Back in the days of farming we had a fairly new 1984 Mack R 686/350 9 speed day cab and a 34' EAST dumper with double side boards. Probably one of the shortest 18 wheel rigs you can do... But it would haul 110k gross corn out of the field... opps, I meant 80k... LOL!!! This stuff you're pulling is insane!!!

Just came back on the last hour of the video. Great views. Just googled the distance, which was 2,500 miles one way. I do that on a two week holiday whether at an area of Europe, or the UK🤣. Stay safe Doug, and keep the videos coming in
Great video so far Doug. As you explained about the road narrowing, and what we in the UK call the camber (the curvature), I can totally understand it. I have noticed that the load seems a touch "bouncy" (may be the camera that makes it look as if it moves), so obviously have to drive carefully. Some lovely pieces of real estate🤣. Must be very frustrating having to slow right down to get under the power lines though
@HightowerLSSD.....remember, Doug (and all overdimensional/weight heavy haul drivers) must follow the routing prescribed in the various jurisdictional permits. And invariably, these permits are in fact routed through the back-roads, because the Intrastate infrastructure all across the USA is in such dire need to be upgraded.
Hallo Doug you are a great driver I am a Trucker from Germany. You made very good Video. I love it see you on the next Video Greetings from Sterbfritz my hometown

Bridge height and width might be something that should be revisited in North America. The size of machinery and structural parts has been going up, and contractors would most definitely increase the size further if they could. Fewer but larger parts makes for quicker assembly and reduces the amount of work that has to be done up high, or over water bodies. Its also easier to control quality in a factory than on a construction site. Newer bridges should be built with that in mind.
Hi Doug, well you have done it again excellent video. You seem to go a lot of back road's were there is more danger i think like low cables, trees both sides, tight corners, double parking,. I would have thought motorways would be quicker. End of the day Doug it's what you know is best not me you live there I don't. Keep on trucking. Mike from UK 🇬🇧
Thanks for taking the time and effort to add the sub titles to these later videos. It makes them more enjoyable. Always impressed with the in Canada who yield to you. Do you ever deliver to PNW? Thanks for the videos!
Usually the older bridges and over passes are too low for the load, but then there are other weird restrictions from state to state. It's a total crapshoot.
Enjoying the videos. Just a thought, but you'd think there would be some sort of light weight gadget that you could attach to whatever is being transported to help with low hanging cables. I'm thinking two radiused bars that form an smooth, arched bridge that would guide low hanging cables up and over the cargo. I can feel a patent coming on 😂
Really enjoy your videos, but for viewers at the other end of the world could you please give us some idea of the miles and time it takes to deliver some of the loads. Cheers take care drive safe John
Your backup skills are on another level! WOW... Talk about impressive! I am betting the reason for 3 pilots on a 2 lane road has to be laughable. About as hilarious as not being able to be on the freeway with school buses!

The worst part is driving in Quebec. I have a regular delivery at the Maxi in St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, just through the first lights where you turned left, and I hate the roads. There are no good driving roads in Quebec. The 30 used to be good bit even that garbage now
Lol, I pulled down a temporary power line to a new prison in my treespade. Blacked out the prison for two hours. I'm sure they had generators but they were not happy.
Thanks for the memories through P.Q. The heavy haul would have been easier with critical position cameras in the 70's and 80's for us back then. And the up to date Navaides

Love your videos - really impressive. You are extremely skilled and seem to have an outstanding amount of patience and professionalism. I’m super curious tho - I can’t figure out what the alphanumeric values are that you have listed in the video descriptions. What are they?
@ThrottleScotty...just in case Doug doesn't get around to responding: These codes at the start of his vlogs are the licenses for the background music.. The codes prove, that @luckybananaheavyhaul3407 hasn't breached the copyright laws.
My compliments, Doug, for another outstanding heavy-haul run and its accompanying vlog, Question: Is your truck governed 100% of the time at 105 km/h, or is Bellemare programming the governing of its over-the-road fleet based on "longitude/latitude" coordinates of the road-boarders into Ontario and Quebec, as is legally permitted to be done, provided the programming is accessible to authorized carrier staff only. Btw.....that TNT crane which was used unload you....we moved an identical (used) one, but with a boom-dolly, from Texas to Edmonton in November 2020. Depending on the assigned driver's experience, I mentor them virtually for the entire route, especially as it relates to permits and their conditions and routing. Your "family-time and R&R"-permitting, I'm looking forward to another extended ride-along with you.
No Bellemare trucks are 100% locked at 105 and they actually encourage us to drive even slower. Bellemare chooses safety and fuel economy over fast delivery. Side note we may not share the same opinion 😈 even tho I am paid by the hour and therefore have no excuse to drive faster I still hate getting passed by the Americans all day 😮💨

Good job Doug! Very impressed of your talent. Was thinking...all those light poles, if you hit them they light up just like a pinball game machine.
How did you know that?
The worst part is driving in Quebec. I have a regular delivery at the Maxi in St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, just through the first lights where you turned left, and I hate the roads. There are no good driving roads in Quebec. The 30 used to be good bit even that garbage now
Lol, I pulled down a temporary power line to a new prison in my treespade. Blacked out the prison for two hours. I'm sure they had generators but they were not happy.
Haha the thought you were planning something!
Another great video
Thanks for the memories through P.Q. The heavy haul would have been easier with critical position cameras in the 70's and 80's for us back then. And the up to date Navaides
GPS has changed the trucking world for sure! But sadly so many people now rely on technology that they can’t navigate themselves. Like the escort in this video 😞
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 I 10 - 4, but you did attempt to educate. I did that too , but to plant a seed is sometimes all you can do too.
Good video sir.
You are good at what you do. So where in Kansas did you pick up the crane? I love these long videos. Be safe out there in your travels. 💙
I also wonder about the logistics of setting these runs up. Must be a massive job! 😮
Oh yes. There is a whole team in the office behind the scenes who don’t get enough credit!
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 Maybe do a short video of them hard at work? That'd be neat.
Hello from Alberta.
Love your videos - really impressive. You are extremely skilled and seem to have an outstanding amount of patience and professionalism. I’m super curious tho - I can’t figure out what the alphanumeric values are that you have listed in the video descriptions. What are they?
@ThrottleScotty...just in case Doug doesn't get around to responding:
These codes at the start of his vlogs are the licenses for the background music.. The codes prove, that @luckybananaheavyhaul3407 hasn't breached the copyright laws.
@@andrep8287 thanks for responding - I was super curious about that. Never seen that before!
Exactly!
Side note we may not share the same opinion 😈 even tho I am paid by the hour and therefore have no excuse to drive faster I still hate getting passed by the Americans all day 😮💨
Found this channel a week or so ago . Very interesting how you can switch back and forth from French to English . Just one question Doug . What is the average height of bridges on the interstate system ? Just seems so long taking what would be referred as the backroads .
Welcome to the channel!
In the northeast, bridges are typically only about 15 feet high. In western regions they are much higher.
