Jurassic World Alive recently added the "scientifically accurate" spinosaurus, which is really awesome. edit: There's also Ichthyovenator, Vectispinus, and Irritator in the game as well along with the hybrids which some look awesome.
@ProcyonDei We can basically just chalk it up as another species that doesn’t exist for us, but it exists in the franchise is lore. Like Becklespinax or Troodon.
With Jurassic 7 having photos of it’s filming location with river I can imagine them adding Spinosaurus as the big bad dinosaur and Pyroraptor since that is a good swimmer in the franchise
Interesting to add that different versions of Spino, Baryonyx & Suchomimus appeared in Warpath & The Lost World games for PS1 before their 'canon' introductions later in the Jurassic franchise. Have a good day & cheers for the quality videos. 👍
In some Dominion’s concept arts there was a different Baryonyx design looked incredibly accurate, since they actually tried to make Dominion’s dinos accurate. But the actually Bary design we got in the movie stayed the same for consistency reasons. Some people thought it’s Suchomimus, but nope it’s Barynoyx, it didn’t have the hump on its back.
For anyone wondering, Becklespinax / Altipsinax is a charcaradontosauridae not a spinosauridae. Meaning it was more related to Giganotosaurus than Spinosaurus. I do not blame you for thinking it was a spinosauridae, I dont know why they made it semi aquatic in chaos theory.
I heard someone say that the reason it sounds different in camp Cretaceous is because it’s older now, explaining that during jp3 it was not a adult and still growing
They also had some noteworthy designs in the games like the spinosaurus from Jurassic park Warpath, which I think was the very first appearance of the spinosaurus in the Jurassic franchise and it still has that retro design it had before it was known that it was related to animals like baryonyx and suchomimus
I'm not sure if you talked about this in your Many Interpretations video of the Spinosaurus. But one of the the First Designs of the Jurassic Park Spinosaur is from the Lost World Toyline called "Slice". It's pretty cool to see the difference between that and the JP3 design. Like a sort of Time capsule.
I *THINK* that the reason why spinosaurus didn’t have some of the more iconic parts of its sounds (cuz some parts remain from the original) is because the recordings(?) that they mixed in where in some kind of copyright trouble
You should check out Zoo Tycoon 1's version of Spinosaurus, It has a somewhat Allosaurus-like appearance with a sail and dark & light green skin, but it's roars are awesome! 😁
You are correct on the roar sound effects thing, but I don't believe they lost any sound files Evolution Spinosaurus has the roars, and we have sound effects of Spinosaurus on UA-cam without any music or talking, just the sounds and roars So I call BS on all that. Again, mainly cause of Evolution 1 and 2
Unless this was addressed in the video I want to bring it to your attention that in Jurassic World Alive they recently added a scientifically accurate Spinosaurus aegyptiacus as an Omega you can obtain via a raid on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and it's a beautiful looking thing
Dino guy, suchomimus was leaked by Mattel with toys for chaos theory, and a new chaos theory spino toy was made so it’s possible Mattel leaked its reappearance in chaos theory.
The people working on Camp Cretaceous could've also just used internet recordings of the spinosaurus roar. Just look up JP spinosaurus sound effects, and you'll get a ton of results.
The disappointment I had when I didn’t hear spinos iconic roar in CC. Only heard it somewhat once but that was it. I grew up with JP3 and it’s roars are just so much more unique to me.
Several dinosaur families, I feel need some or better representation in the franchise. The two that come at the top of my head are the Alvarezsaurs & the Sauropodomorphs! I know the Alvarezsaurs would basically just be feathered bug eating compies; but they still need some love! As for the Sauropodomorphs; WE HAVE MUSSAURUS IN THE NOVEL; MAKE IT FILM CANON! Another fun Dino family is the Deinocheiridae! I could just see a Deinocheirus bursting out of the water, and either attacking a nearby boat or chasing off a Spinosaur or nearby drinking Dino like some GIGANTIC goose!
