I don't know why but there's just something about driving at nighttime. All alone on the highway, listening to an audiobook or some good music. I was driving a set route every night, though, but it felt nice to just sit and drive for almost 3 hours there, set cruise control at 83km/h, meet up with the other driver, switch container and trailer with him, take a 30 min break (I used to take my 15 min break before loading at the terminal in the evening) and drive back. There was one time I only saw 4 cars during that entire 215km on my way there. and 3 cars on my way back. So peaceful. I don't drink coffee so I had a thermos with hot chocolate, a bottle of Coca Cola in the fridge below the bunk, and a couple of sandwiches along with some protein pudding or rice porrige with jam.
Right now me and my dad are looking for a purple peterbilt but I agree with u it is peaceful being a truck driver and if u have a stretched and custom truck it feels good at night idk why but it feels like ur Cruising with a fleet of trucks
This Pete is such a gem... What a beautiful truck. Here in Germany this is so unimaginable. I love the sight of these retro looking, drop-dead gorgeous looking trucks. Marvellous!
Watching you drive & handle the flatbed reminds me of my father. I grew up in the passenger seat of my dad’s trucks, he left us to be in his forever home in Heaven last year in January. Watching your videos sir reminds me of when. Beautiful rig and great wheel work. God bless!
Bro.. You are living my dream out there. I love the Scat Pack charger. I had a white 2020 widebody challenger with red/black interior and had to sell it from being out of work for the lockdowns. It broke my heart, but I WILL be back in another one day, somehow. On top of that, you have an absolutely immaculate Pete and I wouldnt know what to do with myself if I got to drive something like that every day and get paid for it. My dad always drove trucks when I was growing up, so I have a big soft spot for them. My folks always discouraged me from that line of work for whatever reasons, however, the older I get the quicker Im figuring out life is too short to not live the way that makes you happy, so hopefully I'll get it all figured out. Be safe out there man and stay the course!
Damn I’m doing it all wrong why ain’t I riding around in something like that hell I’ve been driving 20 years been at the same job for 14 years. This is definitely goals

The commentary is great. Driving is good too, camera angle is cool. I always told my father in law (also drives for a living) I’d have the sweetest sound system in my truck….if I had one; which I don’t. 😂
I just found your channel a week ago. Like it. A couple things I noticed---you get out and look!!!...and you don't run or trot, just a serious walk. You'll remember what you saw better when you get back in the truck...... dunno why, ya just do! Second, I enjoy watching you play catch-up when backing around a corner. Some folks don't understand a trailer will catch up differently when backing depending on where the weight is, and the only way to find out sometimes is to give it a shot and see what happens. You back up good, and needing to pull ahead a time or two ain't no disgrace. Thanks for your vids!
Nice ride! I drive older 379s at work, I wish I could get a brand new '06 model with a CAT15 and 13 speed. I slid my 5th wheel yesterday loaded (dry bulk tank) and forgot to dump the bags. It worked OK but I had to work with it a little to get the pins to retract.

idk y but almost every night when i was heading to work id always see cool stretched or lowered rig covered n lights. one of the reason i love working and being awake at night is seeing all the chicken lights and sounds of the semis
“What I’m gonna need to have you do is back into that mud hole and then turn around and back into it again….” I laughed entirely to hard at that…. So unexpected!!!
Aside from playing more hours than I would ever admit to of American Truck Simulator, I have never driven a big truck, probably never will, however I cant explain why I enjoy your videos so much... Your not annoying or obnoxious just a chill dude and you do a really good job at making these video's, keep em coming I just subscribed :)
I just got my cdl and I passed my skills test with ally dock... the way u backed in had me rethinking my test. Can't wait to be as skilled as you are bro
You'll get there one day, and not even think about it. It's difficult just changing gears when you first start driving, but before you know it, you're cruising. Just another day at work.
Man what a nice truck and in this video you making the job look so easy just told my wife I want my CDL so freaking bad been wanting them every since my dad took me over the road with him I could see me driving trucks as we where on our way to Seattle and back to Oklahoma and as a security guard now with kids isn't a job I need something better but I have a 8 year old that hates when I have to go to work now for 8 hours so I can imagine how it will be if I do over the road wish I would had done it sooner then at least I could of been a local driver but I will figure it out

Always split your 18 speed in neutral never in gear, it keeps your transmission together ❤️. I love your your new camera angle.
Would love a better cam view maybe two 360 degree cam to each side upper rear of the cab and two on the extreme rear that would be great.
Why is that tho, if in gear and you split you just ease up on the gas and it switches, are the transmission not designed to do exactly that?
Just found your channel AND you’re from my neck of the woods! That’s winning! Killer rig man!
