So true! So many van lifers only want to talk about themselves, "look at me!" 😴. Christian, with your vids I feel I really get a sense of what Van life is like....not just the daily life, but the sense of awe at the places you visit. Your photos and vids...beyond compare to anyone else! I'll keep watching as long as you keep doing it.

I grew up in the mountains but ended up living in flat old Florida working a lot of stressful hours for a big company. When I miss my mountains and need to decompress I watch one of Christian's videos and get 15 minutes of total Zen. Her cinematography is better than most feature movies. I feel totally transported to wherever she is recording. And her music choices are spot on. Keep up the amazing work. It's truly one of the best 1% of all things on the internet.

I agree, the pine trees in fog is like a feature movie (twilight comes to mind). Might be a new career path in the future. Perfect to have a van on location too, getting away for alone time, or nature shots. Thank you Christian! ❤️from a fan in Sweden, soon on my way to Italy in my mobile home.

When I watch your videos I am reminded of the saying "The worst day fishing is better than the best day working". To paraphrase - your worst day is no doubt better than the best days of most of us "out here". Keep doing what you do as long as you want and we will be here to watch.

Your artistry allows your viewers to enjoy some beautiful moments of what some would see as a dreary uninteresting rain at the beach. The music switches your attention from the gloomy rain, to a scene that has great content, and provides peacefulness.
Another example of your storytelling, that mesmerizes your viewers!

@@ChristianSchaffer I have a shower. The showe rhead has a button you push to shut the water off while you soap up, then you push it to rinse off. It doesn't really get the van all steamy. You'd need a giant water tank to take a shower that actually steam things up.

I’m sorry but it’s a little unfair how much talent you have. One person alone shouldn’t have all the great instincts it takes to capture dreary weather and make people envy you for being out there to enjoy it. I hate rain, but watching you go through so much to create such captivating content makes me appreciate it. It’s too bad the weather and conditions hampered your attempts to get a great shot of the eclipse, but can I just say the clip you showed of last year’s eclipse was just mind numbingly perfect.
Don’t get me wrong I think music plays a role too, but how you manage to take advantage of angles and imperfections to set up a shot and create a mood is just mind blowing. When I first clicked on your videos years ago, it was a thumbnail of the view from the back of your van. How much do you wanna bet that you’re pretty much a pioneer for vanlifers today who saw that same video and thought “now that’s how you should live - out in the open and on your own timeline”. Bet no one expected to come across a UA-camr who shares her skills and talent with a camera. I’ve lost track of how many screenshots I take per video to use as my laptop iPad and phone backgrounds. You really can’t find a bad angle huh? Please don’t hesitate in putting content out there- any short video of a brief footage or montage is better than waiting weeks and months. Even if you think it doesn’t live up to your expectations, pretty sure it’s still gonna leave people in awe.
I know you probably share short clips on other platforms but I only have instagram and open the app about once or twice a year so I rely mostly on your videos for screen grabs. Being able to rotate and see all the different places you’ve been makes me feel like I’m on a constant virtual tour of the best views and places. 😊

Ha! I like how you caught yourself going into the details of Starlink, where it works, how cumbersome to set up, where the connection works best, the cost…. and then faded it out as you brought us back to what’s important, your art in the beauty around you.
Great insight on your music choices too, you work a finer degree… yeah.
Love those chocolate espresso 🫘 a delicious way to get a little wired. A nice way to endure this episode’s string of gray and honest hiccups.

Hi Christian! I've only just discovered your channel very recently and have been binge watching your videos for several days now. Your channel is really wonderful and very inspiring. Your videos are very subtle (and I mean that as a compliment). So many people in your situation take themselves very seriously and seem starved for attention. You, however are the exact opposite. Your videos are so soothing and nurturing. My wife (51) and myself (53) had traveled the country extensively before finally settling down on the East Coast. Wanderlust was a huge part of our lives for years and I don't think it ever truly leaves you. So, your channel has been a breath of fresh are. Your voice, your whole style in fact, is very comforting. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Keep doing what you're doing and we'll keep watching. :) 🙏💓

Geyser shower systems is the bomb. The camping version is what I've used for the last 3 years for myself and family when we were mostly in a tent. Now that we have a campervan, Geyser now makes a shower head adapter with the same type of sponge. Uses 1 gallon of water per 7 minute shower. Inside the van during the winter I'll use an expandable shower bowl with my old Geyser. Can boil 1 part water to 2 parts cold or hook in via 12 volt.

