Being able to look back on it now this is a pivotal moment after it all went down. Because Jim said that it didn’t escalate and that clip went out everywhere as a standout moment nobody was able to use that. I remember some of these media outlets trying to use that narrative and it wasn’t sticking. So it’s great Jim said this and helped stop the media from twisting it around on Chris, the media definitely tried that too.

It seemed to me like comedians were the most outspoken against Will. They have the most incentive to speak out on this event, so I wouldn’t heap any particular praise on Jim. All of the sudden your career puts you in danger now, you know?
Now, to be honest, I support the sentiment of Will’s actions. I respect a man who will throw hands for his family.
But more so, I’m appalled he didn’t just settle the situation with words, save his actions until after the show, or at the very least, do it in private. To a large, impressionable audience, his actions express that he condones violence, & that’s one way violent ideologies are exported.
All that to say, I’m disappointed in the man too.
