I am horrible at Math, my teacher for my Math FNMT 098 class introduced our class to your videos, so my first semester in college I watched your videos, I'm now taking FNMT 118 early summer semester and Math 161 late summer semester and I am watching your videos and they are allowing me to under the concepts much clearer. Thank you!
Whoa!! Glad that the good math Gods added this to my video feeds. Holy smokes! Thank you!! Working with adult learners on getting their GEDs and your explanation and simple instructions are helping my students understand the concepts. This is awesome!!
Once again I am giving a big SHOUT OUT THANK YOU Mr. Witt!!!!! I think it is great that you take the time to post these math tutorials. Honestly, your tutorials have been a God send to me. You explain everything on an understandable level and you have helped me sooo much! I will come home from class and go straight to FBT as I know you are going to explain it to where I will get it. This is my second semester of math in college, 25 years since I sat in a classroom. I always struggled in math and feared it would be the downfall to my returning to college. Since finding your tutorials I am now a A+ math student!!!!! I owe it more to you than my instructor and I truly mean that!!!
I want you to know Dr. Whitt I used your videos to pass my Ca CSET Math test and am now using it as a supplemental aid to teach my 6-7th RSP students grade level math. You ROCK!
Mr. Witt, I want to thank you very much for all your videos and all the time you put in to adding these to UA-cam. It has been 20 years since I took a math class(and 15 before that for high school) and the counselor decided I needed college algebra. He was so wrong! I had to take myself out and go back to intermediate algebra, all that was left was a modular class. They didn't even have a modular classes 20 years ago. Needless to say if it were not for your videos and the excellent way you explain things, I would have had to withdraw by now. But, because of your videos, I have an A. Again, I thank you very much.
Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I used to have low grades in math but when I found your channel, I learned a lot and I passed my exams! I got my report card today and I got 91 in math!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCCHHHH SIRRR. I also shared your videos to my classmates who always fail in their exams and now they passed too! They are very grateful to you! THANKYOU SO MUCH GOD BLESS :)
Mr. Witt, you make it so easy and understanding, my professor she makes it a challenge to understand, especially with her RUSSIAN accent : ( I cant understand what she is saying omg, not being mean, i just cant get through her accent when she explains, she mean well to us as students, however, I am lost with her lessons. thank you again. now i understand graphing. thank you again Mr. Witt
Thank you for explaining this so precisely and helping me to understand it even more. I am on this topic in the unit at the moment and the book doesn't explain it in-depth as you.
Mr. Whitt, Lloyd Haynes (actor) who played a teacher on a favorite series of mine(Room 222) was from Fort Bend(played an excellent teacher) unfortunately passed away young in my city of San Diego.
I have done pretty well with my college algebra so far, but graphing has always been a weak point for me. You have explained it to the point where it is sinking in and I thank you for that.
Where were you Mr. Whitt in my Spring semester in Finite math .. I end up dropping the class:((((((( But I am taking it this summer. Now I am watching all your videos:)))
when i say i just failed my test i left that class with tears in my eyes its a self paced class and im practically teaching myself smh how dumb to allow people to teach themselves when there is clearly a problem? but any hoo i failed solely because these types of problems confused me. but now im getting ready to run home and do some. Ill be ready for that test tuesday. thank you for doing these tutorials for adults like me to reference. I just want my degree dang it!
It depends on the problem. Most average rate of change questions have boundaries. So it depends on whether or not they use boundaries and if so, what are those boundaries. In your example, the average rate of change could only be between a zig or a zag or infinitely depending on the problem.
Amazing video! Mr. Whitt is an excellent teacher. He is very detailed in his instruction. I really like the way he breaks the information down and explains the terminology. I only have one request...could you please slow down your pace in speaking just a bit. Sometimes it sounds as if you're speaking a bit fast. Otherwise, excellent and extremely helpful. Keep up the great work!
+Eric chhun When a linear equation is written in slope-intercept form (y = mx + b), the value of b is the constant. If y = 2x + 13, then the b-value (y-intercept) is 13.
THANK YOU. Just a thought, do you remember school-house rock? What about getting Q Base to do some raps about some of these subjects. Like little catchy beats and rhymes that stick in the head and can remind stuff during exams. Like the LOG rules.
I do igsce(British system) and your videos always help me so much thanks for that. Please can you do a video about solving simultaneous equations graphically? It would really mean so much to me and thanks
I love the simplicity of your explanations, thank you!
Tammie Hernandez You're welcome! Thanks 4 your feedback!
appreciate the help

thank you !!(:

