If anyone else happens to come by this video and was also having trouble with choppy/glichy audio, try this. Instead of WDM for the audio duplicates, select the MME one. This removed all chopiness from the steamed PC audio, and also fixed an issue with UA-cam failing to render/play videos while Voicemeeter was active. My laptop that I'm streaming audio from to my PC is even on WiFi and works great! Just try changing the A1 sources until it comes through clear!
I'm not a streamer, but had similar needs. I didn't realize the stream names are part of the handshaking protocols. (I think their devs should add an info box on hover) With that self-imposed handicap, it took me a bit longer. Once I figured it out, I came back to your vid to complete the setup. I had your vid on both systems, toggling back and forth to make sure I hadn't handicapped myself again. My mic was down and I saw discord activate, while still hearing the video (toggling) on both systems. My first reaction was, "Wait, why is that working?" Excellent walkthrough, succinct and clear. I'll definately keep this one in my toolbox. Subbed. 😃
The sheer amount of non bullshit straight up to the deal type of stuff. You sir hit the nail. You made it so digestible and so uncomplicated. Thank you!
This was so easy. Should've done it long ago. I like using my laptop instead of a second monitor and this is perfect for watching videos on the laptop while gaming. Thanks!
i spent an hour trying to use youtube videos to set this thing up correctly & just when i was about to call it quits an watched ur video LAST VIDEO.. & u did it bro... streaming like crazy now to a 8 speaker setup
Outstanding! Thank you so much for your time sharing this!...I would also like to point out anyone not seeing the green box when you enter IP, I found 2 solutions you might try that workd together for me: 1- use the ip addresses assigned by your router instead of what voicemeeter showed mine were wonky for whatever reasons 2- create rules for windows firewall to allow access for incoming and outgoing, I created 4 for each pc 1tcp and 1 udp for incoming 1tcp and 1udp for outgoing. It automatially did on one pc and did not on another, windows is so inconsistent! Also only allow on private networks!! Hope it helps! Also this is what worked for me your mileage may vary
My goodness, if I had known this was possible and even so easy to setup... I had quite some static I could not solve with cabling etc... with my new pc setup I was almost looking to buy some hardware to solve it. But this solved all my issues in 10 minutes, amazing ! Thanks !
The only thing that made this more complicated than it need to be, for me at least was labeling the pcs. Gaming PC and Stream PC would be far more clear than PC1 and PC2. Maybe i missed when you spelled out which was which, but for me, being unclear on the 2 made this far more complicated.
Yeah sorry but I though it was obvious that the first was the gaming PC. Like it would hardly make sense to play on the inferior secondary PC but I got that comment a lot so yeah...
Protip: if you own an audio interface (e.g. Focusrite Scarlett, Presonus Audiobox, etc.) you may see the option to use ASIO as the default output driver. This is extremely useful if you want to monitor your own voice through VoiceMeeter as ASIO drivers can be run at really low buffer sizes. In general, any modern PC should ve able to get away with 192 - 256 samples at 48kHz which roughly translates to 10-12 milliseconds give or take a few extra for safety overhead. It should be noted, if you run your samplerate higher than 48kHz, you should double or quadruple your buffersize accordingly (48kHz at 256 samples, 96kHz at 512 samples, and so on), else you might get crakling audio.
I’m receiving crackling/robotic audio from pc #2. All voice meeter vban and main settings are set to the correct sample rate. Double checked all windows sound control panel’s sample rates too. Pc #1 is fine though
Amazing guide tysm! Now I can send all my audio where it needs to be and learn a new way to use Voicemetre Potate. Subscribed and liked because this was the first straight forward video I have found in many searches. Beep Boop
if not working, sound does not transfer to another pc. try fix it just by close both app and then open again, walla it working. Thank, no BS on your tutorial, really helpful.
If anyone has problems where the stream wont turn green for the receiving PC, make sure an output is selected under A1 or A2 on the main mixer page first.
Didn't test for delay but I guess there is minimal delay preset, so you probably don't want to listen to the streamed audio and watch the original at the same time

I was trying so hard to send the audio of my gaming pc to another little one thats manages my hires dac and I didnt want to conect my electrical noisy pc to the little one. This program is so cool. Not easy to understand 😉🤔 I send gaming sound via hdmi to streaming pc and now I want Alert sound back to gaming pc. Oh and I use when not streaming a Presonus Revelator IO24. Would that work? I will use the IO24 if streaming pc is of. You left important question: what if you use XLR mic? Delay or no sound delay?

So I'm slightly confused about something. I got this all working and everything but here's the thing. What if I use Discord on Gaming PC and I want my Gaming audio and Mic Audio for the stream sent to the stream PC? Like, I get the whole receiving sound from Stream PC to hear everything but how is my Audio setup so that my Stream PC receives my Main PC Audio and Mic for the stream?

Thank you for the video. Just a question, I just want my laptop to handle mic and discord, and I want that audio sent to my gaming PC. Is it the same thing on the first part of your video?
Hey I’m not sure if you can help me one step further by integrating a goxlr into the setup. I want to send audio from my microphone from PC 1 to PC 2, and hear audio from both PC 1 and PC 2 on the same headset. I've tried your guide and PC 2 keeps getting audio from the microphone and the audio from music/youtube etc sent back into the microphone.
So on my Streamlabs OBS, I am still not getting audio from my game. I can hear Discord from my gaming PC to my streaming PC but no sound from games like WoW for example. What am I missing?
not sure why when I'm trying to get my mic from my gaming pc to go to my streaming pc the streaming pc isn't saying that 1 stream is detected it still says none and I can't get it to connect that way though it does connect sending audio from the streaming pc to the gaming pc....so not sure what I'm gonna do with this :(

Great video. Is there a delay when you setting this up? I am trying to use my wireless headset for both computers. But I just want to make sure if there is no delay.
No this only works in a local lan. Otherwise you would likely need to open ports on your router and specify the public ip address of the remote machine. not sure if this even works, I could try it though!
