I lived in Kamla Nagar as a student, one block away from this legendary shop some 17-18 years ago. These chhole bhaturey were a staple. Recently got a chance to have them again and By God! they still taste the same! These men know their craft. I wish them nothing but success

India's scale of earning as a overall including rich or poor is certainly mediocre. It's just India as collective figure could not provide that level of earning which developed or developing parts of the world are insured with.
It’s been 25 years for me since I graduated from Kirori mal and I miss the chacha more than my time in college, now my kids are a big fan of chache di hatti ❤
I graduated from KM in 1969, and this was luxury for us middle class family to spend 40 paisa (Yes No Typo 40 paisa) for 2 bhatura and chole. Loved it. I am sure will visit one of these days to taste again the meal I loved the most for lunch. There also used to be a cycle chole wala with a big thava where we would heat our home made Roti with a plate of chole for 10 paisa. He used to be right behind the back gates of KM leading to Kamla nagar. Also there used to be an India coffee house where we would cut the class and go have a masala dosa for 30 or 35 paisa. Good old days when money was dear, but now have all the money but not able to go and enjoy living in America for last 40 plus years!
I grew up in Delhi, moved out of India and watching this video made my mouth water so much and made me miss the food. I just have one request for them, please start opening the shop on Sundays!! Chole Bhature are the staple breakfast for Sundays!!

Right from my KMC days in eighties, I have been their regular client. Very well said by owners that the branded chole bhature costing 150-200 per plate are worthless compared to their offering. I have observed the Haldiram or Bikaneri bhature turn papad after sometime whereas Chacha ke bhature retains the softness even till next day. Their only emerging competitor is just round the corner to their shop I.e. SS Amritsari kulche wala

Their consistency is key apart from the obviously great taste- even their bustiers are stuffed.. love this place, the food and the people selling are very kind and talk respectfully too

There chana bhathuras are the best I have ever tasted. Have been a fan since my college days a good 35 years now. They have steadfastly maintained their quality and taste and hats off to them for that.
I also grew up eating these delicious chole bhature 😋and still have very fond memories of it. When I use to visit my nana nani’s house it was at their back ally. It’s been 40+ years and I still miss them , now since I leave in Canada I miss them more 😌. Hopefully one fine day will go back to Kamala nagar to eat my favourite food 🥰

I live in Canada and we had a restaurant that had the softest, most delicious Bhatura, not oily at all, and the Chole looked like that, thick and creamy… I used to pick up some for me and my family once a month for literally decades, then one I went there and it’s another restaurant there! It closed and I will never be the same again. I was heart-broken, I still think about it 13 years later…😢😢 Where did they goooo?!!! Why would they do that to me?

Grew up in the hood, Chacha makes good chole bhature. In my opinion, there's another which tastes even better. I have a list of all the great chole places in old delhi :)

Have you ever heard about Radheshaym chole bhature (paharganj)?? He is the real king 1. Radhe Shyam 2. Nagpal ( ashok Vihar) 3. CDH 4. Sitaram Diwanchand( paharganj) 5. Shri ganesh corner (laxminagar) 6. Haldiram ( jb kuch na mile)
Radhe Shyam's too overrated. People who havent had good chole bhature overhype it. As for Shri Ganesh Corner, it serves cow dung and not chole bhature. Dont know about Nagpal Ashok Vihar, but Nagpal Gandhi Nagar sells good stuff. Sitaram used to be good but now its quality has degrded a lot. Best Chole bhature I've had are those of Om Di Hatti(Shkati Nagar Chowk), CDH and Gol Hatti(Fatehpuri).

This is my all time favorite place. We used to live very close to this place. Now, whenever we go to Delhi, we get Chole Bathure from this place.

I am somehow loving his way of talking, he is with so punjabi/pakistani mixed accent and talking very common things. Not sure if someone has noticed but he address reporter as "beta" (@1:23 + other times as well) which isvery genuine intself.

Grew up in the hood, Chacha makes good chole bhature. In my opinion, there's another which tastes even better. I have a list of all the great chole places in old delhi :)

@@theawantikamishra you need to go to nand di hatti in sadar bazar. According to my own non scientific method, it's the best I have tested ever. once you do try it let me know your thoughts on it

Nostalgic Memory of Delhi ...I use to stay there and have that chole bhature of Chache di Hatti in year 2001 , uncle use to have black hair that time ...I left Delhi long time back
I had eaten and enjoyed chole bhature at this particular shop. there was a big queue.
This is in North campus, Delhi university area. I did my law there. I ate like at least 500 times here.

Ye hi real serial h chole bhature ka delhi mei.. & Radheyshyam Delhi's 👌1.
I've tried them all. They taste great but still paani bharte hain yeh sab Chache di hatti ke aage.
Radhe Shyam's too overrated. People who havent had good chole bhature overhype it. As for Shri Ganesh Corner, it serves cow dung and not chole bhature. Dont know about Nagpal Ashok Vihar, but Nagpal Gandhi Nagar sells good stuff. Sitaram used to be good but now its quality has degrded a lot. Best Chole bhature I've had are those of Om Di Hatti(Shkati Nagar Chowk), CDH and Gol Hatti(Fatehpuri).
