When you pay for the reservation (typically 4 day limit I believe), that is essentially your permit to hike and camp while there. There aren't signs (that I remember) during the hike down to the town from the parking area, but once you reach Supai you'll go through the town and see signs directing you to the campground. You'll pass Navajo Falls and Havasu Falls on the way into the campground, then Mooney Falls is at the end of the campground and Beaver Falls is about 3 miles past that (you'll have to climb down through the rocks). We didn't go to the Confluence, but that will be about 5+ miles past Beaver Falls. Have fun!

Yes, it's a must to do your research before picking what will be your home on the road! Our Homesteader is holding up very well and we're exceedingly happy with it! Going on 35K+ miles at this point!

It would depend on the watts available - if the immersion heater was pulling 1500 watts on a 2000 watt generator and you had another appliance plugged in (and running) that pulls over 500 watts, you'd probably have an issue. Typically you're not going to use the immersion heater for extended periods, so it would probably be easier to use them at different times. We have a 4650 watt generator, so using an immersion heater, blender, tv, etc., at the same time probably won't be an issue.

We didn't do much on the hike in (day one), other than catch glimpses of the falls. Day two began with Navajo Falls, then Havasu Falls for many hours - it was hard to leave those views. In the mid afternoon we went over to Mooney Falls and enjoyed the views from above and down the rocks a little (not down to the base of the falls). Day three began with climbing down to the base of Mooney Falls and spent a little time there. From there we hiked out to Beaver Falls and spent a good part of the day there (we didn't hike out to the Confluence). We got back to Mooney Falls in the later afternoon, then made our way back up and went back to our tents (we camped near the 2nd bathroom on the trail). Day four was packing up and hiking back to Supai about 9am, then taking the helicopter out - we were worn out, but the experience was amazing!

Our bed is built in, but I'm sure you could make some modifications to keep it out of the way while transporting your bike. At least you'd have a comfortable place to sleep at the end of the day!

We drove a Toyota Tundra, so couldn't go too fast on the curves!

Our 18k btu heats up 256 square feet very well (sure it's a little colder in Sparks, NV though!)

You're right - pet hair, dust, etc., can go into the flame and cause a flare up. Have to be aware of that possibility!

If you can build your own, do it - will be much less expensive and you can build it exactly as you want.

It didn't reduce power (when the malfunction happened) - drove back without issues until I got back to the campsite.

I'm (Cornbread) about 5'10" - Cupcake's about 5'7". I have to sleep at an angle sometimes, but it's usually not an issue! Thanks for watching - we're taking a break for a bit now but have a lot planned for the near future!

If you're up north it may be a bit of an issue (using smaller tanks), but it's easier changing them out for us!

If you're traveling to New Orleans or Texas, you've probably driven over it!

Your dealer will be able to help - like i said in the video it worked for us - might not be the solution for everyone!

I believe ours is a 10 foot hose - readily available at hardware stores (Lowes) and Tractor Supply. We just have the propane and it has worked great for us!

I only have experience with the barn doors - I'm sure a ramp door might work as a deck, but I'd want to make sure the structure was sturdy enough to support the weight. I realize as I'm typing this that it is used to drive mowers, motorcycles, etc., up and into the cargo trailer, so maybe I'm completely wrong. Wouldn't be the first time!

No floor in the front area - we placed a tarp under the tent and extended it out. Helped keep debris out of the tent!

We haven't been to Estes Park, but we were close - stayed at Vedauwoo between Cheyenne and Laramie, WY, then headed down through Steamboat Springs. Definitely plan to get back out there soon!

We can't stand up in the 5x8 - in our 6x10 it's about 74" at center, about 70" on the walls (and have to bend down a little to get out the door). Have to say it's nice to be able to stand up in the 6x10, especially when living in it for extended periods!
