- You have been asking for this for quite some time. This is the leg workout that has been on all of your minds. Yes we have the one and only Evan Centopani in the building. This leg workout is not for the faint of heart. As you can tell after just the first warmup set I was in pain. It might have been a 30 rep set but still. John Meadows is an American professional bodybuilder and entrepreneur with an intriguing story. While John now boasts a successful career as an IFBB Pro bodybuilder and fitness company owner, his journey towards the top was extremely difficult.
Growing up, John never met his father, and his mother died at an extremely young age. This meant John only had his grandmother to take care of him. When his grandmother tragically passed away in 1999, John was left alone without his family to support him.
As the years went by, John continued to face new adversities in his life. During his early days in bodybuilding, John suffered from a rare colon disease. After fighting the disease for several months, his colon burst - almost resulting in his death. Luckily, John was quickly rushed to an emergency room where his life was saved. After several months of recovery, John was finally back on his feet.
Coming back into bodybuilding, John used the very obstacles that almost cost him his life as ‘fuel’ to grow stronger. Ever since he recovered from the colon surgery, John has gone on to become a successful bodybuilder, entrepreneur, and inspiration for many people all over the world.

Hey John, its pronounced yearo. Not spelled the way its pronounced obviously, but yes, the Greek word is yearo but spelled gyro. lol
it just doesnt seem efficient to do both legs at a time on leg extension....than move to a unilateral compound move......the un-involved leg in bulgarians have more time to rest.....
Of course John and Evan are friends. Two of the most genuine guys in the business.

I Like that you guys incorporate an exercise that demands some balance like the bulgarian splitsquats, something you whant getting older is muscle, balance and coordenation👍
Buddy they bulid muscle as well ir isn't just for molbility. Those fry your legs more than tradional squats.

Move furniture for 25 years John like I did..when u have a 10k entertainment or a 12k headboard in your hands it's imperative not to drop set down or drag and most of it is ungodly in size and weight.million dollar contracts on the line.Your legs get big.quick.blue collar strong baby! I'm still working on my left leg..just dropping in for my daily motivation..I went from a wheelchair to walking w a cane AND lost 25 pounds of fat not muscle.your advice is helping.just letting you know. Just never had to hit the gym before..it all new to me. That's my testimonial.💪

You absolutely have to admire Evan's indomitable spirit to overcome obstacles. It appears as though he will soon be back better than ever! Heck, I would of been glad to hear he is just healthy and alive and doing well, but that's not enough for a champ like Evan, he doesn't want to go out on a bogus injury like that! I just started watching John because of Jeff Nippard. He and Jeff cavaliere athlean x have been my go tos, but I’m really glad John has such great content. These three guys are the best on UA-cam for practical and intense workouts with no bs. Keep up the great videos John. You’re a legend.

man this is crazy. I always was destroyed by including bulgarian split squats with 80lbs. These guys are doing 120lbs and doing a superset.....color me humble.....cannot believe anyone would question if this workout is enough.....

Evan is one of my favorite bodybuilders and unfortunately I too tore my quad tendons, both, so it's nice to see him killing legs after the healing process that takes so long. I remember it well.

I like how the big guy spoke about the neurological thing, I can relate to that, I dunno how to explain it but it's a just a feeling that the body and the mind are connected during the exercise, it's a good feeling.

Two of the most intelligent and knowledgable bodybuilders out there! I used to watch Evan's videos about nutrition and John's training videos and here I am watching them train together, oh boy!
Few questions:
Are the barbell squats necessary for developing great quads? I have long femurs and no matter how hard i try on them (mobility drills and stretches so i can hit good depth) I feel them more on my glutes and lower back and they just don't feel right. Should I give up on regular barbell squats and emphasise on machine squat variatons, hack squat and leg press instead? Is there such a thing like "not everybody is built for squats"?

It is mandatory to keep a proper balance of tightness and waterness. Most high-end track in PT keep it mostly for softness being akin to lightness.
