Fun fact : the "cheeks" you see on many depictions of dinosaurs are actually jaw muscles. So since the muscles on this t.rex are so thin, it would have a pretty weak bite force.
But it's a scientific fact that the t rex has the strongest bite force out of all the dinosaurs, unless you are talking about the t Rex from Jurassic park/world franchise then the indominus would get bite force
I am pretty sure that the size of the muscle membrane has nothing to do with the bite force and also Rexy and the other Jurassic rexes probably have a very strong bite force.
This figure just has a thinner cheek membrane design than in the movie. Movie actually has quite thick membrane. But the force of the bite does not even depend on the thickness of the membrane. Tbh. Also. The truth is a T. rex in Jurassic Franchise has equal bite force as real life one. But it has a tiny bit thinner teeth design and a knife-like shape. While in real life they have thick teeth and are shaped like a banana. That makes the T. rex's teeth in Jurassic Franchise has an unstable grip and is unable to exert effective bite force.
I second that. I was thinking the same thing. Really hoping they delve into later movies. Spino made with love and to scale with the Rex would be awesome. Also hoping for a Hammond stego because the paint job on the 2 pack they released isn’t doing it for me
A Hammond collection Spinosaurus would be great, and also the Indominous Rex aka Indy, Indoraptor aka Ripper, Ankylosaurus, Scorpius rex, Giganotosaurus, Atrociraptor, and even a therizinosaurus!
@@gamerboyz7938 I’m would be down for an Atrociraptor first and foremost. The ones they have given us so far leave a lot to be desired and it has 0 pose-ability, 1 standing position and literally no other options, although the legs move, it falls over in all positions but 1, and the head sculpt is so so. I feel like we have actually gotten some pretty decent Indy-Rexy sculpts that leave a lot of opportunity for repaints. And I feel like the Indoraptor articulated figure we got with Fallen kingdom was pretty damn close beside some minor head sculpt discrepancies and had a great paint effect. Besides that, yes to everything else, completely 2nd that motion
Rexy in JW trilogy didn't lost the stripes actually. But just not as noticeable as in her prime in first JP. If you watch the JW trilogy movie in 4K, you will see that she still has a stripes on her back. or even in a FK&Dominion render. Or CGI model of JW1-3 She has a tiny bit of stripes on her back. But there are smaller lines than in JP.
I think the reason why Rexy lost her stripes from the first movie is because Rexy was only 5 years old during the JP incident. In Jurassic World, she was fully mature with the age of 27. In 2016 (which was during the events of Camp Cretaceous Season 2), she was 28. In Fallen Kingdom, she is 30 and in Dominion she's 34 and currently 35 years old in 2023. So she had stripes when she was 5yrs old but then they disappeared when she reached adulthood.
I actually remember having the Hasbro Stomp & Strike t-rex a few years back when Jurassic World came out in 2015. If I remember correctly I think I had it clear up until sometime around 2018 and 2019 until the skin-like rubber was starting to peel off around the neck, and unfortunately that was it's ultimate downfall because a few months after the rubber had fully come off the head had broken off then neck. And the really creepy part about it, was the batteries in the body still worked, so every now and then I would hear it either, roar, or make the stomping sound, because to me I was really weird that it could still roar without the head attached. But to be fair I think it was a good trade off because a year later I had gotten Mattel version of the Stomp & Strike t-rex which I still have to this day. I'm saving up to get the Hammond collection t-rex which I think will be a major upgrade.
For the past 5 years, we have some excellent T Rex figures from Mattel Jurassic World toyline. Thrash N Throw, Extreme Damage, Super Colossal, Thrash N Devour and so on and so on. While those are great and amazing figures, none has come close to this masterpiece of a T Rex figure and one of the best Jurassic World figures that Mattel has ever made. I just bought this beast of a figure at my store and my first impression when I got this hand is "WOW WHAT A MASTERPIECE THIS IS". The paint and sculpting of this figure is just *muah* chef's kiss good. It's beautiful and so gorgeous that I'm feeling like I'm holding a Stan Winstom Maquette model. It's that good. The articulation is incredible, the plastic is solid, and I do love the rubberize parts for this Rex. It really takes me back to the Old Kenner toyline but sadly I wasn't born that time and I was born 1998. But you know what it doesnt matter to me because I love this thing so much. The only, only thing I don't like is the pupil for the eye. That's it. Otherthan that, this figure is absouletly amazing. I never thought that in 2022, we get an fully posable and well sculpted and painted T Rex figure from Jurassic Park. And I'm happy to say, this is a must have for any Jurassic fan. If it wasn't too expensive but it's worth the money. This figure is so good that I really wanted to stop collecting the Jurassic toys for how good this figure is. Because it will be hard for Mattel to dethroned this figure. As for this Masterpiece of a Trex Figure, all I sing is "I Love You Baby and if It's Quite Alright, I love you baby to warm these lonely nights, I love you baby, trust me when I say". Sorry about that guys.
Nice Review of the Hammond Collection Tyrannosaurus from Mattel and it looks alright in my opinion. At least I got the Hammond Collection Triceratops on my birthday along with the Roar Strikers Sinoceratops from Mattel which is only good Jurassic World Dominion figure in my opinion because I was not a huge fan of the other dinosaur figures from Dominion’s line. Awesome work Spinozilla and it’s great to have you back for good.
I’m really on the fence on buying this one. It is arguably the best looking and I absolutely love the eyes, but like you said I think the iris detail is a little too deep because it does look odd from extreme angles. But I wish the paint was still applied with a little more care, for the price. Luckily they’re so readily available in store so I can debate with myself over buying it often. I may get it and just enhance some of the sculpt detail with some wet washes
@@KaineTheHedgehog yea.. they only look good when you look at them directly from the side. And look like an empty eye when you look from the front. It’s super unfortunate
Wow 0:07 seeing that Bull T rex at the beginning reminded me of many childhood memories spent with my friends. I remember my Mother buying it for me at Toys R Us. Awesome times.
I’d say this is an overall good figure and I’m quite glad I have it (for the price that is, the beasts of the BOTM T. rex is superior), though even by Hammond collection standards I think I prefer the cerato however, but overall the rex is still really nice
This looks to be the most screen accurate T-Rex since the brown papo T-Rex (even though that's technically not a Jurassic Park figure. It just uses the likeness). Hoping I can get this figure soon.
Here is the bright side of the eyes tho, whenever we want to imagine this version of Rexy dies, it appears lifeless. Which makes it appear more accurate. Like for example, what if blue never distracted the Indominus Rex for quite a bit? Now that would make it kind of more realistic. Or what if it was possessed? Idk anything could me a downside yet it can give you ways for a bright side! Now that’s what I call, a good toy for making it how you like!
Im kinda mad now. I have mattel t-rex nd it just doesn't have WRISTS. Which may not seem important but it is in my book. Why it's so important, is because i like making scenes! So when he does a rawr i'm going to need his hand's to be posed. (In my opinon) Also i love this figure!

This should have been bigger to be considered (the perfect) T-Rex. These scaled next to 6-7 inch figures makes it feel like they missed a really big part of scale and proportion on this. I mean look at McFarlane avatar line and the flying alien rider figures. That this is huge!!!!
