Be careful, the term "NAC" is used in this video to refer to the N-Acetyl version of Carnosine. The term "NAC" is normally used (probably 99% of the time or more) to refer to N-Acetyl-Cysteine. N-Acetyl-Cysteine comes in pill or powder form and is a wonderful substance, but isn't the same thing. If you simply do a search for "NAC", the results you get will likely be for N-Acetyl-Cysteine, not N-Acetyl-Carnosine. You'll need to put the full name into your search if you're looking for N-Acetyl-Carnosine.

I went through the surgery one year ago and it was amazingly simple and easy with no issues. My eyes felt dry for a couple days and I was tired from the drugs when i first got home. Thats it, no pain no problems. I actually drove home after surgery, although this is not recommended. I now no longer require prescription glasses for day to day stuff and im very happy with the results. I need readers to read books close up or food ingredients and things like that. Cost me 4k dollars for fancy lenses.

have been using N-Acetyl-L-Carnosine eye drops for 25 years. Two decades ago, my doctor said I have "junior" cataract and these eye drops wont work. He had me set up for operation in another 5 years. But my cataract absolutely stop progressing since 2003. It causes a mild sting indicative of penetration into the cornea. I do not have night glare or blurred vision. These drops are made by Life Extension, a dedicated company with monthly publications of in-depth articles I have two older brothers, not informed of NAC, both had cataract surgery at about age 70. I am now much older without need for surgery.

Dr. Berg, thank you!! For providing this valuable information to help with cataracts and other eye issues. My eye doctor wanted me to go here, go there, do this, and do that for treatment of my eye issues involving cataracts, and all I would have been doing would be running around and prescribed eye drops to "see" if it would work, basically using me as a test subject and source of their income, with an end result of no better off than when I started. I did as you suggested in this video, and within 3 months, my vision is clearer, my eyes are less gritty, and I see more vividly! So much for all the expertise of those eye doctors who did absolutely nothing! Keep doing what you are doing!!

Our elderly cat (he was about 11 at the time) had a large cataract over the one eye. I sent away for some NAC and we put the drops in his eye every day, two to three times a day. After 2 weeks this cataract (which had covered the whole of the pupil) had completely gone! I must say, I had been a bit sceptical when we sent for it, but it worked! I certainly would use it myself if I ever find I have cataracts.

Many thanks, Dr. Berg, especially for the references in the description. I read most of them and found one, Babizhayev at al.'s (2012) paper, really interesting.
The authors studied a small sample, admittedly, but the results look great, esp. after 24 months. A small excerpt from the abstract here for anyone who's interested:
"After 6 months, 90% of NAC-treated eyes showed improvement in best corrected visual acuity (7 to 100%) and 88.9% showed a 27 to 100% improvement in glare sensitivity."

I was diagnosed with cataracts in June 2023 and was to have surgery in August 2023. Well, after seeing Dr. Berg's information on cataracts, I ordered from Amazon Can-C eye drops. I applied two drops in each eye for about 2 or 3 weeks, and I started seeing better. It is December, and it is time for my annual eye examination. I am 72 years old. Eye examination results: Right eye is 20/20, left eye is 20/25. NAC eye drops work wonders. And NO cataracts.

    Takeaways:
    1. Cataract is a cloudiness in the lens of eye.
    2. It caused by oxidative stress ( rusting) - more oxidation less anti oxidation.
    3. High sugar in blood leads to this.
    4. Mitochondria in eyes are damaged during oxidation.
    5. Cataracts people also have all sorts of sugars. They have Glaucoma, nerve degeneration etc..
6.L- Carnosine in mitochondria is Ph buffer, anti oxidation, anti aging.
So use N-acetylcarnosine (NAC). Use 1 to 2 drops twice or thrice a day. It's cheap and safe.

Thank you for this. I just had a meeting with a specialist. He told me I had cataracts, retinal detachment, floaters (massive -- as if I didn't know!) and one other odd disease. All in all my eyes are bad. His recommendation: wait for cataract surgery sometime in the future. Otherwise nothing. Here, Dr. Berg offers a suggestion which might be useful to prevent, slow or even reverse the cataract situation. It may work, it might not, but it is certainly worth the try. I will. Again, thank you.

