The noise the dodo makes in Phineas and Ferb kills me every time. I can’t imagine a dodo without that sound coming to mind.
A Little silly one: Goat Simulator MMO simulator has dodos you can find pretty commonly all over the field infront of Goatshire.
(And you can also make an abomination with them,a mutant dodo that has multiple legs and Heads)

Penguins of Madagascar has Dod, the Dodo thrill seeker.
I remember that episode it’s called “Endangerous Species.”
I guess people don't realize that dinosauria is an actual taxonomic clade. It means everything descended from the last common ancestor of megalosaurus and iguanodon. (the first 2 discovered)
So there is no way to be descended from dinosaurs without also being a dinosaur, since it is lineage of animals.

It's been a while since I've watched "Phineas and Ferb," but did that dodo ever become a secret agent? If not, then it would've been awesome to have an extinct animal as part of OWCA.
Beyond that and the "Ice Age" ones, I also enjoyed the dodo Polly from in "Pirates: Band of Misfits/In an Adventure With Scientists," since it acted as the captain's pet and a parrot substitute. There was also an episode of "American Dad" where the CIA cloned a dodo that led to a running gag of it getting into dangerous situations.
Jurassic Word The Game has two different versions of normal Dodo. There’s an old version of Dodo being used for live feeding. The playable Dodo herd was added last year after Jurassic World Alive, and it’s a Jurassic Herbivore unit for some reason.
There was also a dodo in the Aardman film Pirates on an adventure with scientists, the whole plot revolves around it in fact.

There is also the Dire Dodo from Kong: Skull Island anime & Dodos appeared in the Japanese game called Dinosaur Hunting.
Kula Ya Ku from Monster Hunter World is inspired by the Dodo.

I’ve seen that movie made by the creators of Wallace and Gromit.
There was a painting recently found of a captive dodo kept by someone that was painted by a painter that was known to paint birds as they were in nature so we do now know very accurately how it looks like, the dodos from the fossils and archaeology mod was based off it so yes they did have the blue on their beak.
Yes! It was also shown to more like that of the Zoo Tycoon's body type.
I heard the major issue with thinking they're always so Plump is because we overfed them to be fatty, hence the over robustness.

Funnily enough in ZT2: Extinct Animals, you can make super prehistoric animals - which are slightly bigger and live way longer than their normal counterparts - but Super Dodos remain the same size as it's normal counterpart. 😅

True because they are super greasy since they can’t fly they don’t need the muscles in the chest plus they take too long to cook like a roast chicken I heard it from a documentary show.

The Pirates stop-motion animation movie has a Dodo. Actually a pretty important part of the plot.

My favorite interpretations of Dodo birds are the ones from ice age they were really funny especially when they unintentionally kill themselves. Which is also the type of thing you see them do in some movies and shows.

Yay Zoo Tycoon 2 rep! I loved the dodos in that game, I always had to have them as an accent to any jungle enclosure with any animal it would get along with. They were so cute.

Kulu Ya Ku from Monster Hunter is inspired by Dodos but having mote therapod attributes especially with old depictions of Oviraptor
Much like the Woolly Mammoth, most depictions of the Dodo bird look the same & there’s not much artistic interpretation because we know what they looked like, we’ve got them stuffed in museums.
There are no stuffed dodos in museums, those models are based on artistic depictions of them. The only soft tissue of a dodo we ever found was a preserved head.

We dont actually have any stuffed dodos, they are just models and were made long after dodos were already extinct by people who would never have seen them, the Natural History Museum documentary mentioned in this video talks about it and has probably the most accurate design, somewhat ironically since that museum holds one of the innacurate models.

Dodos weren't that fat though. The fat ones are actually captive Birds. In the Wild, they've had Periods in which there was less Food available, but in Captivity they had plenty of Food throughout the whole Year, causing them to easily become overweight
That’s true plus they’re too greasy to be eaten by sailors the accounts said so in the extinct documentary show.
@@justinwilliam6534 as far as I know, they didn't taste good, but were still hunted as a easy Food Source. Additional Threat came from introduced Animals like Pigs and Rats which mainly targeted the Eggs and probably also ate much of the same Food
You kind of missed Dottie the Dodo from the Netflix film Extinct. She's from a team called "The Extinct Ables" On the team, there's her, Burnie the Thylacine, Allie the Macrauchenia, and Hoss the triceratops.

Here's a few Dodo interpretations that I know of & weren't in the video:
Sesame Street Presents: Follow that Bird (1985). In this film, Big Bird is sent to live with a family of Dodo Birds.
Play-Doh: Doh-Doh Island. An "In-Name" only interpretation because the toys bore little resemblance to the actual animal.
Safari Ltd. At one point this toy company produced a Dodo Bird figurine (which is now hard to find/purchase)
Pokémon Anime (EP211: Fly Me to the Moon). While not Dodo Birds, the episode featured a type of Pidgey that have become large/flightless due to Island Gigantism; similar to what happened to the ancestors of the Dodo Bird.
Kim Possible (S1E17: The Twin Factor). While not in the episode, the villain of the episode (Dr. Drakken) asks his assistant (Shego) who's under mind control to "get him a Dodo Bird". Drakken then proceeds to laugh & acknowledges that Dodo Birds are extinct.
Dodo Birds are also an adoptable animal in Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals (PC Game)
Mr. Dodo was also featured in the 2010 Film; Alice in Wonderland (Directed by Tim Burton)
Polly the Dodo Bird was in the 2015 Film; The Pirates! Band of Misfits (The pirate crew used her as a replacement for a typical pet parrot)

There's a Looney Tunes character called Gogo Dodo based on a Dodo that appears in the Tiny Toons cartoons. Suffice it to say that one is very unique.
I known is not a movie, series or game, but there is also a Dodo in the 4th Percy Jackson Book: battle of tur labyrinth, when Percy and his friends find Pan, the god of the wild, he is surrounded by some extinct animals, one of them being a dodo called “ dede”…. As someone who loves pjo and extinct animals, i wanted to point that out

I think I heard somewhere that people that did eat them after arriving on ships reported that they didn't taste very good, but kept hunting them anyway just because they were so easy to catch. Take it with a grain of salt though
@@WingedFish66same Reason why the Mauritius Giant Tortoise also went extinct. Those were especially useful for long Ship Travels because they didn't require much Food, so they could be kept alive and fresh for a long Time.
The Great Auk (wonder how much Media Representation we have of them) was also quite easy to hunt, I think. The last one that was ever seen was a single Individual, completely alone on a Island