Unfortunately, there isn’t enough fossil material of Altispinax to assign it to a specific family. And Chaos Theory seemed to take the route of a carcharodontosaurid in their design.
If I’m correct I’m pretty sure the Jurassic park baryonyx was different, though we never saw this variant, it had the frog DNA that Henry wu gave all the dinosaurs in the first two films and it looked a lot different than the Jurassic world one so I hope to see it in Jurassic park survival Whereas the Jurassic world Baryonyx was recreated by wu just like how the velociraptors were recreated (the recreated velociraptors no longer had frog DNA but monitor lizard DNA or at least blue did) but instead they used alligator DNA to fill the gaps in the baryonyx genome giving it the wide snout and osteoderms
My first encounter of Spinosaurus, was the playskool definitely dinosaurs Spinosaurus toy from the 80s and The ROURKE Dinosaur Library book Spinosaurus. My First encounter with Baryonyx, and the reason it is in my top three dinosaurs, was the original Jurassic Park toy series II line The Electronic Baryonyx. Suchomimus The Complete Big book of dinosaurs
I hope to see more spinosaurids in the franchise, Spinosaurus would have been my favorite dinosaur but I saw jp3 before dinosaur king's Daspletosaurus episode but spino is a close 2nd.
So wait I got a question is Becklespinax or Altispinax a Spinosaurid or is it a different species, I done some research and it said it is a Spinosaurid or a Carcharidontosaurid
@@iridiumSerpent if your referring to Jurassic world alive and Jurassic world the game No There not canon I'm referring to Cristatusaurus from camp cretaceous And Irritator from dominion
Was the becklespinax in camp Cretaceous not a spinosaurid? I have done any research on it but I assumes it would be because of the name and clear sail on its back
I love the website one and I think the CT one is Alr. Don’t like the colors and FYI the reason I commented, the Suchomimus has been reworked and it was not that weird flat shape but instead more like baryonyxs. Idk if you already knew that but I like to spread the word.
I do want to see all 3 family members of the spinosaurus family to be in the next Jurassic wolves movie. I know that everyone like me have been waiting to see. The spinosaurus dinosaur in a Jurassic World movie. But here's the truth, let's just say that, okay. Doctor Allen Grant, it just tells everyone that here's the truth. I saw the spinosaux in gyptoce, It's Jurassic park 3. Just imagine if he said that part. To everyone else
Interesting. I was a teen back when JP3 was released and back then scientist already said the spinosaurus wasn't realistic. Back then already told us that the spinosaurus would never win that fight.
Oh its portrayal certainly wasn’t. No idea why they portrayed a piscivorous animal that way. I’m mainly referring to its design. Which isn’t too far off.
It most likely wouldn't but I do think it would be a tough fight, considering the weaponry of spinosaurus such as the claws, but at the end of the day they are both animals living at different places and times, even if they did hypothetically met fights would be minimal since there niches
The Spinosaurus’s colors in Camp Cretaceous are explainable. When animals are made uncomfortable its colors will go dull. That explains why it looks like that.
Bit of a hot take but i don't like the website/jwe sucho design something about its textures and head shape rubs me the wrong way which is why i like chaos theorys model better (sound design jwe sucho is S tier though)
I think jurrasic park/world depicted spinosaurus very inaccurately even for its time. Its portrayed as a killing machine, when in reality it was just an animal thriving at the seas and living in harmony. That being said i would like to see dinosaur fights with spinosaurus from time to time, i dont like it being portrayed as a lumbering animal and people now usually underestimate its power. Spinosaurus vs carcharodontosaurus is however one of my favorite things to think about and i imagine who would win.
Cool @@prehistoricchannel128 but I sure do hope we get to see Asset 87/Spino The Spinosaurus, Chaos The Baryonyx and the Suchomimus in season 2 of Chaos Theory don't you?
