    "I had a lot of trouble locating this grill, so let's cut it up and paint it!" Love your can-do spirit dude. I would totally freak out thinking about cutting up a brand new grill.

    I'm putting a 96-02 4Runner front end, core support, fenders/hood, etc. on my 99 Tacoma since I've been unable to find a good 1st Taco core support in a yard. And the aftermarket ones are poorer quality than the hilux/pickup ones. A lot of cracking issues and poor fitment stories. So the insanely common part yard 3rd gen 4Runner ended up being the smart choice. Funny how all the info on these kinds of front end swaps seem to be on the 5 lug/lowered forums and sections.

    Sure seems like a nicer ride with those hydraulic mounts than earlier videos
    Also I don't know if you tweaked your audio but the transition from you to music seems better, Im no longer constantly adjusting the volume

    Did this grill and headlight setup just swap on without adding any holes for different mounting locations of the newer style headlights and grill?

    • @austinniemela
      @austinniemela  2 роки тому

      Yes the core support is different. I swapped that out as well

      Jeff Goodenough he filmed this while waiting for the motor prob. Then sat on the footage till now. Editing takes longer than filming.

    Nice job on the grill and lights ! I have been a fan of your channel for several years now and I.m a little disappointed with your sequence of videos. The engine is in the truck and you did a test drive and the truck is finished in the last video and now you are showing us a video of the truck with no engine in it and you are telling us that you are still building the engine, purchased a new grill and did all the mods to the grill and lights and so on. I don't understand why you would do that ?

    • @austinniemela
      @austinniemela  4 роки тому

      David McDuffie this grill video was filmed while I had free time during the engine rebuild like I explained at the end of the video!!

    • @davidmcduffie1398
      @davidmcduffie1398 4 роки тому

      I watched the video to the very end and heard you explain about when you filmed the grill video. It didn't make sense to me that you would upload to video of the truck finished and driving it then upload the grill video, seemed backwards to me with the video's being out of sequence. I not trying to bash you or be one of those haters or anything like that, Just trying to be helpful !
