I am not only a Malayalee - I am a NAIR. I am so bloody proud of it too; why shouldn't I be? The caste system is entrenched in India and although many lofty ideas have been written down in the Indian constitution, NO ONE (regardless of caste or religion) has ever legally enforced it so this man is not to blame. Just salivate at the delicacies and move on with your "bhavanaonki tokri".
Mostly”Indian food” is Panjabie food. Each region should be proud of their delicacies....otherwise rich inheritance of culture, language and food will disappear.
@Sul sur Please kindly walk into any of the restaurants in the west that says “ Indian Food” or any of the food blogs by non-Indian , clearly the wood being tasted and served is Panjabie food. As mentioned above in my comment previously each region has its own unique food inheritance . Nothing wrong with giving credit to the region it came from, give credit where it is due.

Its true a vegetarian diet prevents many illness, such as diabetes, cancers, heart problems, etc. But that said because someone is a vegetarian does not mean you are going to be a Pius person, on the contrary, many of histories most vicious and violent individuals very pure vegetarians, such as Hitler, Pol Pot from Cambodia who slaughtered his own countrymen, being vegetarian is no guarentee of being peaceful, everything needs to be balanced in life. Great video and the food looks superb, cant wait to visit Edison in the near future and try your scrumptious food. 👍🏼🇮🇳🇺🇸🕉
I'd argue milk is even worse than meat... impregnate a cow against her will, she lactates, offspring is born, taken away from her mother at birth, if it is male, it is sent to slaughter, if it is female, the exploitation repeats. After being milked for milk its entire life, in the fag end she is left to roam and die on the streets or sent to slaughter. The hypocrisy of our population is amazing.
Instead of enjoying the video about passionate people having a restaurant on Indian food, you narrow minded people in the comment section took a little part from the video him talking about why he only prepares vegetarian food and took it to another level. One misconception about south Indian cuisine is that it is mostly vegetarian. That's not true. 96% of Tamil Nadu is non vegetarian. Similar numbers for Andhra and Kerala. Seafood and mutton are integral parts of South indian cuisine.

I’m sorry you hate your caste and culture and you feel inferior and project it as if you are being oppressed by Brahmins even now. Today’s Brahmins aren’t responsible for what our ancestors did just like how you guys shouldn’t feel victimised because your forefathers didn’t have enough balls to unite and end such bad systems. Ever heard of French Revolution, American civil war, Russian revolution? Even better struggle for Indian independence? See in those cases people united, revolted and ended bad systems in society. Why didn’t you “oppressed” people unite with other fellow “oppressed” people and revolt and end such system? The whole upper caste lower caste thing went on for at least 2000 years right? Sounds like your forefathers were quite ok with it if they let it go on for so long. If anything you guys should be mad that your forefathers who say around and did nothing about it except cry about it. Hey fun fact.... there were and still are caste systems in Europe and misfile east and other parts of Asia. They didn’t sit around and cry about how much they got oppressed how badly they are victimised. They took responsibility of their own lives and moved ahead in life. Another fun fact.... Blacks in America have been thought unimaginable things during Atlantic slave trade and slavery that went on for 400 years. They didn’t sit around crying. They too took responsibility and moved ahead in lives... the best athletes, musicians, singers, directors, music stars, scientists etc are blacks. And those rich ones get racially profiled and they still don’t play victim. Another fun fact no2 - Brahmins were only scholars and priests.... ruling class were Khshatriyas and other castes.... they enabled this whole upper caste lower castes thing. How about you shove some of your “ballsless victim card” down their throats too?
End of the day it's about business , money and power, if Vedas were made available to other castes, the services of Brahmins priests wouldn't be necessary. It's this monopoly and certain rituals to be performed exclusively by these priests has to go. It's like if ios becomes open source, who will buy I phones? Brahmins monopoly has done more damage to Hinduism than any good, and other religions are very well taking advantage of that. If Hinduism perishes this will be the reason, mark by words. Foolishness for selfish reasons of Brahmins will potentially destroy this great faith . Evolve or perish.
In corporate world or engineering, Brahmins would make sure they promote or hire their own community over other castes, given an opportunity, it's open secret, who are you fooling?
Ross business money and power? You think priests and scholars has money? What a truck load of bullshit. You think priests today have any money? Apart from 1% of priests most of them barely get by. And what were ruling class people doing when other caste people weren’t allowed to read Vedas? Why can’t you answer that? Btw priests have been so poor from many decades they find it tough to get brides to marry. They go to remotest places of north India to get brides.
Ross I’m aware that some people have done that. But this casteism and giving preference to one’s own caste and community people exists in all castes. Not just Brahmins. Also no one has suffered and lost everything as much as Brahmins because of caste reservation bullshit.
@@srividyarao7820 I am talking about the situation for centuries the Brahmin monopoly keeping the Vedas exclusively for themselves, which has crippled the evolution, distribution of knowledge and caused stagnation of the society. Even today with tax evasion, without income tax priests live far better lives than professionals, I am sure you have some sort of Udupi connection, then you already know the modus operandi , not saying everyone is prosperous, perhaps lack of marketing skills lol. It seems as long as you belong to the exclusive club, why worry ,Hinduism can go to the dogs, who cares?

