Cricut crafting can be pricey, so any time we can save some money is a big deal! I've recently discovered SO many wonderful things at the Dollar Tree store that we can use for creating fun and beautiful crafts and I wanted to share them with you! Here are my 30 favorite things at the Dollar Tree to personalize and upscale into quick DIY gifts or upscale looking home decor that NO one will guess came from the Dollar Tree! I call these things "blanks" because they are more or less blank and ready for you to add a little paint or vinyl to transform it into something truly amazing! I LOVE Dollar Tree. Im a beginner and I’m super excited
I used my easel chalkboard to put our wi-fi password on it so when people come over they can get it from there and we don't have to look on back of modem all the time. It is a real timesaver for sure!❤

We change ours from what is on the back. We have a separate password for guests. The easel is an excellent idea.

I don't comment often but I adore your videos!! Especially since I'm a visual learner. I can read instructions but sometimes get flustered. I used some of those Dollar Tree metal trays to make my own security and no trespassing signs for my property!! It was real easy. I just painted the trays white, stuck on my vinyl sticker and sealed it with polyacylic!
Wish I had waited to see your glitter ornament video too. I already knew how to make them but I wanted to turn them into kitties because I know a lot of cat moms! So I hand cut all the ears myself out of foam but now I have a template. 😄 Cricut is great but I think Design Space could be better.

Love this. I found the tumbler that unscrew and I used tye print then cut vinyl to design. It turned out great as a gift. Also got the dry erase board and sublimate onto it. It turned out great as well.

I am AMAZED that you present these 12 days of crafting at a busy time of year. My kids are grown but I remember being overwhelmed every December. Love these. I have the cylinder case that I added a glitter snowflake vinyl to, but the Beauty and the Beast idea sounds so fun.
Not vinyl related, but I did recently use the “canning jar” to hold homemade potpourri for a hostess gift and make the instructions tag with the draw then cut function.
So many options, right? 💗

I just used the white wipe off boards to make little RESERVED signs for our table at work...I used black HTV...They turned out fabulous!!!

Hi Jennifer, We just met today, but we're about to be close friends!! I've been a cardmaker for a long, long time, but I'm ready to branch out & make some other things! I need to make happy, upbeat things. I don't have a "modern" cricut. I have the original dinosaur cricut, where we inserted small cartridges & the cricut would print it out. They could do other things as well, but nothing like the current machines. I'm hoping "cyber Monday" will bring the prices down just a tad more into my price range. Have a great weekend!!

Mini chalkboards: A name ("Mrs./Ms. Smith") in a font that looks like chalk writing as a teacher gift. Maybe decorate around the name with some chalk-like images or even glue down a little piece of white dowel and/or wood painted like an eraser. Add an apple or a book to the base. Add a little creature "sitting" on top. Lots of ways to decorate it.

#17 the Plastic organizers! I did this last summer, I labeled then with my kids' names then filled them with snacks for my kids on the airplane. I put raisins, Ritz bitz, fishy crackers, smarties (like m&m's in Canada), gummy candies, chips, mini Oreos and mini Chips Ahoy etc. They were a hit! And so handy, cause my kids managed their own snacks.

DT has tool boxes that I put the child's name on and filled with goodies for a trip. I added things as time went by. You have such great ideas--you gave me some. Those snap boxes are great for decks of cards and the bigger ones fit decks of UNO cards.

Hi Jennifer, I just purchased a Cricut Maker and I'm so excited yet a bit scared to get started making projects. I have a large set of champagne and wine glasses that I just happened to get for free. They have a small gold rim on them. I want to utilize these and add decorative and/or personalization to them. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm ready to get started. I also just had a precious grandson born a week ago and his father is a hockey goalie so I'm excited to make him some adorable hockey related iron-ons for his little sleepers and onesies. Hi, Jennifer. I love the floral bowls at our dollar tree has 2 different sizes. I used the small ones and used 2 Styrofoam balls and cut 2 sides flat, so one of the top hat ornaments would fit on one flat side, and the other flat side I hot glued to the other Styrofoam flat sides together, and the second flat side of the second styro ball to the glass floral bowl after I glued a little Santa and decorated a little Christmas tree and the little bags of fake snow from dollar tree into the floral bowl as a snow globe Snowman. the top ball had the black & red plaid top hat with snowman's face painted with black acrylic paint, the middle styro ball had a black & red fleece fabric scarf tied around his neck and little black acrylic painted buttons, the bottom was the glass floral snow globe, heavy enough that it stayed upright, and gave it to my daughter as a Christmas gift. I love dollar tree. Such fun. I frequented my store so much, they knew me by first name basis.

Cork sheets can be used for earrings. I've used them and they work well with some vinyl adhered to the back for stability.

I have sublimate on the canvas panels. I covered and used my heat press to pressed thermal laminating pouch on the canvas panels. Then, applied the sublimation picture. It came out so nice. It is really shiny.

Those canvas covered boards are FABULOUS for HTV...I have made several holiday signs using HTV on the canvas boards...NOT the stretched canvas, but the canvas covered BOARDS...***Be sure to follow the heat settings and time for the brand of vinyl you are using*** NOT the Cricut recommended settings for canvas...I learned this the hard way...
