    I absolutely love my Exotac Gear. Btw you can unscrew the Ferro Rod on that striker when it gets too warn down for use, and simply screw in a new one. That way you don't have to buy a whole new unit every time your ferro rod needs to be replaced.

    Garand Thumb, you've gotta be one of the top UA-cam channels that I always end up coming back for more tips on looking cool and how to maximum operate. No-BS opinions when it counts, relevant and informative topics, and the dry humor gets me in trouble down in the basement of Ma's every time.
    Seriously though, thanks, and keep up the good work.

    Short videos for good products are good. 15 mins would be to long for a product like this. 180 second ideas. Is someone who is great at these types of reviews. Short and sweet. Thanks for another good vid Garand Thumb.

    nice short review. it's nice to see some gear reviews that are not combat related, but more survival / outdoor related, but still with a certain use that would support military personnel in a outdoor / survival setting

  • @PaulWemyss61
    @PaulWemyss61 7 років тому +1

    I really like your videos and these short ones are helpful. You reviewed 3 products in 5 minutes and I learned everything I needed to know. Perfect! A lot, maybe most reviewers tend to ramble and try to show you every option and possibility but I don't feel that's needed. Short but sweet works. Now there are products and topics that require more and you do a good job knowing when that's needed. Keep up what you're doing. I appreciate the time it takes to do videos so Thank You!

    I like these shorter reviews but I hope that you stay honest and also clearly state all the negative aspects in a given product. That way this channel doesnt turn into another platform for free marketing for gun/tactical gear companies.

    My opinion on these mini reviews, so far, anything that gets more Garand Thumb videos in my subscriptions section is fine by me. Keep the videos coming.
    Also, the best firestarter is an old plastic dish of home-brewed napalm or gasoline and a muzzle flash from an AK, ideally a Krinkov. Because Demolition Ranch said so.

  • @delarosaau
    @delarosaau 7 років тому +1

    Good review - I especially appreciate the succinctness. Always interested in a good, small way to carry another fire starter should my other methods 1) not work or 2) get lost. Keep up the great videos!

    Great review! I'm very happy with my EXOTAC products. Used the nano striker a couple times over the past year or two, they are small enough to easily attach to a survival knife or keychain.

    Exotac is high speed... been using a nano for about 8 years and loved it.. they are hard to keep track of!! I have no idea where my nano is right now... also have a couple lifecaps which were pretty damn nice.. love Exotac gear

    One time my dad couldnt start the fire while we were camping so he used gas and made me light it. The burns really hurt be he said i should tough it out. The infection and consequent illness hurt more. But nothing hurts quite as much as the day to day neglect ive been victim of for years now. Anyways, good video!

    What about the unboxing? You know, where you spend 20 min raving about the packaging or marveling that it arrived undamaged. I hate that shit.
    Mini reviews are great. Just keep it cool. That's ultimately all that matters. 🤠

    Mini reviews aren't as great as a j-dam dropped danger/close, but more like a small anti-thot hand grenade lobbed over a wall. Still kinda' brings a smile to your face to have, and we get to see more of the sacred flannel.

Also have a Fresnel Lens to read the micro print of the info sheet of the Fire Kit ! Thank you for the video ! tjl

    I kickstarted the lighter case. And didn't even use it. Tried to use the little rubber part to go of the button and it would you like just slip off. Not the biggest deal but they advertised you could use it that way. Also kind of bulky but I understand.

    I enjoy the mini-review, although I enjoy longer firearms-related videos more.
    As for the fire starters and lighters, on a couple of occasions my hands have been too numb to operate a lighter. That is a frustrating, difficult, and dangerous situation to be in. Trying to use a ferrous striker in such conditions would also be difficult if not impossible since it is small and in two pieces. I can imagine dropping one or both pieces or being unable to use them if my hands had turned to flippers by cold.
