I loved this conversation! As a woman who did a 180 on my views on how legitimate trans people are, I'm so thankful for these podcasts. Trans women are men and need to be seen as such by all of us again! Get them out of locker rooms! I can't imagine reaching 30 and still thinking it wasn't a "big deal" or was the "nice thing to do" to let them in our spaces... I'm really glad it's not just me ❤

👋 I’m one of those 50 year old parents who is only listening to this because my daughter was swept away with this ideology, and is now NC because we would accept but not affirm. It’s such a dark rabbit hole to try to navigate your way through, and not one I ever would’ve voluntarily explored, but it’s utterly devastated my family.

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. Have you heard about my course, ROGD Repair?

    • @TheQueenOfDreams
      @TheQueenOfDreams Місяць тому

@@sometherapist yes, but it isn’t our daughter that’s ROGD, it’s her (now ex) boyfriend who began identifying as a trans woman three years into their relationship, and she isn’t a child, she’s 32 now. I have been looking at your material and websites all morning, and I suggested your ROGD Repair course to the ROGD support group I’m in, but we are the only family there whose child is indirectly affected, and also the only one who went NC for not affirming. 🫤 I’m also in a support group for estranged parents, but we are the only ones estranged due to gender ideology. I really wish I could find a therapist like you, as I have suffered so much loss in the last few years, and it’s totally gutted me. I’m learning how to grow mushrooms for my own medicine, but I’m not there yet. I have a wonderful husband, but we have ZERO support from any of our friends or family, and our other two children have distanced themselves to varying degrees because of our estrangement from our oldest, and they have swallowed the ally koolaid as well. I’m also going through menopause, and barely holding onto my will to live most days. I understand you have had to change your practice to protect your own health. Do you make recommendations or referrals?

In terms of dating, not many people will jump at the chance to be in a relationship with someone with mental health issues. I get it. Everyone wants to date a healthy person. My best friend had a severe eating disorder, and she struggled to find love. When guys found out about her issues, they immediately lost interest. I think people are just looking for a partner who doesn't have a lot of baggage - a trans person is wearing their disordered thinking outwardly - even if you really veer away from the genital preferences - people are going to fly away at that point.

The more antisocial a human being is, the more they will behave in ways that keep them isolated from more healthy humans. That doesn’t mean that total and complete sociopaths always or even usually end up alone. It just means they end up with people very antisocial, like themselves.

A lot of men are into effeminate men with breasts and a penis. Not the old, raddled cross-dressers, who just do it to have a wank, and to intimidate women in female only spaces, but the young, gay ones...cocks in frocks.
Then there's the AGPs, the transvestites, and the chances, who can and do take advantage of the opportunities to violate women's spaces and women's boundaries.

I’d argue, narcissism isn’t a disorder that develops but an innate personality trait eg: INTP, ENTP, INTJ, ENTJ. Narcissists don’t change. When challenged, they will always revert to type. Tribalism is a huge aspect of what’s happening. Your point on AA and born again Christianity is spot on: a substitute tribe is the only way out.

Great interview!! I follow MaryCate on X. I didn't know AGP was a thing until two years ago. I knew someone in the 90's who wore his hair very long and drove a truck. On his days off he dressed as a woman in Sears style clothes with flat shoes. Very modest. Nothing like the transvestites i saw in Toronto. I had a female friend who married another female and eventually transitioned to appear as a man. I never had any issues with any of this. I hung around LGB people and events. I was a tomboy as a kid but was so excited to hit puberty. I loved wearing makeup and primping and dressing up and I also wear men's style clothes and no makeup. I am an artist and an eccentric. I had no clue of this slow gender creep until Peterson's issue in I think 2016 with refusing to be compelled to use pronouns and I was totally on his side then. I thought them/they was the most ridiculous thing I had heard. I wouldn't care about it if it hadn't captured our institutions and language and been commercialized. It's the sex based spaces being compromised , fetishes and harming children that has me so incensed. Otherwise I could give a rats ass how someone wants to live their life. I told a friend who knows young people declaring how they want to be identified and I told her to tell them, and I am a Libra...LOL thanks MC for that one.

