinion, I would prefer if they balanced teams by the amount of Clan tech on each side. That seems more important than tonnage.
Yes. I don't want a shadowhawk having to compete with my stormcrow on an even footing. They shouldn't have to.
Most clan mechs are capable of having abilities equal to inner sphere counterpart s 15 tons heavier or lighter often times some of both.
I see that the match maker still sucks.
i just realized that i got unsubbed to you... lemmie fix that lol
urbies shouldnt be used in team games, what a waste of a slot that could have been a win. pugs is what urbies are for, its like a lrm atlas........pretty much worthless.
