No one has ever explained this so basically to me before. Your first three minutes of instruction made so many light bulbs turn on above my head. I thank you.
Hi Casey, It's a great aside watching you eat toast in your videos. Really brightens up my day. It's really nice to have great young guys like yourself teach us older guys new things. Keep up the great work! Sincerely
9:03 For those (me) who don't understand how to stack merge nodes you can think of it like a piece of paper, you create an "image" then put something on top of it. Then you put something on top of that, and on top of that and so on. Or in terms of the nodes, you create your merge, then that becomes the background of the next merge node, and so on until you have everything you want before finally outputting to Media Out.
I'm starting to love fusion. The best part for me is being able to save my nodes and then drop them into other places. My latest creation is a bunch of text and merge nodes that creates a title screen that I use in different parts of my project.
Brilliant! You answered my question from last video about using multiple media clips in fusion, by highlighting the fact I don't use merge nodes correctly!
So If I've got two text, each going in to a node, how do I move both text at the same time: Background >> Merge node 1 (bg in=Background, fore= text1)>>Merge Node 2 (Bg= Merge node 1 fore= text2), what do I need to do to be able to move both text nodes together? I'm sure it's something simple but I'm stumped.
Casey: Newbie here -- So when you have text going into a merge node, you are using the merge node to affect things like the text's position or scale. Question: Why wouldn't you just do that on the text node rather than on the merge node?
Hi Casey, quick question: is there a way to add music or sounds to text via merging? if you have a link of your tutorial that would be great. Thank you in advance :)
I've never used Davinci before so I'm totally ignorant to it, have no idea about nodes but kind of get it. My image isn't connecting to transform node. I may have to learn this before I attempt this video because forgive me I'm so very lost, lol!
Casey---I love your videos, and I really want to do DaVinci Resolve. However, every time I import a video into DaVinci, the frame rate seems to be off. It is "lagging." I have been filming in 23.98 frames per second. I don't have this problem when I edit in other editing softwares. Do you have any suggestions, or should I record in a different frame speed to play better with DaVinci?
Hey man, can you please make a tutorial type of thing on how to make a gaming funny video, like adding memes and zooming in etc etc. please man, would be genuinely appreciated , much love, peace!
awesome new video!!! im struggling a little here, ive got davinici but when i press on the fusion tab, it completely crashes. my AMD drivers are all up to date and stuff, did you ever encounter this kind of issue?
Why didn't they just put multiple inputs on the same merge block? it would save ton of space on the screen. if I wanted to add 3 more layers, i would just create three more green inputs on one merge block and then connect them to the relevant layers...
Is there a Merge Node that will let me connect DVE node with a Duplicate 3D node? I'm wanting to use the DVE node to rotate a png thru the Z axis, but I want it to have some thickness, so I was using the Duplicate 3D node to do that (as I learned in this video [https: //youtu. be/LZr4ayi1v18] which is "How To Make a PNG Image Rotate Three-Dimensionally In DaVinci Resolve" by @C0ntiChannel. I learned about the DVE node from this [https: //youtu. be/YHzebWYg79s], or "3D Card - Davinci Resolve 16/17" by Simon Stansfield, which seems a lot easier of a control to rotate thru an extra dimension. Problem is, I am having trouble getting these two things to sort of combine. Nothing seems to want to be attached to DVE Node at all. How can I use the DVE Node and still give "thickness" to the rotating object like I was getting with the Duplicate3D Node?
dont know if it is just me, but if i use the effetct and "mask controll" is disabled, nothing works... with mask controll it works more or less with the current davinci version

The added comedy along side a great tutorial a stroke of genius my friend! Thank you!

Man, the ONE thing I needed to hear was being able to hover over the icons to see what inputs they were. Saved me so much headache.
This is the best video on the internet

Casey could teach a film course and a comedy class at the same time. Talent.
I love your tutorials. And I’m so delighted to see that you have your little yellow warning triangle lit as well, just like mine, on your fusion tab.
Worth watching more than once 👍
Great video as usual
If only Microsoft could get some advice for a consistent and well working UI from the Davinci developers...
Well done tutorial! :D
Best youtuber on this app
Thank you, lot of time saved!
How did I live before that CTRL+T shortcut? Ty
You explained it in a very understandable way. Thank you.

10:20 - best moment of whole video
Thanks for the explanation, great job!
Thank you for the lesson on nodes. Do you have a tutorial for memory? Mine isn't working.
as always ,, on point
Yummy Node Playlist 👍
I wonder if the multimerge wasn't a node 3 years ago...
I think the Matte example is going to help me making stream overlays thank you!
Did you make it?

May you do a video discussing the Channel Booleans node?

Excellent tutorials! Keep it up
I'd there a material merge for shaders I'm pretty sure I added one earlier but couldn't remember what menu it was from
Great tutorial & really easy to follow along. I can't wait for the more advanced ones! 😀
Great stuff. Thanks
How to toggle back and forth between node-set versions ? I want to switch off temporary all nodes with a noise reduction node that loads my GPU.
Dopeness!
Thank you very much
How do I merge A or B ? not A over B with controls, but I need A to switch off and show only B, PLS
If my merge node is in red (error) how to I find out what is the mistake?
Very Helpful!
how do you animate nods separate from each other?

Your frame rate for your project may be 24. Change it to 23.98 before you make a timeline
@@CaseyFaris Thanks so much! I'll give it a try!
