Sleep is super essential. I have severe sleep apnea (35 obstructions per hour) and I slept 12 hours with horrible quality sleep. Before I had my CPAP (treatment for sleep apnea) I would try to run a mile every day and I did it but I had to add more rest days. My legs were jello everyday and eventually I had to stop. I later finally got treatment for my sleep apnea and I slept sososooo much better. I had deeper sleep that really helped restore my body when I ran. So I tried running everyday and I was able to recover properly and I felt so much better!! Sleep is super important

You are truly inspiring, Nick. Thank you for being upfront and down-to-Earth about your struggles and successes.
Here in France during our lockdown, we were limited to a 1 km radius around our home, so staying focused and doing the workouts solo was tough too. I managed in the two months to (almost) complete one of your 8x1000@3:40 pace workouts, which I could never have done last year (my 10K PB is only 38:30). • @ChasingChinster

This is great, honest content. It really shows that it takes lots of (consistent!) hard work to see results. Nick is a former Olympian who has plenty of knowledge to lean back on, access to sports psychologists, someone to speak to about recovery, workout routines, etc. and the results after 30 days were still relatively modest. Many 'body transformation' videos online give unrealistic expectations but consistency, trusting, and enjoying the process are the most important things.

I don’t like the concept of bulking because when you try to cut after your bulk you almost inevitably lose all the muscle you just gained. The only way to gain real sustainable lean muscle in lifting consistently over a long period of time.
