    Thank you so much you really helped me. Most teachers only show you one way to do a problem and it just was not clicking with me until I seen this. Thanks again. You teach very well.

    I LOVE to use the final method as I always use that method to compare the differences in the price per kg/liter/etc of stuffs that are sold in different sizes. Like 1.5kg of Sugar = $10 and 2kg of Sugar = $14 for example to get a bigger bang out of every buck lol.
    Anyways, take note that the 1.5kg is cheaper than the 2kg version (I calculated it). It's good to calculate things as you might come across brands that uses the popular "bigger volume = bigger value" concept against you to make an extra profit out of you whenever you go for the bigger volume as I have come across brands that uses this.

    For -1/2x - 7, you solve the first problem by multiplying by -2. But after you cancel out the 2s, what are you dividing to get positive x? Does -2 have a denominator of -1?

    • @FortBendTutoring
      @FortBendTutoring  6 років тому

      No, -2 can be written as -2/1 or 2/-1. I'm using the former so after canceling the -2's, I'm left with "x".

    Your videos are great I am learning so much, however, did you mean multiply both sides by a common denominator or by the denominator. BYW I'm older than the guy I his 40's and have returned to college. This is the best and you should have the online learning contract :) with this school.

    You did the first equation 4 ways but not all the equations why is that

    • @FortBendTutoring
      @FortBendTutoring  5 років тому

      I used the first equation to introduce all of the methods then applied those various methods to the remaining problems. Just what I thought was best at the time for people’s attention spans and the length of the video.
