I'm here 2023😅 made these before for years n they are a life saver. Just back again to get a refresher view as I added too many ingredients and need to slim it down. Super recipe for heavenly bars 👌
Made these today for the 1st time. OMG! They turned out perfect! I didn't have a 9" square pan, so I used my 8" instead and extended the baking time another 5 minutes. They're firm, chewy and so delicious! Great recipe!
helpfulnatural
I added chia and flax seeds and dipped in dark (70%) chocolate. Freaking phenomenal. Next time I'm going to try (warmed) coconut oil to replace the canola. Thanks Jenny, love your videos!
Hold up, I saw a negative comment regarding coconut oil. After a bit of research, I may not be using it after all.
Use olive oil and it's totally heart smart man!
I use coconut oil for this recipe. It helps the bar stay together and the bar doesn’t not crumble.
For 2-3 days you can store them in an air-tight container or I sometimes use a zip lock baggie with all the air pressed out. For longer than that I would store them in the fridge and they will keep for weeks. If they start drying out, you could also wrap them individually in plastic wrap to store. Granola bars also freeze well. Whichever way you go, try to keep them from touching if they are not wrapped in plastic. Wax paper is good for keeping them separated.
@Denise Morley I doubt she responds after 7 years
Soon as you said "Put it in the oven for..,... I happened to look at your comment where it said 2 or 3 days. 😁
2023.

She's adorable
she's a cutie
Isn't that Jenny Jones, the former talk show host? Kind of looks and sounds like her only older.
@@notmebutyou8350 yep. The one and only :)
Not Me But You 😳! That is Jenny!
LBlush exactly didn’t he see the channel name
Getting off the couch now to make these!
Update:
I made these last night, using an 8x8 pan, coconut oil and used blueberries and mini chocolate chips as my "extras." AMAZING!
I'll definitely make these again!
Next time I dehydrate strawberries I'll make strawberry and chocolate chip.
More updates please Sir.
Did you use coconut oil instead of canola oil? Same amount? How did that work?
Samir C. Cat i use a potato masher
I've made them now! I used coconut oil (72 grams which is supposed to be 1/3 american cup). It worked very well and held together brilliantly! They were just a little brittle and tended to crumble when I cut them, so I'll bake them for 25 minutes next time. They are DELICIOUS!!! Really RECOMMEND!!
@@SamirCCat at what temperature did you bake them??
Made these this morning. Wow they are do easy, quick and really tastes great. I did a couple of things different. I used raw sugar instead of brown sugar, and I used 2 tablespoons of cocoa instead of chocolate chips, and I topped the whole thing off my sprinkling a little of pink Himalayan. These things turned out awesome. Thanks Jenny!!
I subscribed when you said: you can go to the bathroom while I putting honey in a jar. It's just adorable:)
or you can just take off the lid off.... lol
I made a batch of these for my son, we eat them while out riding the horses. They transport well in plastic wrap and easy to snack on without getting out of the saddle. After eating these he wont touch the store bars anymore......Thanks!!
MrAzrancher i
I agreed. Love it. Make your own shit. And its totally great. Spending 3.00 on some bar when u can do it yourself. Hell naw lol.
Now here is an honest, intelligent comment.
Thank you!
I'm here to actually learn something!
The neggies are a bummer
Parchment paper will form to the pan if you rinse it with warn water and dry off with paper towels FYI
You are soooo luck to have such a different life. .
Love it! A lot less complicated than the many other granola recipes I've tried.
Thank you for sharing your passion for cooking/baking with us!
Well, I've got my fifth one in the oven now, seems I'm addicted to these things! I don't use the coconut (don't like it) but use flax seeds instead (2 TBS), and have replaced 2 TBS of brown sugar with maple syrup, which I put in the mix with oil and honey, and vanilla. Love these bars!!! Tasty, healthy, crunchy! Perfect snack any time of day or night! I'm glad they are so easy to make. I can only go one day without them, then I have to make a new batch! Five Stars!!!***** Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe!
This video looks like it was made in the 80s you know it legit
The video is not that old. It just looks like a regular video of a woman cooking in her kitchen. It was published in 2011, so that would probably be the year that it was made.
It looks that way when you use a shitty camera, and that's not why its legit. Its legit because old people would never lie to us and they're all good at cooking.
I think you were made in the 80s
Michelle jackson except Jenny once had a huge TV career.

