Forging King's Spirit Spear [Chastiefol] - The Seven Deadly Sins

- Matt and Ilya forge King's (Harlequin) Sacred Treasure Spirit Spear Chastiefol from The Seven Deadly Sins Manga and Netflix show. We forge the spear solid from H-13 air cooling steel so that we can do some brazing with our Harris Torch later on in the build. This has all the blacksmithing you could ever want. Big Power Hammer forging with punching and drifting. Loads of grinding work is done to the spear after forging. We use our Even Heat Kiln to show the proper way to heat treat an H 13 blade. We also use Lincoln Electric's Fc-90 to weld the parts of the spear all together.

No disrespect to Men At Arms, but your Chastiefol looks 10 times more authentic, and props to Ilya for forging the whole blade out of 1 piece. You guys rock.
Finally found them....Man dont get my wrong. Men at Arms: Reforged was dope. But without Matt and Ilya it doesnt feel right. I hoped and search for them and now my search is over with.
I really enjoy the in depth technical side Matt and Ilya bring to forging weapons, the detail and craftmanship is next to none and their interpretation on how the weapon would look like brought to reality from fictional world.

That Works Chastifol vs Man at Arms Chastifol... I have to say I prefer Matt and Ilyas.
I know a joke similar to the one you toldd. A man finds a genie lamp while strolling on the beach one day, and once rubbing it, a genie appears. "For releasing me," claims the genie, "I will grant you three wishes. However, your ex-wife will receive double your wish." The man ponders a small while, then is ready to wish. "First, I would like $10 million in jewels." "Done. You have two wishes remaining." At that moment, $20 million worth of precious jewels appeared before before his ex, and $10 million before he. The man replies with his second wish, stating "I want food to last a lifetime." Instantly, the man was surrounded with all sorts of confections. His ex, however, got 2 lifetimes worth. "What do you want for your final wish?" asked genie. "For my final wish," the man said with a smile, "scare me half to death."

I watched the Man at Arms one first and they did an okay job, but my major complaint was they didn't do a single piece blade construction welding it like that gave it to big of a stress point to be a an effective long lasting weapon. I was super pleased to see the skill level of Ilya shown here.
Love that he busted out a joke from one of the best philosophers of our time.

This was an incredibly edited video. The craftsmanship of the spear is amazing, but someone needsto high-five the editor. Magnífico.
This is my favourite weapon from the series and you both did an amazing job recreating it.
BKS just made this same spear today, and (1) the cameras really make a difference, (2) glad to see you decided to forge as much of the weapon as possible instead of how Kerry's team did it (mill almost everything except for the very tip of the spear).
I could watch Matt and Ilya forge anything for hours. So amazing, yall deserve an anime about you both.
