  • We've had our Qomotop OT 4-Person Pop-Out Tent for over a year, so I figured it was about time to do a setup and review! We received this tent as a gift (so I won't discuss the cost) and have used it consistently in a variety of weather, so we hope this review gives you a good idea about the reliability of this tent.
The Qomotop OT 4-Person Pop-Out Tent weighs about 30 lbs, so is not a tent you want to take on a hike. This tent would primarily be for a family/couple who are camping in an established campground where one wouldn't have to hike to the campsite (you'd just pull the tent out of the back of your vehicle and set it up). While it is a 4-person tent, I'd say it was more for a couple with 2 kids, otherwise it will be a little tight.
The tent has plenty of ventilation with 12 windows PLUS additional windows in the ceiling (if you're not going to use the included rainfly). There is an e-cable port near the bottom of the tent to allow for an extension cord if you're using power (generator, etc.) in the tent. The zippers have held up really well and we haven't had a leak in all the bad weather the tent has been exposed to.
The biggest pro to me for this tent is the ease of setup. Once you have the tent on the ground it is simply a matter of popping out the sides, going into the tent and popping out the ceiling (you'll see what I'm referring to in the video). After that, just add the rainfly and your stakes and you're done!

NOTE: One thing I'll add is that it seems to be difficult to find this specific tent anywhere - I've searched on amazon and other sites without success. If you're looking for a similar pop-out tent, here's one that might meet your needs: tinyurl.com/yz... (Gazelle Pop-Out Tent on REI.com - not an affiliate link, just FYI).

I have had this tent for over a year now and have yet to use it but will next month for a 4 day camping trip. It is no longer listed on Amazon and cannot find it anywhere else. I saw this video in a Bing search and I'm glad I did. Thanks for making this video it saved me some stress.

Sorry to hear it's no longer available - it's been a great tent for us!

Thanks for sharing - I've been hunting for this tent and haven't been able to find it. I may have to spring for the Gazelle, but love this one more.

Do you know if this is the same tent as the qomotop instant cabin tent 4p? Girlfriend got in for me 3 years ago and haven’t used it yet, its way to big to take on my overnights, thanks

Not sure - this one is bulky (not for hiking), but has been great for us. Wish I could help!

I can't find one either. Amazon has a Gazelle for under 300 but I have another tent of this brand and love it. Would love one of these. Where did you get yours? I don't recall you saying. Or was it Amazon?
    Really great video too

We received it as a gift from Cupcake's son, and I believe he ordered it from Amazon. It has been a great tent for us!

Maybe it will appear again. My tent comes and goes from Amazon too. Thanks for letting us know about the tent!

The only thing that makes the Gazelle a better tent in my opinion is that the floor is removable. Otherwise, this tent appears to be very comparable. Great video. Thanks!

Good point! It has held up well for us - so easy to set it up!