tried this a zillion times ever since i saw this recipe, never failed once and very healthy delicious snack or breakfast to go ❤️
absolute favourite, I tried with dark chocolate and maple syrup also 😘
if you don’t try this “talk to the hand” and “keep chewing on particle board” 🙃
"You can always buy them at the store..... if you like chewing on cardboard." OMG I'm dying of laughter :')
Made this and it was a winner! I used quick oats instead of old fashioned oats and it still turned out great. Used toasted pecans, toasted sunflower seeds, and milk chocolate chips for my add ins. Was a little on the sweet side, so kids will love it.
Skip the brown sugar. I always do.
I'm an avid cyclist, who just ran out of energy bars. Figured that I would give these a try. We had everything I needed in the house already. Used Walnuts, pecans and almonds with raisins, besides the oatmeal, coconut, and honey. Yummy!! Both my wife and I loved them. I can see myself having one after every ride!!
I’ve been looking for a good recipe for granola bars. I love that these can be customized with favorite ingredients, but the best part for me is that it’s a recipe kids can help with. Since we’re all under self-quarantine, it’s a God-send finding activities to do with my little ones.
I hope you’ll feel inspired to come back! You are missed - and needed! 🙏🏼🌸
I love herrrr! She’s so adorbs and chill.
thank you so much for the recipe. My kids LOVE those bars. I just added pumpkin seeds instead of walnuts (because I didn't have any by this time) .
Thank you so much .You are awesome.
Jenny will always be my favorite t.v. personality, thanks for the recipe!
You can just eliminate the coconut - it will still be really good.
Love this recipe.
Thank you Jenny.
God Bless
My shock in realizing this was Jenny Jones! I loved her show in the 90's.
I don’t think half the ppl on here knows. Lol.
After all, this is the ONLY granola bar recipe I keep. I have been making with it for years. BEST of BEST!!!
As she started, I was like, why is this voice so significant of my youth? 😅🤣
Listen, y'all..... I couldn't miss her show! Ran out early from class at times to get to my dorm to see her. Glad to know she can cook, and still has her spunk. And the granola bars look possible for even me, so I'll be making these soon.
I thought this was Jenny Jones!!!
@@californiasgauld9442 it is Jenny Jones
Love all your recipes, Jenny. Thanks for sharing! 💕
Just found this great video at the end of 2017 and so great to see you even if this video is rather old. Loved your talk show. Always looking for recipes to replace unhealthy boxed items from the grocery store and this is perfect. Hint: to get parchment paper to lay flat I use a small spray bottle filled with water. Spray the pan very lightly on the bottom and the paper will lay flat and it will dry out very quickly when you put it in the oven. Also can be done for no bake recipes as well.
I love your recipe ma'am. I'm trying to start eating breakfast so this will be great. Thanks so much for the recipe
So far I made this recipe twice and instead of bars I decided to make clusters which would give me major snack yummies! It came out really really good although I added many many more things like chia seeds, flax seeds, etc. love it!!!
I like the way she explain..🤩 sweet and easy to understand.
I love her sass! Lol so warm and funny! 8 years later and still a Great recipe
Honey l am told becomes toxic i high temperature so why put honey in the oven?
I love this tutorial ................... i miss my mom! I won't talk to the hand I will listen thanks so much
I love watching your videos, Jenny, and every recipe I've tried has become a favorite! You make things so easy. It's almost as if you CARE about your followers! LOL. Your sense of humor is hysterical too! You SHINE because you're sooo real! xoxo

"You can eat these or you can chew on particle board" --- I LOVE YOU!
haha, Jenny you were so adorable when you were stuck on the honey. I loved seeing you problem solve.
Love this recipe !!! Thanks for the laughs.
Fresh, healthy granola bars are the best!
I'm trying this recipe. Looks yummy!
Loved your video so much! Gonna go make my own rn hope they come out as nice xD Greetings from Saudi Arabia xx
Fatima Duhailan Greetings :)
I swear that you can make granola bars out of almost everything. I decided to make some. I used a bunch of oatmeal, some raisin bran I had in the cabinet, natural peanut butter, some mixed healthy nuts, coconut oil, chocolate protein powder, honey, and just a bit of water to get it to the right consistency.
awesome ideas
Awesome! I was actually looking for some recipes that use Raisin Bran 😋 anyone know if there are any recipes for oatmeal cookies or muffins that also use Raisin Bran?
Rebecca Bullock did you try searching "oatmeal cookies Raisin Bran"?
The BEST recipe! Thank you so much.
Easy to follow directions. You are not kidding when you say pat that stuff down tight. Love the results! I added all kinds of dried fruit and nuts to mine.
Great recipe, I didn't use the shredded coconut and I replaced canola oil with coconut oil; these were just very yummy! Thanks for sharing Jenny, I've watched some other granola bar youtube recipes and this is definitely the most healthy and yet crunchy and delicious :)
Nisrine G. Coconut oil is very high in saturated fats...
I was thinking the same thing. Did you heat the coconut oil first so the honey would stir?
Nisrine G.
Yes, it's high in very GOOD saturated fats. Coconut oil has been so demonized..smh. @@priyasarkar8952
Thank you Jenny sharing this ! I tried your recipe , only added peanut butter instead of oil. That’s so delicious 😋
Did it hold together?
@@j.s.188If your still monitoring... honey is the glue, p butter replaces the oil and with chocolate chips and crushed pnuts... viola, crunchy reese cup flavered bars.
Jenny, yesterday was the first time I've seen one of your videos. I love your presentation & personality! These granola bars look awesome. When my husband & I are out doing errands together we like to take something we've made for a snack in case we get hungry. That keeps us from falling into the fast food rut. This would be great to include in our recipes of what we use for our busy days.
Just made these granola bars and they are great! Thanks Jenny for another great and easy recipe.

