I've been through that crazy stuff before with those TI-84 love. The company should have a minimum amount of money you would be guaranteed of per day. Because what you're going through when you go through that is so extremely frustrating I guess it wouldn't be called downtime but there should be some other sort of designation for all the aggravation somebody would go through for all of that. At my last job there was a guaranteed minimum you would make for the week I don't know if they have that here!?! I never heard of it though

I have been there!!! Trailer tire blew before I got off the property. After waiting for breakdown to save me and the time for the repair, I was about out of hours. I rode a short distance to a safe haven and started over the next day!
I drive a Cascadia with Schneider Intermodal. I had that same problem and they actually replaced the seatbelt buckle that comes from the floor. It remidied the problem. That beeping is annoying as it is when you release the buckle when the air brake button is pushed in. Uggggghhhh😫😫
Unfortunately they'll just claim it happened after they dropped it and was moved within the yard. Now the overdue T1 inspections are different. How overdue was the last one Kevin found?
@@TheJoyofTrucking It is actually a side job. I travel as a truck driver and give other truckers tickets to make money so I can eventually afford to go home.

Even searching the internet and UA-cam channels specifically for weighing trucks give different instructions. Good luck to you Kevin. How much information do you get at these trucking schools? Seems to be important, right? Set your airbrakes, don't set your airbrakes, etc.
We have the same issue. It’s not even explained on the CAT Scale website. Wasn’t taught in school. In 3 weeks with his trainer at Werner they never scaled once! 😳😳😳So glad our videos help new drivers.

When I work for Werner every time when I go to the terminal they run the trailer number and 50% of the time will tell me it need a inspection and I will not allow to leave without completing it. It’s annoying cuz I don’t get pay by doing extra work and waste me times too when they forgot to do it and I can’t leave with the trailer lol. Really hate it when they think it’s the drivers job to do those kind of work and they don’t need to pay for the time and the work 😅
When your phone separates like that. Its because your phone battery got to hot from been left on for so long. I had three do that and took them in . That’s what professionals told me. They replace the battery with a new one and put screen back in place. It’s only certain batteries that do that.

@jimmysteiger4102 I do the plates are all separate when you pull on scale they move back an forth if you apply the brakes and catch them moving you can get a false reading
We have heard that it can affect the weight reading. I guess we think that the laws of gravity remain the same and are indifferent to brake settings. We've looked online and don't find any clear reason as to why it would affect weight. Is it the compressed air? Hopefully there is a sufficient margin of error. If you know more, please let us know. Always open to learning.
@TheJoyofTrucking if their was room for error cat scale would not put it up in thier directions. Where are you getting compressed air from ? The scales sit on big coil springs and if you are talking about air in your suspension the rules are the same for spring trucks
@TheJoyofTrucking Laws of gravity ? It's more the forward and backward movement the different plates when you slam on the brakes that is not 1 piece plate under your axles you have 2 plate that move independently of each other you have to make sure they both settle down before you get a correct reading
I don't think you ever mentioned, except that you were still waiting for the call, what happened with your inspection. You mentioned that the tire place was just around the corner from the TA, but you seemed to be driving through Denver.
@@TheJoyofTrucking I just seemed that Kevin was really concerned about not having it. Was it the yearly one that if you are 'inspected' by the State, they can red tag you?
@@Kalamabbfan No. it was a T-1 for the trailer. Crete does an inspection in their trailers every 120 days. The DOT is good for a year. So that wasn’t an issue. 😃

That TA is the worst one in the country! I have to fuel there tomorrow and I'm dreading it.

That's why I do flatbed
No flat tires?

Pilot app too. Ta app also works but you still have to answer questions at the pump.

Where did you two park for the night? There's virtually nothing between TA in Wheat Ridge and TA Grand Junction. Did you make it to Grand Junction?

Glad y’all are back on the road and I got a question I got lost when Kevin was explaining the regulations for California loads
There is a 40' kingpin rule, so the trailer tandems have to be set at 40' or less for Cali. It's a lot to explain but that is the gist of it
Shouldnt you have weighed the unit after they fixed the tire bc then it would be filled with air?

May I ask a question do you think they would hire someone who has health problems
Shame on TA. Why can't people be straight forward and honest. Leaving you on the hook for hours is just wrong. Glad you found someone else.
Hav u done any flatbed trucking??
Nope. After 11 years landscaping in the Caribbean Kevin didn’t want to do flatbed. Just wants to drop and hook. 😆😆😆😁

Does Crete give you breakdown/delay pay? 10 hours, wow
Nice video. What CPM is Kevin @ right now?
Well thats what you call trucking........................

Do you drive mostly during to day?
Yes. It’s very rare that Kevin drives late or very early. He does his own trip planning and arranges his schedule. 😃👍
How should weight be distributed over axles?
No more than 12000 on your steer axle, no more than 34000 on your drive axle & no more than 34000 on your rear axle
