You are with Mao? The one who killed more than 45 million good Chinese with his incredibly stupid "Great Leap Backward"?
The CCP is as stupid also today. Before XI, China was respected and honored as becoming a civilized nation.
Now the CCP has made China into an enemy of all nations on China's border and all nations with a coastline on the South China Sea.
Xi, and his CCP is the most resent disaster for China and the good Chinese people.
Do you know who the CCP are?
They are around 17 corrupt Chinese families who have power over you. They decide how much you will be paid. They decide what movies you can see. They decide how much taxes they will take from you to give to their own families.
They want you to be afraid of them so that you will continue to "hope" for a better future, while they today enjoy the profit you and your family make for them.

@Lord Word I agree, Mao made a mistake.
But the Communist system was unable to stop the mistake from continuing after it was understood to be taking food away from the good Chinese people.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Leap_Forward
"Not all deaths during the Great Leap were from starvation. Frank Dikötter estimates that at least 2.5 million people were beaten or tortured to death"
The exact same thing can happen today.
What if dictator Xi made an obvious mistake? All Chinese know his decision will cause many untold numbers of good Chinese to be lost? What can be done about it?
      NOTHING.
Trump only has limited power as President. For example, the US President cannot declare war. Only the US Congress can do that. There are many other limits the US President has.
The Communist system is a failed system that continues ONLY IN CHINA, and in NORTH KOREA.
Now the world see's CHINA only as a very large NORTH KOREA.
      There is no difference:
      1. If you do something the government does not like, you will be "disappeared".
      2. There is no law. The government does what it want to you, and you can do nothing legally to stop it.
      3. You are seen by the government as only a source of labor. The value you create from your job is taken unfairly by the government.
Think about it. In the entire world, only NORTH KOREA and CHINA have this type of government.

Mr Wang failed to mention that some of the most prominent US families got rich by smuggling opium to China, eg. Roosevelt and Forbes. The accumulation of wealth from the opium trade enabled the industrialization and social overhead capital in 19th century America. Much of the development of Yale, Columbia and Princeton Universities also came from opium money. This is a darker episode of US history that few people know today.

By the way, Mr Kishore mentioned that US was generous in contributing money to establish the Qin Hua University. This statement was not quite right. The fact of the matter is that the money did not come from the US but was being channeled from the over-paid compensation from the payout to compensate for the killings of Christian missionaries by the Boxer Rebellion which was supported by the Qin Government and was crushed down by the Western allies whose missionaries were killed. The over-payment was found out by Chinese overseas students who were studying at that time in the US and they petitioned the US Government to have the money returned to the impoverish China. The then US president Teddy Roosevelt who rightly decided to pump the excess money to establish the Qin Hua University instead of returning it to the corrupt Qin Government.

China ahead all countries in internet. Talk about Space Explore. Now day many news talk about China sending so many rocket into space recently especially this year and No others countries send so many rocket recently. I not said China space explore very successful but China build it own Space Station and Us share with others countries. Talk about infrastructure, recently China do a lot Mega Projects not only in China, over many others countries especially third countries that's western media never ever reports not just Belt Road. Talk about military upgrade recently China increase many Navy ship and counting, stealth fighter, jet fighter, missile and etc. That's why Us dear not attack China. I not said China 100% win if Us win Us also lost terrible as well and very hard too recover. Talk about Digital Currency, China are the first introduced paper money and now China take the first lead into Digital Currency. Now many countries and western countries also consider DC and so third countries already start.
Now China battling chips and let see how China can succeed or not?

When the Manchus rule China after the fall of Ming dynasty, the Han Chinese were sidelined. The Manchus deliberately not to develop other provinces as to fear that their dynasty will be overthrown if the Hans in other provinces are prosperous. China stop to progress for almost 300 years. Thus, there were mistrust between the majority of the Hans and the ruling Manchus. China unable to resist foreign humiliation and invasion as the Manchus failed to gain the support and trust from the majority Han Chinese. If China is managed by the Han Chinese, no matter which governing system is adopted, the country will be prosperous and advanced, as the psyche of the Han Chinese is trade and harmony in relationship. The Hans dislike war, want to enjoy good life. Even the Han Chinese is strong, they dont colonize, but ask for tributes to protect those smaller nations and in return enjoying the trade business that benefit both sides.

The West could only attribute China's progress to cheap labor and stealing of technology. What they didn't realise was China was their best student. Mao admired the development and wealth he saw in US and wanted China to learn from the US. When Nixon came to visit him and proposed both countries working together, he saw the opportunity for China to learn from US. So, he opened China and the learning process began. China became the West's best student. Not only that, China knew not everything from the West was good. So, she selected what was good for her and rejected what she deemed bad. She applied what was good and reformed and slowly became what she is today... better than her teacher. China became what she is today because she is a good student, not from cheap labour or stealing technologies. Only China-haters would say such thing.

To me there are three major black marks on America's relationship with the China - the US's discrimination against Chinese immigrants, the participation of Yankee merchants in the opium trade, and arguably the US military support leant to the Eight Country Alliance in the Boxer Rebellion, although the latter case is a bit questionable, as Westerners were being threatened inside China. I'd love it if I were abroad and people were starting to threaten me and suddenly the GI's came parachuting down. In China itself, I didn't sense much hostility against me as an American, as people were just too curious,. But one thing I found disturbing was how vicious the official story was about the US. The US was the one who started the opium wars and repressed the Boxer Rebellion, not the British, for whom there was a strange respect and even affection among more educated people. One person told me that Americans after WWII were worse than the Japanese.
Let's think about this. Concentration camps, medical experiments, mass slaughter, and curfews are a pretty tall order to match for only a few thousand ground troops and military advisors. It never occurred to people that the US aided the Chinese with arms, funding, and advice during their struggle with the Japanese, that the US had to unlock the secrets of the universe and invent a totally new type of weapon to defeat them, and that plenty of Americans in the Pacific died or suffered horribly. Not only this, but American missionaries (hiss! boo!) seemed to be different from the Europeans in their more practical take on things. Whereas most Europeans wanted just to save souls, Americans went out to teach science, higene, basic economics, agriculture, pest control. These were practical things that would improve the lives of ordinary people. I strongly suspect that Mao Zedong, having dealt with American missionaries in Guanghzou, learned a lot of his public education tactics from them. While the US did not entirely deal with the KMT competently, how could they? I doubt that at that time a lot of people knew what was going on. And when the KMT fled to Taiwan under American supervision, after a few decades of military dicatorship, Chinese built something that had never existed before in their history - a democracy.
I guess the closest thing to the truth is the exact opposite of what the CCP says. America is evil, but in reality Americans made huge contributions to China's development, and when it counted China's enemies were America's as well. And all these things were being said at a time when China was opening up to the world and enriching itself. Mostly by selling things to Americans and learning from them again.
I believe China and the US are a case of opposites attracting - the extreme West and the extreme East. But our shared optimism, pragmatism, and work ethic make us natural friends. Let's not let the opinions of the corrupt, overweight, dead-eyed chainsmokers who run the country convince us otherwise.

As such, a period of love hate between the 3-CCP, the Khumingtang & US of which US sided till Nixon changed side in 1976. US knew all along Taiwan is too small a nation to produce “A-Z” goods for the huge US consumer markets however not on the semiconductor side of which TSMC of Taiwan has an edge. Thus-wise US has to decide-on one hand recognizing there’s only one China & on the other keeping Taiwan under its armpit when the need arises such as this present moment.
