i'll settle for my poor man's caramel marble(ring of fire) for now and wait 5 years for price to drop. hopefully varigated dragon scale prices will drop by then too. 😄
I got a caramel marble and have had it for a week now and I love it sooo much!!! I got my mine on palm street. It had a new leaf coming in and it made it through the shipping and she unfurling it out now and I'm super excited to see it come out. I just got mine and I'm babying mine as well. So far I've just been letting it chill in the mix it came in.
The Pink Variegated Cuprea is still around $2K for a corm. I’ll wait a few years! I want the Hoya Madras which has come down in price significantly but is still $500-600 for a cutting (it was 2K a year ago). I’ll wait. It’s a Carnosa which grow fast so it’ll be affordable in 1 to 2 years.
She cute. She deserves to be babied❤ the new leaf and the two leaves behind it resembles a bird, when you put it at a certain angel. Nice to see you Luna😊 congratulations on your new plants baby 🍼🎉
I just started my collection literally a month ago and I am in love with this plant I have a ring of fire that I adore I'm so excited to watch this grow
Congratulations to you both. 16 yrs is a wonderful accomplishment. May our Lord bless you with many more. Hope you have a blast on your getaway next week!
Ooo you did it!! It’s so pretty 😍 Glad you had a better experience with this plant mail. But omg $20,000 for it previously, wow!! That’s just insanity! Happy Anniversary to you and your husband 🎉❤🥂
Beautiful caramel marble! In answer to your question, I grow mine in chunky aroid mix in a pretty warm humid porch room with a fan for ventilation. The leaves feel a bit thin when it needs water. It's a really easy plant for me so far!
I’m so glad you got a cute healthy plant this time!!!! It’s good to know Etsy got involved and gave you a refund. I can’t imagine paying all that money for a dead plant. 😮 Enjoy your weekend!
Happy Anniversary, Melissa! So happy this was good plant mail unboxing. That caramel marble is beautiful! I also tend to shy away from purchasing from the west coast simply because it takes so long but the plants are so tempting sometimes 😅
What a beautiful plant! I'm so glad you were able to get the one you wanted! I also want an alocasia cuprea pink variegated toooo! I've only been able to find the TC for them but I'm hesitant to spend that much on a plant where I'm unsure of the variegation...but it's definitely the plant that I can't stop thinking about either hahaha. and congrats on the anniversary! How amazing and beautiful!! I love your kitties! thank you for always sharing them with us!
Thank you so much!! Right, they’re so dreamy! 😍 one day! lol. I haven’t even found any tc available but definitely risky to not know for sure what you’ll get with the variegation.
The TC variegated bambino’s I bought reverted. I’ve noticed a lot of reversion on variegated TC Alocasia. It’s sad when you spend that kind of money on a plant to see it revert 😢
I order from Florida a lot and I live in Oregon except during the winter. I got one that was frozen and limp. It got stuck inside transport hub when there was a storm in the middle of the country. But I got a replacement plant.
Happy Anniversary to you and your husband! Congratulations 🎉🥰 I'm sorry you had to deal with the frustrating plant seller. Looks like the new one is much happier and healthier ☺️🌿💛
🥂🎉Cheers to happy plant mail. So glad the bad seller experience is behind you. Also, happy anniversery ❤. Newish to your channel and binged watch almost all of your videos. Love your content so much. I appreciate you.
I definitely do want to get one, but I’m in Australia and it’s still like above $1000 so I’ll wait 😅😂. She is stunning ❤ The gloriosum is the one I struggle with 😅
I got a Pink Princess from BJ’s for $11.99 and she is thriving due to the humidity here. I was so excited when I saw her. I immediately thought Melissa would be proud of me! 💞
Most people on Etsy. Ordered a Hoya recently. It was dry rotted. Of course rotted when trying to reroot it. And then they didn’t even send the correct plant from the pic.
I’ve dealt with a seller on Etsy just like that. I wonder if it’s the same seller. She even took it further and blasted me on instagram saying I was a horrible buyer because I opened a case with Etsy because her plants came rotten. I did end up getting my money back from Etsy. But I feel bad for anyone else who has to deal with her. Happy anniversary 🎉 I’m glad you got a new CM to appreciate.
Thank you 🙏🏼 I’m so sorry that happened to you.. I can’t believe they blasted you on insta 😔 mine was from a shop in FL 👀 she was a pain to deal with and such horrible customer service 😐
I recently ordered a Monstera Albo rooted cutting from Pretty in Green and I was upset over the packaging. It was actually the worst packaging I have ever received - literally a box with some paper stuffed in. The plant was not wrapped the chunky soil was loosely wrapped in Saran Wrap and was bone dry. All off the leaves were brown and finally dead the day after I got it. I immediately emailed them and have heard absolutely nothing back. Granted it come to Va from Ca but they should atleast respond to emails. It’s so upsetting to place trust in someone to do right only for them to let you down after you spend alot of money (a lot to me anyway)
I’m so sorry 😢 that’s definitely not okay! If the plant is packaged well it can survive in transit for a while granted the weather isn’t anything crazy. I would have been so upset. They should definitely respond to you. I’ve had emails go into my spam folder before but I’m checking all my emails multiple times a day because I don’t want to miss anything about an order. You can dispute the charge with your bank if you have to if they’re not responding 🥲
I can’t imagine paying that kind of money for a living thing that could die on me. Then what? ☠️ I wonder if anyone actually sold one for that much or if these were just attempts to sell a plant for the equivalent of a modest car or down payment on a condo? I mean no offense to anyone who’s purchased a plant in the 10’s of thousands of dollars, it’s just so beyond my plant budget it’s truly mind blowing to me. I’m glad the plant was gorgeous, and that it hopefully made up for the terrible experience with the first seller. I mean, it wasn’t thrips, but it still sucked.
Omg twin!!! I just got one on Wednesday from a local fb seller! So excited to follow along with your updates! Do you plan on putting it on a pole or just leaving it?
Happy 16th Anniversary🥂!! I love your new plant baby💚🤍. I’m sorry you had to go through all that with the one Etsy seller. I know how you feel, I recently went through the same thing, and she was irate and berated me for leaving her a 1 star rating. Then she continued to send me hateful messages! Traumatizing plant experience, indeed.
I just got my Carmel marble on a discount for under 200(I can let any one know the store if they are interested) it’s such an easy going plant, but slow growing! Definitely worth it tho I find myself just staring at her 😂
I understand why you haven't named the shop, but it would be awesome if you could warn people which shop to avoid! Because clearly they aren't shipping their plants properly and don't have good customer service at all. Would hate to have this happen to other people and have her handle it so horribly :(
I left a review so it’s there and I edited it recently to reflect that it didn’t make it and I had to open a case to get a refund. I’m not giving her shop any attention 😅 last time I named the shop with the palli some people got angry that I put her on blast 😐
Imma need to see more bubbles and planty activity. Perfect combo 🤠🥂
😁💕🥂
i'll settle for my poor man's caramel marble(ring of fire) for now and wait 5 years for price to drop. hopefully varigated dragon scale prices will drop by then too. 😄
Patience is a virtue
I have a strawberry shake and it looks just like this one except it’s a climbing rather than a central growing one! Easy easy plant!:)
Such a cute plant! Can’t wait to see it thrive in your care💚 Happy 16th anniversary to you and your hubby!💖
Thank you so much!! ☺️🥂

