Those are the kinds of locks I see everywhere in Europe. I only see the old one-sided jagged edge keys when I visit the US. And we always lock these things twice. So I'm feeling pretty safe knowing it's that hard to open for you ^^
We rarely see one sided jagged keys in Taiwan now, except for low security settings (like for lockers, key locks, etc. that is much easier to crowbar than pick). The kind of lock shown here are extremely common in Taiwan. What sucks is that locksmiths charge a lot more to duplicate these keys than normal keys. In fact I don't even think jails in Taiwan use those Folgers Adam locks they use in the states... they actually use these kind of locks in jails/detention centers here. The only jagged keys I've seen in Taiwan have at LEAST 2 sides. 4 sided keys are quite common as are round dimple keys. Not that they matter much... home invasion is extremely rare in Taiwan. Just because the side pins are inactive doesn't mean there are not variations. It's intended to introduce further uncertainty for would be thieves trying to pick them, and also to sell more of them because locksmiths will simply destroy the lock if there's a lockout.
@@kruner Is it really? I went to Barcelona and Madrid before, maybe my airbnbs were in rich neighborhoods but I didn't see them there. I'm from Vienna, I grew up in the 90s, back then these one sided jagged keys were in most places. But nowadays.... haven't seen them much, especially for house or apartment doors, they basically went extinct over a decade ago.
you pick that and gutted and excellent NARRATION in under 7MINUTES .i would neaver thought that to be possible. your the MASTER. lol.THANKS for sharing the great video. 😎😎😎😎😎
A number of residences in Japan use a similar cylinder, and they are breached because people post photos of their keys on social media. The serial numbers also directly translate to the shape and depth of the dimples on the keys, making it easy for locksmiths and thieves to make "spare keys". The other leading cause of burglaries in Japan is people forgetting to lock their doors.
@@isminivermekistemeyenmahmutwho says its a random person? Could be someone you know, someone youre related to or friends with. Can you please explain to me how the passive pins work. The understand I have of them is they are for key control but I can't figure out how they can do much without springs in the bible to push them into the shear line. Thank you for all the great videos. Jim
They will only pass the shear line if you insert the wrong key (or push them with your pick, lol) and turn, otherwise they just rest in place in core. Imagine as if they were like sidebars, once you try to turn the core they will be pressed inside. If they find a wrong key that will prevent them from setting under the shear line thus locking it. If they find the correct wholes (or in this case a completely empty space) then you will be able to continue turning the core. Hope that helps. Sorry for bad english.
It would be nice if the @LockPickingLawyer starts rating the locks on some scale on how good they are. I have the same lock at home and now I am unsure if I should change it or not, if so which one do I even choose. Thus it will be nice to have this relative compressing between all the locks you have picked. What do you think about that?
LPL didn't say it was unsafe, he was lucky with this lock and lucky means 60 seconds. The Lock has protection against simple Lockpicking through the passiv Pins. Raking or a mechanic Picklock would engage them, it got decent Drillprotection. It's a solid Lock which give a good enough Protection. What means Good enough? It's easier to attack Windows, Backdoors and the like before attacking this Lock. Why spend 2 Minutes at the Frontdoor, when you can pry the shutters of the window Open and smash the Window in? Why attack the House with the Security Cameras when the House two Doors further don't have one. Unless you have already fortified your Windows on the lower Level, a better Lock than this won't give you more Protection. Btw Looks is everything: We got some Cellar Winodws which can be seen from the Street, my Father putt 3 simple Metall Bars behind them in simple Hooks. So they can be seen from the Street and it look barred off. When we had a Thief series here from the Highway. Literally 50% of Neighbours had been robbed. The House with the simple Locks and Fake "fortified" Doors and Windows with Jalousies was left alone, even when attacking the Cellar Windows without Jalousies would have been easy. When comming back from Vacation with my Grandparents we didn't had Keys, i could enter the House within 3 Minutes.... non distructiv.
Anybody can think of reason why key hole is so big in those pin tumblers/dimple locks(well end in many others locks)? There is only needed thin piece of metal, pick size, to move pins. Making key hole tiny would make picking probably harder.
But they made an impressive looking key! Seriously, the passive pins can be quite useful in very large institutional master key systems... so maybe not too overboard.
Help I need help with a dimple lock to a safe it's a 2054F first alert safe with dimple lock I'm trying everything on this lock it's a steady one please help
It's all fun until you hear "nothing on 1 medium click on 2..." outside your window at night
Cheers from Lake Iseo (Italy) !