Welcome to the melting pot
Love south indians from West Bengal 💕
I am a hardcore meat-eater but I need South-Indian vegetarian food in my life. This beautiful, hardworking family are true to their culture, providing a great service without offending anyone.
8:56 that awkward moment when nobody laughs at your joke but you
I love my indian culture very much...god bless indians all over the globe
Love from Kerala, Southern Part Of India
South Indian food is my favorite food.
I think it's terrible how everyone calls North Indian food "Indian food" but when it's South Indian food then they have to specify "South Indian."
@Sul sur My favourite is Idle with Nariyal Chutney from Dravidian Cuisine. I openly give credit to Dravidian food even though, I cook it home and share with my non-Indian friends. I let them know where it is from. I don’t end up Undermine the Dravidian identity.
All of us don't say that, here in India we call north indian food only.
Hakkaishin Goku25 Sorry sir , they are known as Panjabie restaurant and Panjabie Dhabas, to clump them as “ North Indian food” is again undermining Panjabie Identity. It is a recent trend , To call “ North Indian food” how is this right to call “ South Indian Food” so Kanadda, Orissa, Malayia and Tamil Food is the same ?
What a beautiful family!!! G-D bless them! They can all teach us the meaning of family!!!
You make more sense than any educated Indian on UA-cam 😂👏
I'd argue milk is even worse than meat... impregnate a cow against her will, she lactates, offspring is born, taken away from her mother at birth, if it is male, it is sent to slaughter, if it is female, the exploitation repeats. After being milked for milk its entire life, in the fag end she is left to roam and die on the streets or sent to slaughter. The hypocrisy of our population is amazing.
No
Proof about PolPot or Hitler!
Instead of enjoying the video about passionate people having a restaurant on Indian food, you narrow minded people in the comment section took a little part from the video him talking about why he only prepares vegetarian food and took it to another level. Is it so hard to appreciate hard working people? Whatever he believes or wants to serves is his business as he owns the business. He is not harming anybody. You people have more respect and interest for people who do wrong in life. They have quite a large platform.
Ayeee India food is lit 🔥 love from Murcia 🇺🇸
One misconception about south Indian cuisine is that it is mostly vegetarian. That's not true. 96% of Tamil Nadu is non vegetarian. Similar numbers for Andhra and Kerala. Seafood and mutton are integral parts of South indian cuisine.
Those vegetarians take egg as veg. So don't make it count
He never said that South Indian food is vegetarian by default. He mentioned that most south indian brahmins are vegetarians and likewise consume vegetarian food.
96% of Tamilnadu Nonveg?
bro I'm 100% Tamilian living in TN, no way 96% non veg
Check ur facts man
He said most of the South Indian Brahmins are vegetarian. Basically satvik diet.

Sick of hearing the brahmin elitism being snuck into the conversation.. no matter how many Thursday evenings you go to the temple, you don’t learn that all human beings are equal. Sad.
@Phantom Pain That is not his brahmin elitism but more like your non-brahmin inhumanism or cultural self-annihilism that is the source of your aggravation while watching. I am not sure what you stand for.. hollow self-hatred. Your values must be probably mediocrity, anarchism and oppurtunism without any responsibility...just take and snatch and negate but never offer, construct and contribute. Parasite culture.
tube or not tube You need professional help, sir/madam.
He never said other castes are below him. You are just making assumption with your biased mind.
@@subaruyagami2327 No you are just saying his caste is elitism when all thru the video he is talks about family, importance of serving thru food, dedication, building relationship, hard work, piety, his veggie food etc.. Why is that elitism ? Your viewing lense is just focused on his caste.. why ? When did you last encounter a brahmin who persecuted you? Just quoting history and constantly playing the victim card even while watching him talk about his values and tradition..why does that make you insecure ? Its pure primal hate and you want too see him gravel in poverty and suffer. Why ?

Really i am appreciate to my Tamil men becomed in America business development
Just some food for thought for all those who feel everything is fine with this video:
There is no hatred against Brahmins here. There is contention against recognizing cast, something which our constitution aims to abolish to suppress institutional racism, rather than anything personal against the man or his family. The moment we start associating cultural values with caste, we take the first step towards caste-based discrimination. Hence its all right for us to be proud of our geographical roots, being a Tamilian in this case, but not of our caste, being a "Tam Brahm".
For perspective, imagine a video of a White old dude saying he is proud of being a white restaurant owner for 20 minutes. Your perception towards that might be very different.
I don't miss anything in the world. What a man! 🙏🙏
These gujjus and punjus mostly help their siblings for whatever selfish or social reason.... less in my near family ...my so called relatives dads sister own chain of dunkins, thankfully not in India, cause there are vadas who the heck will want sweet vada.. ! I don’t mind chocolate donut though. Anyway enough said..
Reddylion just try eating vada daily you will never get fat, but doughnuts will make you look like sumo within weeks,
Dipankar Singh I meant sweet vada = sweet donuts . I wouldn’t want to eat it everyday unlike crispy vada, Though deep fried.
Exactly there was a documentary why Dunkin couldn't make it big in India. Obviously Sweet Vada kon khaega 😂😂
Saurabh Chaudhary hmm
dickhead we are not punjus ,we are pround punjabis. Punjabis not only help siblings we help strangers too unless you are not so mean.
I saw so many keralist, kanada or talgu people having better friendship with punjabis them their own community.

All the people bashing Brahmins and calling them
Oppressors elitists etc. I’m sorry you aren’t proud of your culture and ancestors like some Brahmins are.
It seems as long as you belong to the exclusive club, why worry ,Hinduism can go to the dogs, who cares?
wasn't there a video about them on munchies few years ago?
While a majority of Indians are meat lovers, and this is especially more true in the case of South Indians - all southern states except Karnataka have more than 90% of their population identifying as meat eaters , it's so convoluted how Indian restaurants and cuisines as portrayed by Western media are all vegetarian.