Nice!! Congrats on getting one!! I’m already obsessed with mine 😂🫶🏻 hoping you get lots of great growth to come in! 💕
@@plantsbymelissa Same to you.

Thank you so very much! It’s crazy to think how long it’s been. We’ve known each other for 20 years 🥰
Ooo you did it!! It’s so pretty 😍 Glad you had a better experience with this plant mail. But omg $20,000 for it previously, wow!! That’s just insanity!

As long as that plant makes you happy! My most expensive plant is my pink velvet from rpf so i understand 🥰
I’m so glad you got a cute healthy plant this time!!!! It’s good to know Etsy got involved and gave you a refund. I can’t imagine paying all that money for a dead plant. 😮 Enjoy your weekend!
Happy anniversary! Looking fwd to updates on your beautiful plant Melissa!
Thanks so much!
I do the same. I generally only order from my home state. Shipping & climate purposes.💚
omg the cat feature 🤣 loved it
That's so awesome! It's beautiful! I just got plant mail today too! I got a Alocasia Maharani and a Pothos Marble Queen. I love plant mail!
That is awesome! ☺️💕
Happy Anniversary, Melissa! So happy this was good plant mail unboxing. That caramel marble is beautiful! I also tend to shy away from purchasing from the west coast simply because it takes so long but the plants are so tempting sometimes 😅

Happy anniversary, and best of luck with your new plant.
Appreciate that!! 💕🫶🏻
Beautiful plant I think the variegation is very nice.
I haven’t even heard of the cuprea with pink variegation on it. It sounds beautiful.
I bought a fairly large Ring of Fire at lowes for 12.95$. growing in chunky aroid mix .
Nice! I have seen some pf those popping up recently!
@@plantsbymelissa I just bought an alocasoa Longlobia at Trader Joe's for 7.95$ about 14" tall with 6 leaves.

Happy Anniversary to you and your husband! Congratulations 🎉🥰 I'm sorry you had to deal with the frustrating plant seller. Looks like the new one is much happier and healthier ☺️🌿💛
Thank you so much! I can't believe it's been 16 years already lol. Super happy with this new little guy and glad I was able to get a refund 🫶
Helps protect against damage and increase the humidity.
Mine was about that size and in an aroid mix. It’s grown so much since I got it in December.
Thank you!! 🙏🏼
Wait...wait! I have to get home to watch this! 😂❤
🥂🎉Cheers to happy plant mail. So glad the bad seller experience is behind you. Also, happy anniversery ❤. Newish to your channel and binged watch almost all of your videos. Love your content so much. I appreciate you.

Have fun on your trip!
Thank you!! ☺️💕
I definitely do want to get one, but I’m in Australia and it’s still like above $1000 so I’ll wait 😅😂. She is stunning ❤
The gloriosum is the one I struggle with 😅
The plant community needs to know which Etsy seller that was. I order at least 50% of my plants from Etsy.
I've ordered many plants from that seller, Leafecho, on Etsy. I'm glad that others are as satisfied as I am. I highly recommend them.
Thank you so much! I just checkout their Esty shop, the collection is amazing. I just ordered a Bambino!
Girl I got a4in thai con. from BJs yesterday for $25! I was so excited 😆
Oh wow! Good deal! So crazy to see them that price now 🙌🏼
I got a Pink Princess from BJ’s for $11.99 and she is thriving due to the humidity here. I was so excited when I saw her. I immediately thought Melissa would be proud of me! 💞
Lucky #7 👍🏻🥰

I’ve had bad experience with The Green Escape. They even blocked me
