First Dr. Alexis, your skin is gorgeous! And you are stunning! Second, this was such a wonderful explanation of the basics of niacinamide. And th a nk you for explaining the differences in these two brands, I use Good Molecules Niacinamide Toner which I've found works wonders for me because it has licorice root, arbutin & vit C. It's lovely, but so many of my subscribers ask me about these 2 brands so now I have your very informative video to send them to! Thank you so much!

I love your explanation to pretreat with Niacinamide too! I can't typically use L ascorbic but love SAP, MAP and THD is my fave form of Vit C. The Inkey List is my favourite. It’s well rounded and my skin loves it. I got The Ordinary’s as well but my skin reacted to it. I can handle it now but it took me some time and when I use it, I’m very careful and I only use a small drop of it (I use up to three small drops of The Inkey List niacinamide). But both are good, affordable products. I love them.

I know The Ordinary’s version is better for people who have super oily skin, but does anyone else think the “mattified” finish it gives you after it’s applied isn’t even a good type of matte? Like it makes your skin look tight and dull and like it got sucked dry of any sign of moisture. It’s not some healthy glow from within type of look. Idk maybe it’s just me. Not that I can even get it to work after I put moisturizer on top without it starting to pill 😤

I currently use the Cerave PM during the day (which has niacinamide in it, so would that be too much?) and the Cerave moisturizing cream in the tube for nighttime - is that too occlusive? Actually I'm using The Ordinary's Niacinamide, 2% Granactive Retinoid and Azelaic acid, JJ Labs Vitamin C seurmand the Inkey List Alpha Arbutin plus Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid and of course SPF. It It's been 4 weeks and I've seen improvement in my inflammation and texture as well as my ance scars beginning to lighten. I get PIE and PIH on my brown skin so I use Vitamin C, Niacinamide and Alpha Arbutin everyday but I use the acids and Retinoid only twice a week on different days

Im using the Inkey List Niacinamide and my skin is loving it! Spots are healing up and acne scars seem to be peeling? Im also double cleansing with Inkey List oat cleanser and simple micellar gel wash and using Faded cream then Paulas choice Omega complex moisturiser. Its taking a while but Im being patient. Im 55 and working on acne scarring on the cheeks.

Have you ever tried Cos De BAHA? It seems to have very similar ingredients to the Inkey List one and is a little cheaper if you buy 2 ounce bottles. It seems to be good for me, but I have never tried any other niacinimide, so can't compare. It is in an aloe base, so thicker than The Ordinary serums tend to be.
