also, this animes "pseudo science" is only kinda wierd, its still based on stuff that makes sense, for example, getting slapped full force on the back is a really painful thing because the back not only has more surface area, but the skin on it is even thinner than on the rest of the body, making the sensation of pain amplified because not only are you causing direct spasms to the muscle but also hitting the nerves on the skin.