He told us he was checking for cataracts and was usually able to diagnose Glactosemic children before a lab test if they had high levels of dairy in their diet, and were critically ill. When they were put on a galactose free diet the cataracts disappeared within a week or so. Hmmm. We asked him if they were sharing this information with adults with cataracts or if he was not allowed. Not allowed. So, thank you for this information

So, the very day he told me that I HAD one……it was READY to be removed surgically. This was the easiest best surgery EVER. Now, what I described is for a SURGICAL removal. That is different than POSSIBLY taking supplements to DISSOLVE the cataract on its own. Thank you Dr. Berg for true blue and transparent!!! I have learned So much from you. I treat my body like I’m gonna need it for 100 years. ❤ 😘

You know, instead of taking all those multivitamins, you could just eat more beef (Vit C, B12), fish (Omega-3), and shellfish (Zinc). Way cheaper than multivitamins and your body can actually make use of them.

In February I went to get an eye exam for the first time in five years an was told I had a severe cataract in my right eye to the point that the doctor did not give me a prescription but referred me to an eye surgeon, who I saw last Monday (6/3). In the meantime I had come across this video, bought the med on Amazon and done a thirty day protocol. The surgeon didn't think the cataract was bad enough to require surgery and sent me back to the original ophthalmologist to get a prescription. I went in on Thursday 6/6. and the doctor was confused because i could now read four lines deeper into the eye chart with my right eye, which is now correctable to 20/20. This stuff worked and I will be doing another thirty days soon.

I was born with poor vision and it was diagnose with a name for the condition but I don't remember but my current eye doctor suggested I take drops as a preventative measure to combat glaucoma. I started at the end of last year but I wasn't taking them properly and the pressure was still pretty high. I was still eating the same stuff, cookies, cakes, all sorts of carbs besides sweets.
In May of this year I started to take my health seriously. So I decided to get healthy so I could lose the weight and whatever other benefit happens, happens. So I cut out all added sugar, soda and carbs combined with IF and I have lost a good amount and my numbers are looking good along with my body accepting the lifestyle change.
Well In Oct/Nov I went for my 4 check up of the year at my eye doctor(As I mentioned I have poor eyesight lol) and the doctor has seen a positive results from my eyes. They haven't gotten worse but they are stable. LOL I am one of whatever number of people who is living proof that we can thrive off not eating the junk and seeing improvements to our overall health.
side note: when I want something sweet I'll eat it but I won't over indulge nor belittle myself for eating a cookie or two. I allow it within my eating window but its a balance so If I am lacking my requirements I won't eat it. lol

I had these drops on my wish list to get a few months ago as they were not cheap (for me $40 is a lot when you're on a fixed income). Went back to buy them & they were removed! I have searched everywhere for these drops & like you, only found them for dogs. Found 1 or 2 other sources outside the US: the one I believe was in New Zealand and the other one I can't remember where because you actually needed a prescription. These drops ARE VERY HARD TO FIND. The only drops I found was for a homeopathic remedy for cataracts & they had some good reviews so may try those as I am in the beginning stages of developing cataracts. But always appreciate your videos. If you find a source for these drops Dr. Berg I hope you'll let us know or try and carry them yourself. I've see a few video's where these drops worked miracles on people! BTW what is your opinion on using castor oil drops in the eyes??? I've heard mixed reviews so have not as yet gone that route.

Dr. Berg, you talk about needing Zinc in our Diet. I'm 67 and I've had Dentures since I was about 30 years old (so for about 37 years now). One of the Denture Adhesives I use has Zinc in it. I've been hearing that I should stop using that product and a lot of Denture Adhesives actually say "Zinc Free". So My Question is, "If I need Zinc, why would/should I stop using a Product with Zinc in it?".
FWIW, My Dad was in the Navy and I was born about 1.5 months premature. I spent a month in an Incubator with High Oxygen Levels (That was just something they did back in 1956) and have had to wear glasses since I began the 1st Grade, when they 1st noticed how bad my Vision was. I've worked outside all of my life and have worn Photogray Safety Lenses to protect my eyes, to some degree. But I don't have any signs of Cataracts/Macular Degeneration/or Glaucoma so I have to wonder if it could have been due to the supposedly High Levels of Zinc in the Adhesive or am I just one of the Blessed Ones?

