My wife and I have been following you both and watching you're vlogging and learning of you're stories and i have to say that you are both very inspirational and it's nice to see Nicollete getting around that's always a positive thing and Brian if you were my son I would want to tell you just how proud I am in you for the young man that you turned out to be.
So, in one video you take me back to where my mom grew up on the shore, and in this video you're in my life-long stomping ground. I wasn't expecting this, and I'm glad you enjoyed DC. Brian, our work locations sort of overlapped, just not at the same time.
Thanks to you two for bringin us around in DC It is also good to see that Nicholette is doing a little better I 💘💘💘💘 guys in everthing what you two doing Have FUN and be SAFE
Hey, just want to say I apologize if I came across a certain way. I absolutely love this channel and your journey. I get inspired by nichollete her drive, and sense of calm as I'm dealing w mental health. So thank you guys. U never know who or how you can touch someone's spirit ❤
I am an ambulatory wheelchair user, and a new wheelchair user. Since starting with it, my quality of life has improved dramatically. I really appreciate how normal your channel makes me feel! Kudos to both of you for touching lives so significantly! Bless you both.
I’m an old polio survivor. My wife inherited a coordination problem that gradually deteriorated over forty years. At first I was the gimpier of the two of us. Then i ended up as my wife’s full time caregiver. I liked that job because I loved her. Our 2 bedroom condo apartment became our world. Then last year it all changed. Starting when my thigh suddenly broke without warning, I would end up hospitalized with medical issues for four months - and worse, was separated from my wife for six months. Because she was mostly bedridden, she needed respite care. We kept in contact with FaceTime and phone calls. I was discharged - but warned I was too weak to care for her. She asked me when she could come home every day that we talked. Panic attacks overtook her several times and she ended up hospitalized. Then her seizure medicine stopped working. Right after one, she obviously wanted to talk to me but was incoherent. That went away, but then her iPad and phone weren’t being charged reliably and it became harder and harder to talk to her. The doctor increased a calming medication. She got fewer but more severe panic attacks. The hospital discharged her to a nursing home, where she would stay for two months. Her iPad and phone disappeared! We finally reunited hugging, kissing and tickling like teenagers. She looked happy again and I felt very positive that she would soon be home. Two days later, the nursing home called to say that she was having another seizure, would be coded and sent to a hospital. About twenty minutes later, a doctor came on the phone and told me she had just died. I was inconsolable and to this day (it happened last August) I still mourn her. We were together 46 years. I get a tear in my eye when I see young couples - especially when one is handicapped. You remind me of the way we were.
Yeah, it's the biggest issue for van lifers. We have found the solution and will make a video at some point showing how to navigate the heat successfully living in a van if you can't afford the power for an AC.
Can your ac run even if the van is off? Is there a way to keep cool with the rooftop ac or van ac without being hooked up to electric? I would love to travel but need ac for my illness. Love you guys!
Our van air conditioner only runs when the van is powered on but we don't like to idle the van much. We have a portable AC that works amazingly but only when we are plugged into shore power and we can only power the portable AC for a few hours with our current power without being plugged in. An AC is possible but you need 5-7 grand worth of lithium batteries to power it and solar on top of that. We will make a video at some point on how we successfully stay cool despite all of this!
First I think you guys are awesome. You seem like 2 down to earth people just living your best life. Is there not a way that a company that manufactures lifts would sponsor you? I watch so many UA-cam videos where people get stuff for free by being sponsored. You deserve that lift Nicolette. I really do enjoy your videos. It’s so nice to see how you both take care of each other. Safe travels. 🚐❌⭕️💜
We didn't raise quite enough for the lift so we have set aside the $3500 towards the lift and are figuring out the difference ourselves, which will take some time. We hope to get the lift in before Nicholette is finished healing her pressure wound!
That’s not an option because the last one resulted in spammers stealing our content and creating fake TikTok’s of us and messaging our followers so we will never do another fundraiser. We are overwhelmed by the support we already received and will figure out the rest ourself and do a video when we have a lift ❤️

The fireworks were stunning!
Much love for this lovely couple 🥰🙏🏼🤗
Not Wearing Lotion in the summer helps with heat too! . I don't use it unless it's a little bit at night .. sounds strange but it's true 😎
D.C. is a beautiful place to visit, the museums and parks are amazing. I hope you had a great time. Great work on the van! Love you both, god bless.❤
There’s nothing like a good breeze on a hot day!❤
Thanks for sharing your journey with us!
You two are awesome!
How fun! Thanks for sharing.
I would love to do this kind of lifestyle but I doubt I could cope with the lack of ac in the summer. I hate hot weather.

What’s the latest on getting a lift put in?
We didn't raise quite enough for the lift so we have set aside the $3500 towards the lift and are figuring out the difference ourselves, which will take some time. We hope to get the lift in before Nicholette is finished healing her pressure wound!
