- With the autumn/winter season now well underway, I thought it was time to make some big confessions about what I’ve been buying lately. This season I’ve been investing in a few key items - think tailoring and classic shoes - plus a few mad statement pieces that I simply couldn’t resist. Have any sartorial gems caught your eye lately? My advice is to think about how many different ways you can wear a piece before you buy, perhaps trying it on at home to see how it works with your existing wardrobe. In my (extensive) experience, it’s the best way to avoid buyer’s remorse…

I prefer the longer trousers they def make your legs look longer (you've said before you have shorter legs). That velvet is fabulous! The perfect pants on you. Love the style!
Thank god for your pop of colour at the end. This season I’ve found shops are stocking all black! I’m trying to build more colour in my wardrobe and thinking I should save my Pennies for spring!

The pink cocoon jacket is a Sophie D’Hoor from Poepke in Paddington (Sydney). It is beautiful, but not great if one is 5ft 😢😢😢. It hurts to cut off 1/3 of the length

@@traceyjohnson4108 They're giving the opinion of younger folk - it's the style these days to wear oversized on oversized. Since Trinny was worrying about looking like a little girl or too frumpy, they're actually giving her useful tips on how to pull it off in a modern way.
But I completely understand how, to folk who were taught their whole lives to dress 'Flatteringly', that it may take some time for their eye to adjust.

@andie9762 Trinny said she categorised this fluoro, hot pink cocoon coat as an eccentric or fantasy item. She mentioned Yellow Flouro, so I think that's where she's heading with her styling. To really use this coat as a Wow or Feature Piece.