Jenny, Happy New Year! Came across you today and subscribed to your channel. Thanks for being jolly you! 😀
“Particle board” what a SAVAGE hahahaha heck ya
I absolutely love this woman’s sense of humor. Great recipes too. 👍
Just popped them in the oven! Thank you easiest recipe, can’t wait for the taste!
@Crabbyprepper - I kept mine in a plastic storage container on the counter for 3-4 days and then I wrapped each one in plastic and kept them in the fridge for two more weeks, but they should be brought to room temperature before eating, just to soften them up.
Just what I needed in covid 😄
These look so good!! Gotta try them!! Thanks for sharing!! God bless you and stay safe and healthy
I love this tutorial it's so simple and fun. Great job🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒
"You can eat these, or you can chew on particle board!" Too funny. Will try these today. Mmmm.

Hello Jenny! I wanted to thank you. I make the granola bars, and came out delicious. I can't stop eaten them. Itis the greatest! I really love them. I make them yesterday for my son and granddaughters. But I'm eaten them. Can't pass by them without taking a piece. Thank you so much! For your recipes.
Jenny, I hadn't seen you in over a decade. Still makes me laugh. Good recipe, BTW.
Jenny, can I use coconut oil instead of canola oil?
Ju Cobkit Yes.
You make it look so easy and simple to make! It is easy to make. Thank you for teaching me how to do it without a food processor.

No just found these, so good
“If you like chewing on particle board” 😂😂😂😂 so aggressive!
I love your cooking videos! Thank You for sharing!
Tried it... it turned out really well. Tasted like store bought!!! Thanks a lot for this simple recipe
"You can eat these or chew on particle board" Is that what she says?
LMBO I'm like really???!!
Well honestly she's right, all that processed stuff at the store has a bunch of weird chemicals and preservative ingredients. Throw in cheap flour, she's not far off.
she said, "OR you can buy the ones in the store if you like chewing on particle board"
Never chewed particle board
Yes, particle board is high in fiber, its a great sugar-free alternative to granola bars. You should try it
Talk to the hand ...
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I LOVE IT ... NICE VID
Your recipes look soooo scrumptious! I’ll have to try them when I have many munchers with me! I L❤️VE your sense of humor!!
From your video I make this every week. I've adapted it a bit but omg thank you what a super snack. I have shared it to many friends. It's so satisfying and gives a great boost so that you don't snack on junk. 😁🥰💖
Something about your face and voice reminds me of Cher...total compliment btw!
I'm going to use flax oil, the health benefits are wonderful
But flax causes inflammation according to a renowned doctor in my city.
Angela Siegfried Just the Opposite.
Really,@@debwell7248? Then I'll have to research it.
Angela Siegfried please research as it exactly does the opposite .. check the source if research that they are not biased
Wandering Nature you don’t want to cook flaxseed oil as it destroys all the goodness
This came out perfectly! Thank you for the recipe! :)
Love all your recipes, they taste really great. Thank You
Legit question: can you eat granola when you have braces? Or would it be alright if I grind allll the ingredients then shape them?
You are a crazy lady and I love that!!! Thank you for the great laughs!!! and the great recipes!!!
She is so funny and lovely!!! She says:"talk to the hand!"👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Jenny, My granddaughter returned from pre-school to ask if we could make granola bars from scratch. We viewed 21 videos after viewing your recipe second; I returned to your simple version because we decided with mom on three requirements for a decent g-bar which are flavor, texture, and firm but not too crispy. I purchased one ingredient the next day and came back to the video (you are funny but so natural) and made the bars. We all raised our eyebrows and said, "These are really really good!"
The next week I added a tbl. more oil and mixed the honey in well, that was important. Thank you. Today we make gummy bears.
Great granola bar recipe! Crunchy, no preservatives, and you know what is in them. I will be making my third batch soon! I use cacao nibs instead of chocolate chips for chocolate flavor without adding more sweetness. Handy grab-and-go snack when heading out the door.
"I know it takes a while, but it will come out..."
Giggity😏
Hahahaha😆😆😆
TALK TO THE HAND!! that was my favorite part. lol
Ol Scott I also loved when she said if you don't think it's important talk to the hand.
***** Yes she was joking!
from wikipedia "Talk to the hand" (or "tell it to the hand")
is an English language slang phrase associated with the 1990s. It
originated as a sarcastic way of saying one does not want to hear what the person who is speaking is saying.
😋 Can’t wait to make these! Thanks Jenny.🤗🌻🌻🌻
Looks great. Thank you so much Jenny. You are amazing.
Wow that's Jenny Jones? Lol I used to watch her talk show all the time as a kid..
+QueenWeezy™ Oh, that's who this is! I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out where I knew that face and voice from.
Can I put peanut butter in this?
Very very happy with your recipes. Thanks a lot Jenny.
My son loved them i used dried cranberries, cacao nibs, milk chocolate, unsweetened coconut flakes and cinnamon. I also cut them into bite sized pieces and put them in snack baggies.
Thanks Jenny Jones👍👍
