@@gregsanich5183 Do you? If you're a Christian you don't. Does it objectively lower a person's wellbeing? That's all that matters to me. For me, that which is moral is that which increases human happiness and wellbeing and that which is immoral decreases wellbeing. So if you accept how I am using the word morality, then it is objectively immoral. If you don't accept it, and morality is something else to you, then I don't care about morality and all I care about is the wellbeing of thinking beings. There are no ABSOLUTE morals but we can find objective answers once we agree on the goal and understand what morality actually is. It's not a list. It's right or wrong with respect to the goal of human flourishing and wellbeing.

Because Christian’s claim the Bible is THE WORD OF GOD, and it’s what instructs their whole life on how to live. They believe it’s DIRECT instruction from god himself and it’s a sin NOT to abide by it.
So, if you’re a Christian, and don’t believe in that, then you’re a hypocrite to your own religion and beliefs.
You have no right to tell others how to live, under your god’s rule, if you’re not even abiding, nor believing in the very book that your religion claims is holy and the only way to live your earthly life and only path to salvation for your eternal soul.
Therefore, if you’re a Christian, you have no foundation to even argue, nor presentation of evidence that there is even a god, if you’re not going to even acknowledge the very words that your faith claims to be from the creator himself.

I really appreciate how patient you can be with those who deserve your patience. I also appreciate the education I am getting from watching you. You seem to have a wonderful "No Nonsense" approach to these conversations and I find it very refreshing. I have noticed that when a christian is trying to navigate through the lesson you are giving them, it takes alot of repetition for them to see the trail of your logic. The Simple Rules:
    1) DZ's livestream, DZ's rules. You absolutely cannot come on here and dictate to DZ what the rules are.
    2) DZ will allow you to flesh out your argument as long as:
    a) You don't interrupt him
    b) If he asks you a direct question, you give him a direct answer. And DZ reserves the right to interrupt you as often as he sees fit until you give him a direct answer to his direct question.
    c) Don't do mental gymnastics and be disingenuous.

    [1:39] On Mother Teresa:
"This returns us to the medieval corruption of the church, which sold indulgences to the rich while preaching hellfire and continence to the poor. MT was not a friend of the poor. She was a friend of poverty. She said that suffering was a gift from God. She spent her life opposing the only known cure for poverty, which is the empowerment of women and the emancipation of them from a livestock version of compulsory reproduction. And she was a friend to the worst of the rich, taking misappropriated money from the atrocious Duvalier family in Haiti (whose rule she praised in return) and from Charles Keating of the Lincoln Savings and Loan. Where did that money, and all the other donations, go? The primitive hospice in Calcutta was as run down when she died as it always had been-she preferred California clinics when she got sick herself-and her order always refused to publish any audit. But we have her own claim that she opened 500 convents in more than a hundred countries, all bearing the name of her own order. Excuse me, but this is modesty and humility?"
    Christopher Hitchens, SLATE

Even without leading it on, chatgpt will freely admit that Jesus made a distinction between the oral law and written law. It is a point that it will almost always bring up when asking about The Talmud. It will give you a breakdown of what it is, and then tell you how it relates to Christianity, with that section explaining the distinction. If a chat ai that is literally known to show preference to the religious side of the argument can acknowledge this, it’s kind of crazy that the second debater couldn’t. Especially when you read the verses to him and he claimed it was an argument from silence, literally the opposite of what you did.

However, what guys like this can't interpret away is the fact that it was interpreted as condoning and regulating slavery for about 3200 years, and then suddenly, right about the time of the industrial revolution (go figure,) it started being an issue. Why is that?
From not even 200 years ago.... _Let the gentleman go to Revelation to learn the decree of God - let him go to the Bible. . . . I said that slavery was sanctioned in the Bible, authorized, regulated, and recognized from Genesis to Revelation. . . . Slavery existed then in the earliest ages, and among the chosen people of God; and in Revelation we are told that it shall exist till the end of time shall come. You find it in the Old and New Testaments - in the prophecies, psalms, and the epistles of Paul; you find it recognized - sanctioned everywhere._ Jefferson Davis US Senate
