That's one thing I HATED about Drake's Fortune, how quickly Sully's death was "forgotten" by Drake. There wasn't even a scene where he showed some remorse or sympathy afterwards. I know it was the first game and all, but that would have been a great opportunity to show some of their past together to add some impact to his "death".
i'm sure they probably haven't considered the bond between Nate and Sully to be that deep at that point, which were established more and pretty well imo in the 3rd game.
Exactly. I played about half of the campaign and gave up during the jet ski portion. Probably some of the worst driving mechanics I've ever played. Figured I'd just watch a recap and move on to number 2 which is by far my favorite in the series.
same iv attempted to play this game from the start twice. the amount of enemies is insane. just gunna skip to uncharted 2 and hope its different @@sebastiantramontana8136
I tried to play this game for the first time and it aged like milk. Gonna watch this and try to play Uncharted 2 hopefully it aged better than the first game.
I played and completed this game a while back and am just now getting around to playing 2 and the others before the new Uncharted movie with Tom Holland comes out. This accurately covered the story and made me remember the key elements. So thank you.
When it comes to rating the Uncharted series it goes: Uncharted 1 - it's kind of meh, I mean the combat is fine and the characters are fun but overall it isn't truly special other than it was a pretty game for the time and the most recent "tomb raider" but with better characters. Uncharted 2 - Damn this is an awesome game and a must play. The story is strong and cohesive with a rather stereotypical but still very good villain. The characters are even better and more fleshed out with more refined combat, a pretty good multiplayer, fun puzzles, and truly breathtaking level design. The train mission alone is probably one of the greatest campaign missions in gaming history. Overall it feels a lot more put together, everything blends in so seamlessly and while the mystical elements of this entry may not be as good as the rest, it still can't tarnish this gem. Uncharted 3 - I sort of have mixed feelings for. In most senses, it does everything the previous game did, but better. Added some subtle changes to make combat bit better, the level design was taken all the way up to 11, with some really incredible and breathtaking areas and interactive changes, and the multiplayer remained very solid. The only thing I think this game falters in is perhaps the defining feature of the uncharted series, it's characters and stories. By this point I feel they had addressed most of their character development in the previous game and took a back seat for this game. They introduce a new companion for drake and his crew who is fun but seems more like a delivery for some quips rather than a true character, the villain is just bad, with me not feeling really any menace and their motives are pretty poorly laid out, Drake does get some extra story with some flashback missions, but as you'll find out as you play, they tend to create story arcs that end up with unresolved questions. That may be my biggest gripe with the game, there just seems to be a lot of poor narrative choices with subplots and certain characters being glossed over with little growth and conclusion. The chief example of this is one of the villains Talbot, who has all this crazy shit happen with him and they sort of build up a mystery about him and then, he dies, and that's that, no explanation for the weird things about him or anything, he just ends up as a quick time event fight. Overall the game is fun and is still recommended for any fan who wants to experience more, but the core that turned these games into a generic version of tomb raider into a sort of indiana jones adventure is sort of subpar for me, perhaps others had a better go at it than I.
+valcrum321 Also I didn't like the lack of freedom in unchrated 3.I know that these games are meant to be linear but uc3 it was too much. For example at the airplane crush and the dessert sequence you just had to go straight forward and do nthing else unlike uncharted 2 train sequence where you could decide your route around the train and had to shoot some dudes. Also in uc3 set pieces where too short.
That final boss battle in Uncharted 1 on ps3 was such a pain in the ass. I must have played it 25 times before I finally beat it on hard. Checkpoints were terrible too but overall a solid game.
+Je t'aime Lol are you a salty twelve year old by any chance. SMH. All I have seen you do is continually post negative comments on the game and insult anyone who looks forward to it. Just chill, also there is so little information Battlefield 1, why would anyone talk about it? Just shut up if you think this game is a "rental" just stop being an annoying pest, please.
Yeah. Nate isn't a 'serial murderer'. When there's an army of mercenaries after you trying to kill you, fighting back and killing them is self defence.
one thing i dont understand from this. how did Navarro and the girl get into the chopper? they were dawn when the mutants come, and next thing they were on the heli. what ???
He finds El Dorado. It turns out to be cursed El Dorado and the bad guy get dragged to the bottom of the sea after a fight. Drake, Sully, and Elena live happily ever after. And Sully finds a small boat full of treasure.
I remember beating this game and thought it was pretty good. Playing the 2 and 3 soon so I wanna recap, and I don't remember any of this but the nazi boat.
There really isn't any hype for this game. It kinda died already lol. I've seen nobody talking about it and no uncharted videos went to trending like halo 5
+Je t'aime Now I know you are an Xbox fanboy. You know what, doesn't even matter what console, but you are simply a salty fanboy. Nobody wants to hear you cry over how this game isn't good, just piss off. Ugh
+skill_challenge 420 that's who didn't even respond lol but of you have a PS3 the best game on the PS3 was not uncharted....the best PS3 exclusive was "Heavenly Sword" play that game I promise you will understand my reasoning
this is a great idea for a series before upcoming big releases. Do this for Battlefield too, although I never managed to follow the storyline in battlefield... and CoD stopped being good in MW2, so no reason to do that.
I needed this coz i can't finish the first game. I've died plenty of times because of crappy aiming and annoying A.I. I've enjoyed the second game though, one of the best I've played
Technically not Drake's ancestor... He's real name is Nathan Morgan... and changed he's name because he wanted to live free... not going to spoil more but yeah.. that's how it is...
I don’t remember the name now but it had I think the fastest fire rate of all the pistols and almost no recoil. Into it has a pretty reasonable recoil making it not as good.
This episode was so so bad ^^'' . But I'm so glad they did it anyway, when I see the sequels they did afterward. Specially the 2, golden abyss and the 4
I played the game up until the zombies came Then i gave up because that part wasn't fun at all. Everything is dark so you barely see anything and there are way too many zombies and they're also very fast
+Je t'aime Fanboy most definitely. He isn't even referencing a certain console dumbass, he is just saying that he thinks that guy is a kid for saying this looks boring, and tells him to go play cod. (Although that itself is stereotypical) No need to get salty (again)

