With the 034 tune you might need to switch it to another drive mode and then back to dynamic to get the burbles in park

The cold start is pretty crazy because the exhaust doesn’t have mufflers anymore.. it’s much more tame on my car (stock exhaust with same downpipe) I’m uploading that video soon

Smell on the inside isn’t noticeable at all. Just a bit on outside if you’re right behind it
Hey Kev been loving the videos and actually inspired me to get my 2017 B8.5 S5 with panda seats. I was wondering what exhaust you would recommend for it being a supercharged V6.

Amazing video and upgrades with the straight pipe. I want to do this to my B9.5 S5 Sportback but it is still brand new and I don't want to void the warranty
Thank you! Definitely a good upgrade to have on this platform. And yeah the 2019 is just barely out of warranty so we’re starting to have some fun with these cars
Felt that. I have a 22' B9.5 S4 with 9k miles so tons of warranty left. Limited to the JB4 for now. So ready for some real upgrades outside of intake/turbo inlet, but still probably a few years away :/ I sell these cars for a living, trust me you will want to keep that warranty as long as possible. All the new tech in these cars makes them prone to some issues.

@@maxwellbailey4810 it’s kind of a gray area really. Intakes are pretty harmless, although imagine a turbo failure happens. Could the tech diagnosing it say your aftermarket intake contributed? Maybe if he’s having a bad day. Usually intake, cat back exhaust, turbo inlet is okay. As far tuning, touching the ECU at all will instantly flag your VIN when scanned by the dealer. I run a JB4 piggyback “tune” that doesn’t touch the ECU, but changes values in fuel and boost to make more power. It doesn’t immediately flag my VIN when plugged up but if a tech wanted to dig deep enough he could find some outliers in boost pressure and fueling. I would recommend sticking to the basics and keeping your OEM parts to throw back on in the event of a warranty repair. Just know that if you try to flash the ECU back to stock thinking you’re in the clear, they WILL know. Once you touch it there’s no going back
The catless downpipe is designed for high boost applications. All tuning and turbo size options being considered, there is an efficiency gain to get by removing the restriction downstream of the turbine exhaust track. That being said, it is not a mandatory hardware upgrade for a mild boost setup but for anyone who plans to play and increase the power via added boost down the road, this should be on the shopping list. And it comes with a very nice tone as a bonus!

hey love the car sounds good im looking at getting a s4 B9 any thought or anything bad you would say b/c the one im looking at is a 2020 but it has 100000 KM on it not to sure if its good or anything that would go wrong with it
These are pretty dang good platforms! I’m at 34k miles in my 2019 S4 and it’s been great. Should be okay at that mileage

where you got the downpipe?
7/8" or 22mm open end wrench is way better for the O2 sensor on this application

Does anyone know what causes the rattling noise in minute 11:23 - 11:28 when he hits the accelerator? My car makes the same noise and I have been chasing down the sound for a while
I get that sound when I cold start my car which is normal. Weirdly, I get that sound when I accelerate between 2-3k rpm. Sounds annoying but still didn’t find out what the problem is

Where are you getting that fact from ? Personal experience or do you you have a video on here you can link? I’m interested because in my state we have emissions but not a “sniffer device” just an ecu scan so as long as no lights come on it should be fine.

engine is technically stock. ECU is tuned to stage 2 with some other supporting hardware mods

Downpipe on B9 EA839 is the most useless part in terms of the HP gain. St2 there gets you almost nothing, unless you go with the hybrid setup... And to be honest, IMO not the fan of that.

Does it smell bad?
Not bad for daily driving. Only if you stand directly behind it while idling!
PP can smell bad aswell sometimes but you get used to it 👀

How are there no crackles or burbles? Are you on a crackle-less file?
We did the install and filmed after clips before the stage 2 software was installed. There are crackles now. Gonna do an update video with a full review of the mods soon👍🏼
