As the guy who was living in this house prior to all of this, that was extremely fun to watch. I'm glad you got to do this Thub. It seems like it was worthwhile. To the commenters who think this was a "perfectly good house" I assure you, it was not. Though it may not have been the worst house, there were many deficiencies. Too many to mention here. It needed to be demolished. As far as i know, it was purchased for around $750K. In its place 2 houses will be built that will likely be listed for about a million each. Call it what you want but that's just good business.

Yeah... that's where i make the best $$$ from house clean-outs! Usually the appliances are older than 5 years... but for the stove, fridge, dishwasher, oven I usually make $100 for each appliance. If there is a washer/dryer set... that's an easy $250+. Then I breakdown the scrap into the most valuable price point. When I have a truck worth of scrap... then I turn it in! My biggest load to date is 1400 pounds of steel (2700 for the year), 450 pounds of aluminum. I'm still consolidating my wire to take in next with my next steel load. And i have yet to turn in the 1500 pounds of heavy iron.

    That was fun!
Was this an older video that you just got around to posting or is your truck finally fixed?

nice. too bad not everyone has access to a house, to scrap copper..lol. i did hear a piece of copper pipe fall off a guys truck.. about 12 feet 7 yrs ago, still using it. one piece is a broom handle!! LOL I was given a good lot of electrical cables, 1 huge motor, about 5lbs of copper in itself! and twisted rope copper in a cord... and i also scout on garbage days, or just in general, finding stuff. better than wasting time with BITCOIN!!! nice find guys..

That was for scrapping a whole house worth of it's copper. To scrap a entire house which I've done several times(more than a dozen) and I will be doing again a lot due to knowing people of high places (not really) just I know a homes company owner who buys homes to tear down and then rebuild new houses in place of those homes. A friend of mine and myself were trying (not sure if we're done trying yet) to start a company where all we do is recycle houses that's being torn down.. we've found you can get as much as $3 and $4000.00 in 2 or 3 long days worth of work outta 2 ppl when scrapping an entire house. (Usually 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home)
