Which settings do you use? I've had a few international buyers cancel their orders bc the shipping cost was so high.
What if I'm just starting though? What level would I be - will I be automatically enrolled?
I don't even see that option, Shipping Preferences.

Please tell me, does it mean that if I have displayed, for example, only 10 products, but there are no sales or views yet, can I already enable the promotion option or is it better to wait until I list more products? And you also said that send 20% offers to likers throught the day, please tell me what this means, how is it done?
With promotions you dont pay unless the item sales via a promotion. So it wouldn't hurt to promote your products now. Watch the video I linked in the previous coment to see how and were to send offers.

If you live in the US and are selling eligible items then the only thing to work on is your seller level. Ship quickly, be responsive to customer's questions, describe items accurately etc. That will increase your seller lever so that you're eligible.
I LOVE your videos!!!!!! I have sooooo many saved to sit down and watch. I do have one question....there are a TON of countries! Are there any I should Exclude? Or you recommend to ship anywhere in the world?
Also, what International Shipping Services do I use? (example: USPS Priority Mail International, Worldwide Express, USPS Priority Mail International Flat Rate Medium Box, etc...) AGH i'm confused with that one. lol
I don't have any exclusions set. eBay takes care of forbidding unathorized shipments to certain countries. The only reason you'd have to exclude a country is if you had an agreement with a brand.
To ship internationally ship via your normal shipping method. You're shipping your package to eBays shipping center which is in the US (Illinois). eBay ships it to the international buyer from there and they will use their own shipping method.

Hello. By ads do you mean "promoted listings"? I do promoted listings at 5%, offer 20% coupon, have best offer enabled, and send 20% offers to likers througout the day. Can you selected the items you want to be available internally? Or do do all the listings need to be set that way?
I believe there is a way to select which items you want to be sold internationally, but I don't know how to get to that setting.

Question: I sold my first international sale yesterday. My buyer paid for priority mail. When I selected priority mail and purchased the label, it gave me customs forms and was going to ship directly to Germany. I talked with eBay and they said I should use the ground advantage option to the IL hub. What happens if my buyer gets upset it’s not coming to them priority and they paid 3x more the shipping cost for priority mail??
I am missing the whole "Shipping Service" section on my Ebay account. Is this section only visible to Ebay stores? I have an individual Ebay account. I do have a lot of international shipping options available when I am creating my shipping policies. Which international shipping services would you recommend? Thank you.
I am sorry I am not sure. I just selected the enroll button. I don't mess with any other settings. When I'm listing it doesn't give me options.
@@SandraTheMomBoss I no longer have the "enroll" button. I started reselling this past Feb and opted out of EIS. However, now I'm ready to sell internationally but I can't find anywhere to "enroll". I'm above standard status and I don't have a store. I didn't think you needed a store to qualify. Any idea what's going on and why I can't enroll?
I am in the same boat. The enroll button isn’t available or visible at the account level for me either. The only thing that I saw for international shipping is on the business policies section. I don’t have a store but have selling things on eBay. Currently above standard. Maybe personal vs business are setup differently.
Good video, I will eventually try selling on eBay. I noticed that you use a PO Box instead of your actual address on Poshmark. Do you have a video to watch about that?
I don't have a video on that. I use a PO Box for safety percautions. If I didn't have this channel I would just use my actual address on my platforms.

How do you find your rating level? Do you have to have an eBay store to ship internationally?
Top left hover over your profile picture> select account settings> then seller dashboard. There you can see you seller lever and status. I don't think you need an eBay store to use eIS.
Thanks for a nice well-explained video. I have my first international (Canada) sale and was not sure what to do. Seems like I just print out the label for Illinois and take the pacakge to the post office, and the rest ebay will handle. No more having the seller fill out the international forms at the post office. Will give it a try.

So my item shipped to Illinois costs $5.50. If someone buys my item from Iraq is it still just $5.50? Or is it the $25 that the UPS charges????
You only worry abou the cost from your location to Illinois. Ebay worries about the shipping charges from their facility to that country.
Is it the same for Canada?
I believe this is only a US thing.

I absolutely hate eBay. because I got some fishing goop from Walmart and they stopped my listing before it started and told me I would know why. I can never buy or sell for my life.
Sorry you had a bad experience. They are an honest well kept company. That's been my experience so far.
Not that helpful! US eBay sellers act like this is so great, and it is for them, but for the international buyer, this is not great! The shipping cost adds up in a big way, and browsing on eBay does not show the price of shipping before the very last page of checkout. Personally I have deleted MANY shopping cart because the expense is huge! Last was a small 2x2 inch plastic part for my sons motorcycle. Shipping said $10.9 (can’t remember, but just below $11) on the listing, cost of item $4.99, and at checkout the price of shipping changed to around $22+tax. We needed two different parts and they could not combine shipping.
You have a point. International shipping can get expensive for the buyers.

@@NORDICbyByes as someone who is a US seller and regularly gets international buyers it sad to see because I usually sell autograph items, so when someone lets say from Canada wants to buy they send an offer super low compared to what I got it for, which would be fine if eBay didn’t take a huge chunk with fees that’s but when I can I try to give good deals to international buyers
