I just had an appointment with Dr. Alexis Stephens today, and wow I’m just so impressed with how the appointment went! She was just super patient, informative, pleasant, and thorough! Her staff was very friendly and also patient. Im so happy I found her!
For a bright radiant complexion: 1 - Hydration is essential. It's beneficial. Try to consume at least 2 liters water every day. 2 - Daily, I cleanse my face with riceeberry face wash from litleextra. Although I occasionally skip this step due to impatience. It works but you need to apply it daily atleast once. 3 - I avoid any kind of soap etc. 4 - I avoid junk food. 5 - I do 30 minutes of exercise everyday. All together, all these steps helped me to get good glowing skin resulting in a complexion free from acne, dark spots, and pimples.
In the last couple of weeks, I've been using this face wash - rice berry by liittleextra and I'm very satisfied with the outcome. The face wash has a gentle transparent texture and a gentle fragrance. It lathers well and refreshes the skin thoroughly. It removes dirt, oil, and makeup without dehydrating the skin. The face wash includes natural ingredients like black rice water and white mulberry which help to lighten the skin and reduce dark spots. The face wash also improves the skin texture and leaves it smooth and smooth. The face wash is appropriate for all skin types and doesn't cause any discomfort or allergy. The face wash comes in a handy pump bottle packaging that is simple to use and carry.
I would just like to thank you for your help because I am a 28 brown skin girl and never had a skin care routine and your videos have helped me make informed decisions for my skin needs and still budget friendly❤️Thank you Dr.Alexis

After buying CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser and it’s daily moisturizing lotion my face is no longer dry and it holds moisture all day long and even leaves my skin look so smooth, beautiful and glowing! Thank you for this video! I was taking Accutane a few years ago, and it cleared my skin right up. Ever since, I have some dark spots again but I don’t break out often or in huge amounts anymore. I’ve been using Urban Skin RX clear skin bar, along with other products from them, and it’s worked wonderfully for keeping my skin clear for the most part! The LRP purify toleraine is kind of magic. It foams and gets to oil but it’s not stripping. And it actually works in hard water. It’s too much for my skin everyday, but I use it as a second cleanse when I wear makeup or lots of sunscreen. It also magically works for acne rosacea. And, it soothes active acne. I just think it really needs to be followed with a moisturizer. Occasionally, I follow with their mineral water spray. Takes red out of inflamed pimples. It is one of the best cleansers available imo.

Hi Dr. Alexis! I’m an esthetician in Kentucky, and I would love for you to do a video your outlook on esthetician’s and if you feel we make a contribution to the skincare industry. Or, what tips do you have for estheticians that would benefit the skincare industry? I’m always looking to learn and grow to ensure I’m doing my best.
Oily acne prone skin girls leave your favourite cleanser bellow, that removes make up too. I just started using La Roche Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel last night. I was using cerave sa cleanser before this or panoxyl etc.
I had an ugly raised scar from a bug bite. I used apple cider vinegar. Before I go to bed, I put some on a small gauze, then secure it with a big bandaid or medical tape. When I get up in the morning I used a cloth or my hand to rub it and the top layer comes off. It takes a while, but it works and is cheap.
Thank you so much for your expertise and skin advice. I have eczema on my face and would like to know which cleanser & moisturizer would work best for my face?
Please make a video on thinning edges in African American women and how to grow your edges back! Also how to know if the thinning and balding is a problem!
I am a Mexican American latina with fair skin but not Caucasian. So I am grateful for you! Could you talk specially about cerave PM moisturizer with an alcohol compound at the end of the ingredients; assuming it is a preservative. Have a very dry skin and live in a dry environment.
Do you have any recommendations for combination/dry or combination/oil skin? I saw the video about how all skin typing labels are just a gimmick to get you to buy products. All that said, I have combination/dry skin, and I feel like these two skin categories are, in general, being ignored. I would love to see a video about this.
I also have combination skin. I think a non foaming cleanser or a gentle AHA/BHA cleanser would work. Some good choices I’ve used are Murad AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser, Lancôme Mousse or Radiance cleanser, and Philosophy Purity Made Simple.
I highly recommend CeraVe cream-to-foam cleanser (it’s new). It’s a happy middle ground between their foaming facial cleanser and the hydrating cleanser. I felt like the hydrating cleanser wasn’t cleaning enough, while the foaming cleanser was too harsh. The cream-to-foam cleanser gives just enough foam to get rid of dirt/oil, but it’s creamy, hydrating and gentle at the same time. One night I forgot to put on moisturizer because I was so tired and when I woke up the next day my skin didn’t feel dry or tight at all. Definitely give this one a shot. I love it and it’s my holy grail cleanser now!
This was very informative but I have 2 questions. 1) what would be a good cleanser that would have benefits for aging skin- 40s+; 2) do you have cleansers you recommend for Combination skin or folks who only get Oily in the t-zone?
Thank you for this advice doc. What are your thoughts on using benzoyl peroxide cleansers for acne? Which do you prefer, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid?

