I started getting migraines last summer and they weren’t super bad. Maybe once a week or so. We went to the doctor and decided that it wasn’t super bad yet and didn’t want medication until it was bad. I am thirteen and had maybe had caffeine a handful of times(like sneaking a sip of my moms Dr Pepper when she wasn’t looking) my doctor said to have a little can of something with caffeine in it and that usually helped. I also would put something cold on my neck or head. Around the start of the new year it started getting a bit worse. Now I have been waking up with them every day. I am really sensitive to light and movement when I get them. I don’t know if this is related but I have stated getting motion sickness and I was usually the one who would want to go on the crazy roller coaster that goes upside down. I notice that I have kinda lost my appetite. I have gone dairy free, limiting my screen time(it is kinda hard because most of school now is on computers), gone on food trackers. I am going to see a doctor soon because it is pretty bad. Reading these comments has been really helpful and I hope I can find something that helps them.

Yes. Mine since 2019. Left side. Daith. I started getting them in 2018ish. Startleft side behind eye. Light and sound was unbearable. I got it done asap. Not even a regular headache since. On my 2 kids. Even through my 2nd pregnancy, when headaches usually come, along with a newborn. Awake at all hrs in a new lock down in 2020....not 1 headache afterwards. So good. They don't heal fast. But they're pretty protected inside. And tozo brand earbuds fit nice. That's the downside, earbuds

I got a daith and a forward helix piercing and they both helped noticeably. My migraines sadly weren't eliminated, but the severity became way less bad. I went from crying horribly for 8 hours straight per episode (and that was the second half of the full episode which was already super painful) to just moaning a bit and feeling awful but it's more bearable now.

Thanks for making this video! Super interesting and helpful. I have a friend who had migraines 5-6 days per week, and she only has them once per week after having both daiths pierced. She may still be in the healing stage, though; she only had them put in 7 months ago. I was having migraines 3-4 days per week and cut out my main contributor, added estrogen (birth control), but I still get migraines at least twice per week. I've considered doing the daith piercing for the sake of trying something, but I had no idea about the way piercings could affect the body's electric currents.

Yes its amazing how the body is so interconnected and traditional chinese medicine has been using these bioelectrical points for thousands of year successfully. See our video on birth control!

You should read the book called Heal Your Headache. It changed my life. You have to cut out dietary triggers too, the main 3 being cheese, chocolate and caffeine. I went from 27 days out of 30 with a migraine to having them much less frequently. On Monday this week I have also had both daiths pierced. I was 11 days in to another one after being free of triggers for a long time. Like you, I also stopped the contraceptive pill to help. All the best xo

So do you need to pierce both or which side is best?

My faith piercing didnt cure my migraines. My daith did however lessen how many i got. I used to have 3 to 5 migraines a week. Then once i got pierced I had 1 every 5 weeks average.

How can piercing your ears effect your tmj? I have just my lobes pierced and I have TMJ issues. I don't wear earrings much anymore but I did a lot as a kid

I have both a tragus and a daith piercing in my right ear and they did help with my migraines I average about 25 a month minimum they did help in the beginning but once they healed they didn't help any longer I still have them in but they don't seem to make any difference so I think as long as the nerve is raw you can get some relief from it because you can manipulate it but once that nerve heals you don't seem to get any relief from it but I got a pretty piercing

Have you tried wiggling the piercings regularly? I wonder if that would be enough stimulation.

I am sorry to hear that. Migraines are evil. I am on day 6 of a relentless one.

We all know we can't be cured. They say it's brings relief. But it never leaves