Hi Mr. Whit, I was just wondering, how do you find the average rate of change in a zigzag line? The usual formula doesn't work for it... :/
It depends on the problem. Most average rate of change questions have
boundaries. So it depends on whether or not they use boundaries and if
so, what are those boundaries. In your example, the average rate of
change could only be between a zig or a zag or infinitely depending on the
problem.
I feel like I hit the jackpot but with math !!!!!
+Wild Wiley Productions You definitely hit the jackpot! Lol Don't forget to "cash out"! :-)

I will Thank You!!!
how to download the app for android
my android is samsung tab 2
+ron ngo What app? Fort Bend Tutoring doesn't currently have an app.
hey do you tutorial that could help me derive an equation from a line that is graph in a positive direction.
Sure, check this video out and others in its playlist. ua-cam.com/video/ZV3SGp2SJuU/v-deo.html

Nice
Glad it helped!
Fort Bend Tutoring yup. Im the guy from other multiplying of polynomials
I know. Good luck!
Thanks
where did you get b = 2 from?
+Eric chhun When a linear equation is written in slope-intercept form (y = mx + b), the value of b is the constant. If y = 2x + 13, then the b-value (y-intercept) is 13.
Thanks Mr.Whitt! I have another graphing the line problem but it only gave me "x=5" How do i even begin to start that?
and also, another problem says "y=-2"
Check out problem numbers 3 and 4 from our video "Graphing Linear Equations: XY - Chart". Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/vzIv62JZqK4/v-deo.html
Thank you so much!
Hi two questions
First, is are the y-intercept form and standard form the same thing?
Second, what is the app called that you use to write
No, they are two separate forms. We use an older version of Penultimate by Evernote.
+Fort Bend Tutoring thank you so much
Is there any way to do it without having a fraction??
It depends. Most of the time, the fraction is due to the slope. If the slope is a fraction, you'll have a fraction in the equation.
When the problem say to write equation for each line. Express it in slope intercept form what does that mean
+Eric chhun ua-cam.com/video/ZV3SGp2SJuU/v-deo.html
Can you help me plz, i have final
+Pedro Rosario Sure! Setup a paid online tutorial at www.TutorMeMath.net.
THANK YOU. Just a thought, do you remember school-house rock? What about getting Q Base to do some raps about some of these subjects. Like little catchy beats and rhymes that stick in the head and can remind stuff during exams. Like the LOG rules.
Cory Sarzotti Thanks 4 the suggestion Cory! We'll see if we can get in touch with QBeats about this.
i cant wait to Ace my math tests
Me 2! Good luck Kerry!
Why are we starting with Y intercept instead of the X. I thought we always start with X, when plotting the graph.
+Jammin Dave You start with the x-value when plotting a point. Otherwise, other methods are used.
thanks for this i was having a hard time doing math for a while withoutthis my exams will get a F-
If you would have went up 4 be more places on the Y Axis and then went to the left you would end up with a horizontal line
I do igsce(British system) and your videos always help me so much thanks for that. Please can you do a video about solving simultaneous equations graphically? It would really mean so much to me and thanks
Sure Mahli! Here it is - Systems of Linear Equations: The Graphing Method (Is my teacher setting me up?) [fbt] ua-cam.com/video/b_GDh5g62ew/v-deo.html

You don't end up with the same line guy
I was so wrong
I am glad you understand and courageous enough to admit when you’re wrong in public. Very admirable Jacob! 👨🏾🏫😀
No Poppin, just graphin
You got it Walter! 👨🏾🏫😁
So easy to understand your explanations! Thank you.