Dear Christian, In your last video you asked for people to give you ideas of what they want to see as you feel that your life is predictable. I can imagine that after living it so long it may feel like that to you however please allow me to assure you it does not feel like that to others ( I know it does not feel like that to me, I love my home and have lived most of my life in two places in the world and I explore and travel however not van life style just usual after work/ weekend / holidays stuff which makes even the most mundane elements of your life no matter how repetitive- charming and interesting to see, you make your coffee at different angles, in different weathers , in different places, in different clothes and it makes me feel like I am there with you in your journey, and I can smell it😊). I follow your channel for more then couple of years now and I eagerly anticipate every video you post long or short as you have rarest gift on this planet - you make heart and soul feel deep, beautiful emotions ( I know I feel these when I watch your videos and I am sure others do too). The way you show the nature, the light, the way you put images and movement together and the music you choose and the words you share are so beautiful, inspiring and enchanting and calming and profound sometimes that I am mesmerised and can watch your content over and over again and also reliving those feelings every time. It also allows me to think about my life and expand my horizons. You are not only beautiful as a human being and a woman, you also have immense depth and beauty in you which shows in the content you create. Your videos are art, and your unique way of finding the most atmospheric shots and highlighting the beauty of these with epic music and your thoughts on life in general or what you are going through makes you stand out from the sea of other creators. For me I would love for you to please continue doing what you do which is showing us the magnificence of the nature in all seasons and weathers with beautiful music and your thoughts on life as every video you post leaves me with wanting more. I would love for your videos to be longer with longer moments of just nature and music and your thoughts as its not only making me feel deep beautiful emotions but also calms my anxieties and inspires me to look at the world through the eyes which notice its beauty. I admire how you can so skilfully pick up on and beautifully film and show all the faces of nature and how it changes and how it feels with different light, different time of day or season, sometimes calm sometimes wild and powerful. What you do in the videos you post shows your immense talent for taking what you see and experience in life and making it into a beautiful, meaningful, engaging story through your hard work and dedication and determination to fight obstacles which is appreciated and for many I am sure life changing. Without sounding like I do not appreciate your hard work and heart you put into these videos , if at all possible I would love to please ask you for longer and more frequent videos of exactly what you created thus far as you are incredible in what you do and you have no competition in my eyes despite like you say many who also live that lifestyle and film it. Listen to yourself as you have a great gift which I hope you will continue sharing with us and I know I will continue to share your channel with people who come into my life as it is so inspiring and full of wisdom, artistry, depth and calm. Thank you so much for this gift.

So grateful to have my little home on wheels in such conditions where I am somewhere awesome, but warm, dry and having a cup of tea while I catch up on my reading. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Christian for putting yourself in so much more of the video than usual. I enjoyed it much more and it kept me engaged all the way to the end. You are very enjoyable to see and hear. I know it's not as natural for you to do that because you're more introverted. But it really does make a difference. We are here for you first, and second for the scenery and your beautiful camera work. You bring the scenery to life with you in it. You are pleasant to listen to and pretty to look at. Don't underestimate your appeal to your viewers.

This canvas was created for all of us. Christian has photographed many angles on it. She must stay on the canvas to give it life and reality. She is a signature. She will gain even more prosperity as she grows.
Amazing! I for one love everything she does even if mundane, a real artist and real actor.

You made my evening!!! I used to watch a multitude of van videos leading up to and during the build of my van. You were one of the select people I craved videos from. I decided to check in after months of UA-cam viewing hiatus, and your video location is where my son and I had our first van adventure together a few weeks ago!!! It was an unplanned and magical. Thanks for the inspiration. I can't be thankful enough that the experiences you and others share are now my reality.

I love rain. Even though I learned the hard way how extreme rainfall (a.k.a flooding) can totally and literally ruin ones life (at least temporary 🙃) .
Your videos are giving me a lot of joy. Thank you, Christian. I learn a lot from you. Take care!

Thanks for being real. It's not all rainbows and unicorns out on the Peninsula. The gray, rainy West End days can sure get old after a while. You made the best of it and weren't afraid to go out and get soaked. You also seem to appreciate the peace and relative solitude that happens before the sunny days of July and August. I can hardly wait to see where you head off to next.

After four months of mostly rain in Washington, I am more than ready for some warmer weather! 🤗 Something tells me I’ll be missing the moody days again before long, though. I absolutely love the solitude of those months, as you said - it lets the mind wander and dream

That video made me feel right at home since I live on the Oregon Coast (Bandon). The recent eclipse didn't change the amount of daylight by much here, and it was cloudy too. By now I am tired of the rain,
but your video showed how peaceful life can be even in the rain!

I was doing a photoshoot in the pouring rain last week. Got some amazing pics but the next day I wanted to do another shoot but my sigma 1.4 lens had fog on the inside of it. And I couldn't do the shoot. But eventually the fog cleared. I put some moisture silica packs into the camera bag and they seem to have worked for getting the moisture out of the lens.
