Home gym trainer question, due to limited Resources a homegym often Has a cap on max weights to work with. Can you still grow muscle if you can’t work with the full 80% of your one rep max weights?
@@Rist001 I'm not an expert but I would think yes. Just add volume and isometric holds to your whole stack and slow deliberate control of your eccentric.
If I don't feel like going to the gym, I watch your videos. Your videos get me motivated and looking forward to my next workout. I really like how the videos are candid. Hi John, I don't know if you remember - I asked you about year ago if you can shoot some training video with Milos... And you did it! My excitement is of the roof! Who says that dreams don't come true? :) Btw, keep up the fantastic work!
I got to say John...what better way to really shock the muscles...teaming up w/different work partners every workout...and trying out new exercises has its advantages...Brother..Stay Blessed.
Im 48 going on 49 in 5 months and still till this day train hard like this in the gym since my early 20s, i can relate with john and milos, ( other guy still looks 30 somethingish) but i use to follow milos in his competition days and to still hit it hard and heavy ( not all the time but most) it takes lots of dedication, commitment, trial and error ( especially as you get older, and definitely learning what still works for your body as it is aging and always listening to your body and leaving your ego at the door, i have had to lighten up on certain exercises ( for low back purposes) but still go as heavy as possible on at least 85% of what i do, but commitment, plenty of food, rest here rest there,, nap here nap there to make up for lost sleep all plays a huge role when you are getting much older and still hitting it like in your 20s and 30s, age is just a number, take it from me, john and milos, if we can do it so can you, if you really love the weights and staying in caliber bodybuilding looking shape!!#
Ditto brother, Ditto! Almost exactly same age, still training with near same intensity as 20's subject to the arthritic shoulder and ruined L5 S1 discs! God bless training heavy! Love John, and training with Milos was one of my favourite bodybuilders ever. Inspirational video!
Best form ever john has, the other two not so much...very sloppy make my back hurt just watching those two but, great job a must try. Thanks John and friends.
John and Milos is probably the most terrifying combination of people to train with at the same time, you know damn well youre gonna have a phenomenal workout and hit whatever muscle group youre training with precision but youre gonna pay for it big time during and after the workout....id probably be twice the BBer I am if I trained with both of you every day. Both really great guys as well, ive been taking things John does and applying them in my own way for years now.
Man, I hope I'll be able to train this hard when I'm in my 50s too. I looked up Milos. He's 55. John is 47. I'm 33, been training for about 7 or 8 years.
man, i got sored just by watching! i would die if i tried to do the hole workout! but nevertheless i have to go to the gym now. in five years i wanna hit these workout! boom! Thanks for Motivation =)
Interesting. Me myself would not get so good results with so many sets. I have tested that. But I really like and are amazed that we can respond differently. Please talk about that and if you have had the same experience.
Now... if every bodybuilder would say that this is the way a muscle group specific workout looks, in order to explain that development... then it's OK. Many "posters" just show four movements (pull downs, rows, single arm db rows, etc.) as a way to their results. But that was three workouts in one.
I wonder if there are less young men getting in to weightlifting / bodybuilding these days….. back when I was in high school and college, there were lots of dudes that were jacked and always hitting the weights….I just don’t see young guys in good shape anymore. A lot of them look overweight and unhealthy.
Being a younger guy (16) I can see what you're saying. Personally, I'm trying to get into good shape, getting a little better every day. Still 240ibs and look like Thor in endgame though...
Frat bros, pretty boys, and counter culture guys draw away from that masculine care about your body mindset. Plus the sport specific guys that arent weight restricted like football players etc. Tend to air on being heavier but stronger.
I must have it all wrong, a "hard" back workout to me was always deadlift, then chin-ups, then T-bar rows, and finish off with single arm rows and seated reverse pec dec for rear delts !
@@mountaindog1 With all respect (and I know that you answered only of yourself), what I know/have seen it's almost impossible for almost anyone to be able to train the same muscle again (so that you can actually gain something of the new training) after 4 days, when the muscle has really been killed like in this video with Milos. Naturally person can go to gym and train the same muscle (back) even the very next day (being sore of course), but another thing is whether that is wise (might hurt yourself), whether the person can gain any profits from the training. Yeah mag grip. I have that one they used, the make a narrower one and a close grip. They feel great and really take the biceps out of the movement
How often could a workout with this level of intensity be done? Is weekly too much even?
Depending on their ability to recover, a couple times per week.