Hi Dr. Alexis! What do you recommend for combo skin? I struggle finding products that work for my oily T zone and normal to dry cheeks that are also sensitive 😀.
Same! I’ve been wondering the same thing. I also have combination skin in the exact same spots-
more makeup than in used to seeing in your videos but you look very pretty, thanks for the info
By far the best break down(for me) I’ve come across.Thank you so much simple yet very informational.
Dr. Alexis your voice is so refreshing and your content is always very informative and helpful. I would love it so much if you are able to make a video on hypopigmentation! I have acne prone skin and slight hyperpigmentation and have never worn foundation until this year or sunscreen for that matter until I was blessed to find you! I’m 37 and have never had 3 different shades of chocolate anywhere on my body. Please, please help

Quick tip- don’t use Cerave hydrating foaming cleanser if you have rosacea. It has salicylic acid and mine flared like crazy.
Thanks for the tip.👍
There's another foaming cleanser the one for Normal to oily skin that doesn't seem to have salicylic acid? Do they have different ones?
@@daisiesandpandas1218 yes, the main 3 are hydrating, hydrating-to-foam, and foaming. The only one who salicylic acid is the hydrating-to-foam.
Omg this cleanser messed up my skin
Very informative. Thank you. I want to get into skincare but didn't know where to start. Please to more line this. For oily skin. With a skin care routine on what we should use first in that order. Thank you
I was waiting on a suggesting for moisturizer after using the facial wash for irritated skin… all in all great information
Thank you Dr Stephens, my skin is 💯% improved since following your instructions. You look beautiful!
How about combination skin
I wanna know what to use for us combination skin girls. But today loved the video and you look good.
Hi Dr.
Thank you so much for the rosacea call outs! I am gonna try the versed during flares.
The beat is FABULOUS!!!🥳
Thanks for the advice. Do I really need to use two different cleansers if I have normal to combination skin ? .
I’m going to give the two cleansers a try…right now I only use cerave foaming facial cleanser
Laroche posay is the best.. period
Your videos are always so clear and helpful! Which AHA cleansers, specifically those with mandelic acid, do you recommend?
I’ve binged watched your videos. After this one, I’m excited to share I’m using the correct cleansers and at the appropriate times of the day. TY!
Oily acne prone skin girls leave your favourite cleanser bellow, that removes make up too. I just started using La Roche Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel last night. I was using cerave sa cleanser before this or panoxyl etc.
Appreciate your effort and knowledge to educate us. God bless.. thanks
You look so pretty Dr. Alexis.
How do you get rid of a hard bump that stayed after trying to pluck a stubborn hair on the chin
I have this same issue. I’d love to know. I will try the ACV though
Thank you Dr. Alexis this was very informative! I am going to look for all new self care products for my skin.
Thank you so much for your expertise and skin advice. I have eczema on my face and would like to know which cleanser & moisturizer would work best for my face?
Dr Alexis you look beautiful with or without makeup.
Please make a video on thinning edges in African American women and how to grow your edges back! Also how to know if the thinning and balding is a problem!
Looking lovely as always! 💖 Can you do a video on keratosis pilaris, specifically how to handle it on the face? Thank you! 🌟
Your hair and makeup looks so nice.
Thanks for explaining the products and how they should be used
Great video! But what about combination skin??
I think a non foaming cleanser or a gentle
AHA/BHA cleanser would work.
I have dry sensitive skin, sometimes combination skin in the summer . Use ceve cleanser
Great content . Your face radiates . Beautiful smile . Perhaps a video on Asian skin .
Thank you for this advice doc. What are your thoughts on using benzoyl peroxide cleansers for acne? Which do you prefer, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid?
Your videos are so helpful! You are greatly appreciated 🙌🏽
Thank you very much Dr Alexis very helpfull Information. Please could you make a Video on treatment for stretch marks on Melanin skin. Thank you