Really we playing a game here
My same exact thoughts
i'm sure they probably haven't considered the bond between Nate and Sully to be that deep at that point, which were established more and pretty well imo in the 3rd game.
Everything about this game made me want to quit
Yeah I honestly forgot he died until he came back 🤣
Thanks for this - now I can skip the first game as I find the gameplay terrible. Let's hope it improves with no.2
Yeah me too. It's too easy to accidentally fail at parkour.
Gary McCormick yes I agree i feel like someone is always shooting me
Thought i was the only one
Exactly

Thanks for this. I couldn't continue playing this game to completion. The gunfights were too much.
This is so true happend to me as well...
same iv attempted to play this game from the start twice. the amount of enemies is insane. just gunna skip to uncharted 2 and hope its different @@sebastiantramontana8136

Yeah I’ve heard only fantastic things about 2 and now that I know what happened in 1 I can play it
I needed this..... I just started playing the second uncharted
I played and completed this game a while back and am just now getting around to playing 2 and the others before the new Uncharted movie with Tom Holland comes out. This accurately covered the story and made me remember the key elements. So thank you.
Damn I even took out my PS3 and started playing this today .

And 4 was a failure lol

Thanks for explaining the story, I haven't played the first three games
You’re missing out. Uncharted 2 is incredibly good.
@@mytchelletienne3919 yeah!
I hope there is a "Marco..." trophy in the uncharted 4 XD
YAY that was awesome!...so many memories of me playing that game!...even though it had technical issues the was still incredible!
THANK YOU! I just finished Uncharted 4 and I don't want to play Uncharted 1 and here you uploaded this.
This is my favorite series of all time, and it's so sad to see it go. Uncharted 4 will be one hell of a ride!
Reviewers are saying it is the best action video game ever made! :D
+Alex Townley are the reviewers 12 years old by any chance?
+Je t'aime Lol are you a salty twelve year old by any chance. SMH. All I have seen you do is continually post negative comments on the game and insult anyone who looks forward to it. Yay it's Jess, always glad to hear her relaxing voice
Yeah. Nate isn't a 'serial murderer'. When there's an army of mercenaries after you trying to kill you, fighting back and killing them is self defence.
And I was thinking of re-playing this before UC4 hits. Thanks +Gamespot and *Lucy*

+sissisammakko :0
Just bought uncharted 2-3 in the Netherlands but couldn't find 1 . Thanks for the summary so I can skip it with all the context for the next ones👍
one thing i dont understand from this. how did Navarro and the girl get into the chopper? they were dawn when the mutants come, and next thing they were on the heli. what ???

this series on the uncharted story is great.
i was told to just start with uncharted 2... but this looks really good.
Best treasure of the series
Actually like this idea. Thanks
I remember beating this game and thought it was pretty good. Playing the 2 and 3 soon so I wanna recap, and I don't remember any of this but the nazi boat.
Thanks Jess! I was looking for this!
This is why I love gamespot lets get the uncharted 4 hype going!!!!!!!!!!

