      @Anonymous-lu7xr 2 роки тому +3

      @hello
      Well if you mention "world" in your comment then even as per current world's standard 90/- is fairly reasonable price which is equivalent to $1.13. India's scale of earning as a overall including rich or poor is certainly mediocre. It's just India as collective figure could not provide that level of earning which developed or developing parts of the world are insured with.

      I graduated from KM in 1969, and this was luxury for us middle class family to spend 40 paisa (Yes No Typo 40 paisa) for 2 bhatura and chole. Loved it. I am sure will visit one of these days to taste again the meal I loved the most for lunch. There also used to be a cycle chole wala with a big thava where we would heat our home made Roti with a plate of chole for 10 paisa. He used to be right behind the back gates of KM leading to Kamla nagar. Also there used to be an India coffee house where we would cut the class and go have a masala dosa for 30 or 35 paisa. Good old days when money was dear, but now have all the money but not able to go and enjoy living in America for last 40 plus years!

    I also grew up eating these delicious chole bhature 😋and still have very fond memories of it. When I use to visit my nana nani’s house it was at their back ally. It’s been 40+ years and I still miss them , now since I leave in Canada I miss them more 😌. Hopefully one fine day will go back to Kamala nagar to eat my favourite food 🥰

      My last visit to this fine lunch time place while in KM College was 1969. Back then it was 40 paisa (No typo 40 p) for a plate and was a luxury. Living in US now for 40 plus years and want to visit and eat here one more time with my family and kids.

      Instead of seeing it as small mind try to see the reason for it {it is not driven by profit alone otherwise look at how food is getting homogenized globally}. Diversity only remains when it is rooted locally.

    I live in Canada and we had a restaurant that had the softest, most delicious Bhatura, not oily at all, and the Chole looked like that, thick and creamy…
    I used to pick up some for me and my family once a month for literally decades, then one I went there and it’s another restaurant there! It closed and I will never be the same again. I was heart-broken, I still think about it 13 years later…😢😢
    Where did they goooo?!!! Why would they do that to me?

    2. Nagpal ( ashok Vihar)
    3. CDH
    4. Sitaram Diwanchand( paharganj)
    5. Shri ganesh corner (laxminagar)
    6. Haldiram ( jb kuch na mile)

      Radhe Shyam's too overrated. People who havent had good chole bhature overhype it. As for Shri Ganesh Corner, it serves cow dung and not chole bhature. Dont know about Nagpal Ashok Vihar, but Nagpal Gandhi Nagar sells good stuff. Sitaram used to be good but now its quality has degrded a lot. Best Chole bhature I've had are those of Om Di Hatti(Shkati Nagar Chowk), CDH and Gol Hatti(Fatehpuri).
