How is the transmission tune? I find the stock transmission to be pretty good except when taking off from a standstill when it hasn't locked up the torque converter yet. Does the tune help that?

If I have an intake and cat back exhaust system, not planning to change an intercooler should I still go with stage 1 for ECU and TCU? Also their website is quite confusing with stage1 + don’t quite know what that means
Having owned both the S4 and the S5, do you have a preference? I've been pondering picking one of these up used for a fun daily driver that's fairly quick. I don't want to make "all the power," and I'm not huge on the burbles. I have heard some that I did like. However, most seem obnoxious. With all this being said, I've also only ever owned Toyota trucks. Any advice is appreciated, and you've earned my sub.
Thanks for the sub! With most tunes, you can filter the burbles with individual mode in the drive select. That’s what I’m doing now and it seems normal. Best of luck with the search!
How is the throttle response in D compared to stock? The stock tune in D have this "time based" throttle response and it is quite horrible compared to S, but S keeps gears for too long for normal driving :/
Both great platforms. Honestly I’ve just gotten used to the Quattro and ripping this car in the winter, but the 340 is available is RWD and AWD so that’s a nice plus. Lots of power potential for either!

@@xsswuix8336 haven’t got the tune yet the car is nice and has power. I’m finding the stock gear tune is awful. It will want to go into gear 7 when doing like 50mph. So tcu tune desperately needed. Other than that it’s a perky car im driving using paddle shift gears mainly until get tune.
@victor perez Now I'm just guessing here.. but if you blow up your engine, they're likely going to look at the ECU settings to see if they are stock.. don't you think?
@victor perez and the only reason I ask is to know if I should either only buy a used, out of warranty car to do this to, or buy new and maybe just wait to end of warranty to flash the ecu.
If you flash the ECU you can always just flash it back to stock. there isnt away for them to know its tuned unless you hint its not. If your motor blows up might be a different story tho
@victor perez I guess that's true. I wonder if there's a date/time stamp that's left behind after a flash that would tip them off.. I'll look into that.
Sheeeeeesh, what a crazy before and after. Even with bad conditions we ran much quicker times. I’m looking forward to getting some dry runs in soon!