Why do I find these kind of videos kinda therapeutic ?
Dang. Even Dimple locks..
why do people even buy locks anymore?
Very nice picking bud! I like the way you pick the dimple locks. I'm going to have to try your method because I am pretty new to dimple locks.
you pick that and gutted and excellent NARRATION in under 7MINUTES .i would neaver thought that to be possible. your the MASTER. lol.THANKS for sharing the great video. 😎😎😎😎😎

two thefts a year?
Howcome a random person on social media can find your home address even though thieves got keyshape they also need ur address

@@R2gbs Nice explanation. But stupid lock design ))
Thats the most common frontdoor lock in europe
And we lock it twice

Picking isnt an attack thrives use others things that's makes locks secure are far more important.

I want dimple lock i want to try them they look fun. congratulation youre having all the fun
great picking, made it look easy as per usual! there are so many pins haha. did you make that curved flag pick yourself?
Thanks. Most pick sets come with curved flags
Very nice lock perfectly picked.
Thanks, though there was luck this time around!
what is the purpose of the other pins if you don't have to pick them?
You can charge more money because it looks high security
that totally through me as you let the tension of and she turned. excellent!!
Happens. Reverse picking is a good tool (when you are a schmuck like me and overset pins)!
Anybody can think of reason why key hole is so big in those pin tumblers/dimple locks(well end in many others locks)? There is only needed thin piece of metal, pick size, to move pins. Making key hole tiny would make picking probably harder.
Because keys need to survive in the real world where keys break all the time.
Great job! Excellent video.
Thanks.
Nice but would've expected more security pins though 🤔
Only so many you can put in a functional lock and it being reliable.
i do like dimple locks great picking m8👍😊😊
Thanks.
Great job picking as always brother, thanks for the review!
Wow really nice picking.
Thanks.
Nicely done.
Thanks.
Nicely done sir. Is there a particular lock that really made your day??? Thumbs up.
The lock tahat makes my day? Ingersoll 10 lever.
Wow, it's a gorgeous lock, and expensive too. I was thinking of SG MODEL 951/951C. Again, thanks for sharing your videos.
Nicely picked! It looks like they wen't overboard with key control pins. Still, a nice looking lock though.
But they made an impressive looking key! Seriously, the passive pins can be quite useful in very large institutional master key systems... so maybe not too overboard.
LockPickingLawyer but its very easy to alter a key to fit all locks, just make a few extra holes?
He said it! He said the thing!
Great picking as always sir
Thanks.
The spiral snail core requires no picking.
does electric lockpicking guns work on those locks?
the lawyer is a witch kkkk, how to do this?!!! fascinant back movement to do free the pin and opem it seem a magic
Are you from Brazil?
How would you go about picking a lock with a conventional key that also has dimples?
Help I need help with a dimple lock to a safe it's a 2054F first alert safe with dimple lock I'm trying everything on this lock it's a steady one please help

How do spools work?
We got lucky this time 😂 are you joking??
What are the passive pins for?
They do job when somebody tries to open the lock with the key from another one.
Hi, Which picks you use?
On this lock, I was using a Spooxe pick.
Почему вы никогда не показывает, как прокрутить цилиндр, он блокируется где-то?
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Can this locks picked by an epg device like the Kronos?
Nope
Mt5 +
I have at least 4 videos of picking them.