He's a fanboy. Ignore him. His opinions are irrelevant because Sony killed his family and now he's out for vengeance.
thanks fo tellin the story
I played this a while back and thought I was the greatest game. Uncharted 2 was so good than I believe U1 was terrible.
Couldn’t finish this game it was driving me mad like stop shooting me
Wdym "stop shooting me"? Did you expect the enemies not to attack you or what?
this is a great idea for a series before upcoming big releases. Do this for Battlefield too, although I never managed to follow the storyline in battlefield... and CoD stopped being good in MW2, so no reason to do that.
Weird how this is over 12 years ago
I already know what happend but it got to my reccomend list and yeah
I needed this coz i can't finish the first game. I've died plenty of times because of crappy aiming and annoying A.I. I've enjoyed the second game though, one of the best I've played
Technically not Drake's ancestor... He's real name is Nathan Morgan... and changed he's name because he wanted to live free... not going to spoil more but yeah.. that's how it is...
Forced 30 sec ads? I thought this was Gamespot not IGN.
plz do U2, the story in that was great
Wasn't it a lighter that blocked the bullet? I could have sworn it was. Or maybe I'm thinking of Far Cry 3 when Vaas shot Jason? lol
***** I know lol video game logic though.
murdered A LOT!!!
Is that PS4 or PS3 footage?
I never did finish U3...loved the first two but 3 just felt like "same old". Guess without having a ps4 I don't need to worry about U4 :(
Great!. please do the same for the other 2 uncharted games:)
It was Sully's idea to ditch Elena, just FYI
elena could just give the camera to Nate and help herself up..just sayin'
Such a good story. Ignore the gameplay of this game and it is better imo then the U3 story . U2> UDF> U3 story wise not mp
uncharted 1 was sooo cheesy.
but U2 on the other hand... simply amazing.
Tbh I love this story, don’t see why this game is hated so much
Awesome!!!!
They must have taken heavy inspiration from Indiana Jones.
They nerfed my favorite pistol in the second game :(
Which one?
I don’t remember the name now but it had I think the fastest fire rate of all the pistols and almost no recoil.
Into it has a pretty reasonable recoil making it not as good.
....going somewhere.....
nate didnt want to ditch her it was sully who conviced nate get your facts straight
Thx, now i can skip uncharted 1 and all the freakin' zombies and play uncharted 2 :D
This is Jess from what gaming culture right?
This episode was so so bad ^^'' . But I'm so glad they did it anyway, when I see the sequels they did afterward. Specially the 2, golden abyss and the 4
Eddie Raja anyone?
Can we stop talking about this rental? Battlefield 1 was announced
U4 comes out on Tuesday. There isn't enough info to make videos on Battlefield 1
+KEEP THE CHANGE its pretty much already done though. There's not much to talk about when your game is basically only a campaign
Should have used PS4 footage, great recap though.
Yo where's golden Abyss WTF
Elaner
Gameplay wise...UC1...nope...
I love the series love it but the story is pretty much the same for each game lol
Thank god cause this game blows.
I played the game up until the zombies came
Then i gave up because that part wasn't fun at all. Everything is dark so you barely see anything and there are way too many zombies and they're also very fast
Thanks the weird creatures made the game to hard
So basically generic tomb raider bullshit, got it
Done better.
Dude... no
The Bamboozler woah guys we got a fuck other games I play cod all day guy
She's had the worst way of reading
boring
+R.I.P Michael De Santa #NeverForget I hate cod
+R.I.P Michael De Santa #NeverForget cod is a ps4 title too though?
+Je t'aime Fanboy most definitely. He isn't even referencing a certain console dumbass, he is just saying that he thinks that guy is a kid for saying this looks boring, and tells him to go play cod. (Although that itself is stereotypical) No need to get salty (again)
