It would have been nice to know that dragon halberd does extra damage to dragons, Fromsoft really needs a tab that explains exactly what each item does gameplay wise.
I’ve loved (relatively lighter) halberds since discovering Lucerne in Dark Souls 1 and the Leo Ring (boosts pierce counterattacks) Like tons of weapons in that game it fell behind in the late game due to scaling with certain builds, but it remained good against drakes and dragons throughout, and tore through those bastard Man-serpents
I want to point out spinning strikes actually has way more hyper armor if you use the black knights halberd. It has the most hyper armor for halberds as far as I know. The combo is pretty deadly. Also, missed opportunity with the guardian swordspear, as they are absolute monsters when you dual wield. Fantastic video, definitely going to subscribe.
I got my Guardian's Swordspear from the guardian enemies in the Weeping Penninsula. They're on that little stretch of land in the middle of the Penninsula that you can get to after getting to the grace right before you approach Castle Morne.
At standard level 150, with 70 points of attack investment, the golden halberd is BY FAR the hardest hitting Halderd. Hit 70 str, 20 faith and you get like 885 AR, which is about 100 more then the nightrider glaive. Also, it gets a R1 to R1 true combi if you lock off and aim at about 2:30 or 3:00
Flame Art Banished Knight Halberd on a Faith build with Black Flame Tornado absolutely slaps and the running r1s are so good for catching people trying to run from you.

I've gotten the sword spear at first try in all my runs and I love it, but I hate mining a weapon on jumping into it everytime I have it but it's good to have it if needed.