    • @mjremy2605
      @mjremy2605 11 місяців тому +3

Note: Max Zinc levels in the body is 100 mg per day from all combined sources. Too much Zinc will damage your body and the cells in the retina. Too little Zinc will underperform Vit D3, and lower immune resistance. You need 'just enough'. I find 50 mg Zinc nightly (same time I take my Vit D3 and K2) is perfect. Immunity is high, Vit D3 is activated, and the multivitamin I take at noon has a small amount at 15 mg that still stays under the max limits.
Excessive zinc can indeed damage the retina in the eyes. There are also good and mediocre forms of zinc. Zinc Picolinate and Glycinate are good forms that absorb well. Note that if they absorb well, it is even more important you do not exceed max limits and stay well below them at 50 mg tablet dose.

I used CanC on Amazon, but it has been discontinued, made in India, and considered an infectious drop, luckily I haven't had that problem. Probably wasn't kept clean between uses.
I began seeing more definition and brighter colors. I really don't want to become a statistic by having surgery.

My cataracts were caused by drugs that doctors gave me. One was a steroid inhaler. One was Prednisone and I can't remember the third one.
Before doctors I had 20/20 vision at 51. After doctors, I couldn't even read the big E at the top of the eye chart. I could only count fingers of someone sitting in front of me. Yup, I was pretty much legally blind. That's why I couldn't drive for 8 years. But after dumping the doctors and their toxic drugs, my vision has improved drastically. Enough so that I could drive hours away when I escaped a covert narcissist of 26 years.
It's been 5 years since I had a check up to check my vision, but I know it's getting better and better.
So is everything else they destroyed, except my teeth.
Thankfully, they didn't destroy my mind, because then I would have been at their mercy and would be dead now. I dumped them and their toxic drugs in 2015 and will one day heal from all the damage they did to disable me.
Is there such a thing as glutathione eye drops?

Dr Berg I would be very grateful to hear what you think of taking just the oral supplement of L-Carnosine.
The eye drops have been pulled off the shelves because of a contamination warning from the acety-l-carnosine made in India. I noticed that the ones from the UK have also been pulled off.
It's very risky to use something that the FDA has tagged. The warning indicates possible infection, and in a few rare cases blindness.. not from the NAC but from the contamination.
I've notice that the oral L-Carnosine is good for a lot of the body (muscles, etc) but my eyes are my main concern.
Thanks.. hope you can make a video about the oral supplement L-Carnosine.

I was wondering about taking L-Carnosine myself. I decided to do a search on Amazon to see if I could find the drops with the N Acetyl Carnosine, but it looks like they have been one of the eyedrops that might have been contaminated and pulled from the site. So I did a search for just the N Acetyl Carnosine. I found it in a Bulk Supplements product and the reviews on it for helping with the eyes were persuasive enough for me to give it a try. You take it orally.

This level of complexity in the human eye as an instrument, plus the processing of the data that comes from that instrument that creates images in our electro-biological brain, and the association of emotions and rational thinking processes with those images, and the storing of this data and its accumulation that leads to new information in the form of new ideas and imagination, all combined to make the human experience what it is, is nothing short of a design by an intelligent being. Cannot come from randomness and nothingness.

I had to have surgery done to one eye otherwise I would not have been able to function... I am now researching how to fix the other eye without surgery and found this video. Thanks for this, will definitely give it a try! I have also been told that DMSO also works (I have only given it 1 week - so if it doesn't work I will try NAC next). I can tell you why you can only find products with N-acetyl-carnosine for pets and not humans bc I was literally about to buy them when Amazon pulled them off the shelves just a few weeks ago due to a threatening FDA letter Amazon received saying their homeopathic products which claimed to cure cataracts were not FDA approved. So Amazon pulled all of them. I know bc it happened shortly before I was just about to hit purchase and saw they were gone! I was livid as you can imagine at the time haha. Turns out tho that the ones for humans and the ones for pets contain preservatives.
I’m not sure if the preservatives are a necessary evil and if its risk are low enough to still benefit from the NAC without getting cancer. Is there a preservative-free n-acetyl-carnosine eye drop solution on the market? If so, where can I get it?

I've been on Rx eyedrops for many years. They've all had a little preservative added to them BECAUSE it is in liquid form in a small bottle. Otherwise these bottles could only be "single use" and wow, that would be expensive and a waste of a lot of plastic materials for routine use.