i don’t think it’s a maternal instinct thing. plenty of women have their own children but still end up babying their husbands bc that’s what the husbands demand of them - all their undivided attention. and a lot of women feel they have to do this to keep their partner around, or he’ll leave them. it’s men being narcissistic and taking advantage of women, and men are more narcissistic with big egos on average. that’s why they get enraged when a woman rejects them. the announcing their transition during the woman’s pregnancy thing is a form of abuse. a lot of abusers trap their wives through pregnancy or marriage when it becomes harder for the woman to walk away from the relationship, and then emotionally, financially or even physically abuse them. just read some of the trans widows’ stories. the narcissism can lead to abusive behavior

    Ummm…
    Where do I start?
I’d like to chime in as an autogynephilic male.
Autogynephilia is deeper than a kink or a fetish. And yes I’m not going to deny that it correlates highly with narcissism. But just because someone is autogynephilic doesn’t mean that they’re perverts or taking advantage of a system.
No one chooses to be homosexual or autogynephilic.
As long as they’re not coercively gaining access to cis women’s spaces, leave them alone. Being autogynephilic doesn’t make one a bad person. It’s an extra layer of difficulty that they/we have to navigate life with.
Please don’t assume that we’re all bad perverts, and that we’re actively objectifying women.
The problem with any group of people is that the ones with the loudest voices are usually the most narcissistic and manipulative. They are a vocal minority that doesn’t represent the group as a whole.
You saying perverts and fetishist doesn’t help. It simply insults the less vocal more rational whole.
If straights and gays were more accepting of autogynephilics than they’d be less likely to be radicalized by narcissists who are currently trying to run the narrative.

It's no surprise that there are more ex-vegans than vegans as they have to face the truth eventually, usually when their health breaks down badly after so long with malnutrition.

Autogynephilia is technically a paraphilic sexual orientation and not a fetish. This is important because a fetish implies arousal to an object or something acquired later in life. Autogynephilia (like gynephilia or androphilia) is laid down in fetal development due to in utero hormones. Autogynephilia usually accompanies being on the autistic spectrum (also laid down in fetal development due to in utero hormones). The male brain was flooded with so much testosterone while a fetus that the erotic target (which is usually fully understood by adolescence) has become inverted.

That's not an excuse for abhorrent behavior. These are men. They need to stay out of women's spaces.
Be AGP all you want but leave women alone.

There is absolutely no way to know what you have said above. I have studied an MSc in neuropsychology and am currently embarking upon my Doctorate. It is not the same as being homosexual (so an orientation that might be innate or laid in utero) and you're actually lumping AGP in with PDF-philia if you want to stand by the stance you have. This is extremely worrying

Most people that I’ve come across on Reddit are genuinely experiencing gender dysphoria, so I find it disingenuous that you would think this has anything to do with fetishes. What specific subreddits are you referring to that are full of “guys” with fetishes?

Watch her series "Listen to Trans People." She's on episode 40 now.

I don't really use reddit... But as a trans woman myself... I know a few other trans people... And while I do know that there are definitely people out there who have AGP... Or are just fetishists... But I personally don't know any of them myself... Some of the things they are saying here have kernels or truth... They are very much twisting that truth to fit their narrative... Unfortunately there isn't enough space in a comment to dispute all of the things they got wrong... Even though I am trans myself... I am no expert on trans issues.. but I would love to have a conversation with these women and maybe show them a different vein on the topic... And share some real facts and real life experiences...

Autogynophilia isn’t necessarily a “fetish,” it’s just a form of heterosexuality. There’s nothing wrong or strange or shameful with AGP. I don’t think anyone on this channel is saying that people with AGP are creeps; just that it’s disingenuous when they mask their AGP as a trans identity as a way to avoid societal stigma. Many people with AGP are not self aware enough to realize what’s going on in their minds and revert to the concepts that come closest or they lie to their health providers by using certain catch phrases in order to be prescribed hormones and surgery. I’ve come across a handful of AGP detransitioners who are very forthcoming with what they had been going through (and I have hardly looked into the subject). Unfortunately, there is such a stigma with AGP that trans supporters don’t want to acknowledge it amongst their ranks and many AGP don’t want to out themselves.
