Greetings from Ontario Canada!! Just found your channel and love the content. Day to day trucking tasks of a dry van trucker. Just what I want to see. I’m 62 and in the process of getting my CDL. My wife and I are recently retired and I’m trying to convince her to come on the road with me as a second career. I admire your relationship with Tonya, having a pal with you over all those miles is worth a lot. For now, I’ve convinced her to at least watch your channel with me. It’s a start.👍

Great video, I have a friend that has a 680 with a Cummings automatic says he has trouble backing up smoothly was wondering if Kevin ever has that problem, just watching your videos it seems he never has that problem, be safe 🎉❤
Very happy here! Treated with respect. Good equipment. Good money. Still trucking, of course, so nothing’s perfect. 😉😆But MUCH better than Werner. A lot less stress and much better money.
Glad you enjoy the videos. And thanks for wishing us safety and fun. But…when I am having fun out come “the woohoos and [what you call] histrionics [and I call joy, enthusiasm, zest for life].” 🤷♀️ So…they will continue.
Your channel, your choice. My time, my choice. Sincerely, safe travels and have fun. I do wish you well. I enjoyed learning from Kevin, a careful and talented professional who says much by saying less. Thank you.
Where is this at? Might be in upper Midwest I see some Halvor trucks. How is it getting time off at Crete are they pretty strict 6 on 1 off I think? And that 1 is not your 34 right?
Those paper rolls don’t need to be secured. If it was a huge issue the shipper would make sure two load locks or straps were in the trailer before loading. I did GA pacific dedicated with swift before I came to Crete. Loads are always heavy and don’t need to be secured. The only way to tip or flip them is careless driving and driver error. Never have I ever put a strap or bar with those paper rolls.
Good that you take safety seriously. If you notice…There’s a nonskid pad. Rolls are too tall to tip. And they left a space in between two sections so no way to secure the two sections of rolls.
Load has to be secured, that should have 2 straps across the last roll,it's in the regs under load securement,if you were to get checked at a scale an inspected, you will get a ticket for an insecure load, just saying,

I've been to that paper mill 100 times and you went through neighborhoods I've never seen. And there was an easier way to get to the pilot.

Most shelves would be empty without dry van drivers. Sad you have the need to put other people down to make yourself feel better.

This comment made me sad, especially after noticing several unsavory comments from him towards his wife. Life's too short not to be sweet❤
Wasn't that end of trailer lower than the drives?
🤔🤔🤔Yes. By 220 pounds. A little extra on the drives is better traction.
Where is this at? Might be in upper Midwest I see some Halvor trucks. How is it getting time off at Crete are they pretty strict 6 on 1 off I think? And that 1 is not your 34 right?

👍👍👍😃
Was this video taken in Chillicothe, Ohio?
Yes 👍
Is your front axle rated for 14k?
Isn't the load tied down? Didn't see binders or straps.
They usually block the large rolls of paper. There’s nothing in the trailer to tie off one of those huge rolls.
There are no-skid pads. No way to secure them additionally as they left a big space between two sections of rolls. Too tall to tip over.
@@TheJoyofTrucking look up Konginkangas accident in Finland and think again if the load needs to be secured.

Fine question. 🤔
