    *The Exotac ripSPOOL is a unique piece of kit that can help you to make those necessary repairs to your gear or clothing in the field. It can be effective not only in repairs but assist in navigation, first aid, fishing, fire starting, etc. It is a compact piece that offers a lot of value for it's size and weight. I believe this is a modern take on a traditional Sami Style Sewing Kit. To get more information about or to purchase products from Exotac, please visit my Amazon Storefront or www.exotac.com.

    It's a neat concept. But for 30 bucks it seems a little steep. Especially when you look at how small the container actually is without the duct tape.

    Ive met Chris from EXOTAC on several occasions at many different gatherings. They have a great product line and I agree that their material selection and workmanship is top notch! Thanks for giving a great review. This is a pretty multi purpose piece of kit for sure!

    Speaking of splinter removal I carry a small tube of Anbesol tooth pain paste. Totally discovered this by accident one day when the splinter was way too deep. Remembered an old tube I saw in the RV I had bought used. Sure thing, deadened the hole I had dug in my finger and let me go just a bit deeper to pull it out with my tweezers. There are off brands cheaper with same amount of ingredients.

    Nice! I love Exotac too. I will say they tend to be spendy, but their gear does last forever.

    I got both this and the Nano Spark, and think both of them are really nice products. The price is a bit steep, but not more than im willing to pay for a quality product that i really like 👍

    Thanks for the quality content on this channel. All the how-to is awesome and product reviews on top notch gear like Exotac is too. I have not used the Titan lighter yet but can say I fully agree on the quality of the fire sleeve(got one in each pack) and the ripspool.

    Happy Easter Buddy.
    I think I am going to look into the Exotac gear. Myself, I am more interested in the FireSleeve but that RipSpool looks like it would be extremely useful as well. Thanks for the honest review :)

    I fish a lot and I can be confident in warning everyone not to use monofilament in your survival kits. Go in there and dig them out and replace with braided line. Every other year or so, I need to clear off my monofilament from their reels because monofilament will break down over time. It will begin to start breaking very easily. You don’t want that happening in your kit. Braid is much more durable.

    Well I already have this item after seeing Coalcracker review it but you have reminded me to check back at the Exotac site to see if they have the lighter back in stock in Blaze Orange and they do and now its on its way. Great review of the ripSpool which is an excellent product. Thank you.

    Great review. Exotac makes outstanding products. Definitely going to take a closer look at this one. Off topic, but what is the brand and model of the jacket you're wearing? It looks like a Fjallraven, but I can't tell what model.

      He has this grey camo-type jacket/shirt thing. I think he's signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement with the manufacturers because we can't get him to tell us where he got it...

    Your video needs to be corrected as the spool only has (50") 50 inches of tape which is a little over 4 feet. Thought you might want to know this.

    That fjall raven bag you have what is the name of it and where did you get it

    • @blackhatbushcraft
      @blackhatbushcraft  3 роки тому +1

      It is the model Stubben. It is still available but the pack design has been slightly modified. I ordered mine directly from Fjallraven when they were having a significant sale years ago but you may check my Amazon link or also Ebay to find the newest model. It truly is a remarkable pack for what I do. I hope this helps! Take care.
