I seems like in the United States people like these get twice the prison sentence then in the UK. I am not sure why but in the US a lot of prisons are privately owned. There is a financial incentive to keep a prison full.
I wish we were like the USA where murderers of children and people in general are either jailed for life without parole or they are on death row. Unfortunately the both of them should get life imprisonment and no way for a chance to receive parole.
Smiths father taking his life to go and be with his grandaughter has broke me. This is the most heartbreaking thing ive heard. I truly hope he is with her ❤❤
I am not a very religious person. But I do hope that if there is an afterlife, that little Star is playing happily with her grand father whom loved her so much.
Just wanted to jump on and say I had my daughter at 18, single mum with no dad support and no family support, plus PND. My daughter is now at a private school and on track to become a lawyer 🥰
Be proud of her, but more importantly, be proud of yourself. It's a hard enough job with two parents and a circle of outside support. Good on you, and well done!
I left a violent abuser when my son was months old. I became a nurse and then a teacher and my son had grown into a wonderful man of whom I’m very proud. We can do it. It’s so much harder alone but the results are so worth it. Well done to you and your daughter
I have two friends, who where and still are together were HIgh school sweethearts. At the end of their senior of High school they had a baby on the way..jump to 28 years later the “said teen pregnancy” has produced a well adjusted, happy and bright kid, who is now a Man and has finished Medical School. I remember talking to my two freiends years ago about what the hell they where going to do being so young? The good thing is both had common sense, both knew their lives was no longer about hanging out with friends and acting dumb as hell. They equally buckled up, had hiccups and struggled through…but managed to build a life not only for themselves, but for their child. Unfortunately, this is not the case for everyone, but these two just worked hard and had friends and family that helped when needed, their parents refused to cuddle them, but supported them when sh*t got to be two much. I feel and they have admit, it was what helped them become strong partners and a good parent. NOW, years later they are still together and I was shocked as sh*t when they announced a baby sister was on the way. Oy vay! But hey they did not mess up the 28 yr so a new born is doing pretty good . Big brother was shocked but excited to have a sister coming. I wish that Star had a mother and father or good partner that her mom would have brought into her life. It is unfortunately, that this little sweetheart had to live like this and meet this piece of 💩 her mother chose to be with, regardless of her child hurting. I am sickened by parents who abuse and let abuse happen to a so-called partner, who is just pure evil.
Me sat here as a female. Who has worked security, the doors and boxed for my county. We're not all evil! Sign of a good bouncer is the number of fights you HAVEN'T got into.
I get that - I’m a martial artist (different but similar) and we’re taught to only use our skills as a very last resort. It’s probably like being in the police force - the majority go into it to do good and to help people, but there are some who are drawn to it because they relish the power and abuse it.
@@elliel3700 nobody said that but what WAS said is that those people "have a penchant for violence" which isn't true. Boxers & door workers don't particularly, any more than other professions. Boxers rarely use their skill outside of the ring and door workers are about keeping the peace. I'll admit there are some bad apples but in my experience they don't particularly like violence. To add, I'm neither a boxer or ever worked the doors but know quite a few people that are and do....none of them "have a penchant for violence".
There was a case in the US of a child who had died following horrific long term abuse, the Judge who got sick of seeing the same cases also put the social workers on trial saying their inaction made them implicit in the death. Totally agree, we should be doing the same here.
THIS!!! I am a nurse and since university we receive a lot of psychological terrorism about losing our license for stupid reasons, people generally lose their jobs over a complaint made by some Karen, then how come social workers are not held accountable when they are literally being paid to keep the children safe?
@StrangeKindaArtist Gabriel Fernandez, I saw it on Netflix. I think they got off in trial but it certainly would have taught them a lesson in accountability amd making his life mean something.
@@byronjones8136nah. it wasn't in trial. the charges were dropped. and then, one of them went on to do it again. barbara whatsername. she did the same thing again to anthony alvarez. he was beaten to death by his parents after months of reports to cps from school. she had closed the case with no investigation.
This case happened where i'm from. It's haunted and horrified us all. We held a Vigil for her after the court case and it was the saddest but most heartwarming thing to see everyone come together to remember her. She was put right at the top of our town christmas tree and will remain there every year. She'll always be our little star, we'll never forget her ⭐️
Are you a parent? Because, as a parent, I can’t imagine having something like this happening to a child in my locale. I mean happening anywhere, but it’s an especial pain when you know that child was proximate to you. I hope your community is healing. I hope you are too.
Wow I'm glad that she is remembered it's painful to hear what happened to that beautiful baby girl. I pray that she's loved and protected and happy in heaven
It astonishes me that little children are STILL being failed by so many services. It actually leaves me speechless. Yet they’ll jump on families who are not abusive but who just need a bit of support. I’ll never understand the backwardness of it all
My family was one of them. My brother is severely autistic and yeah, we needed a bit of help with him but that was it. Instead they tried to break us up - thankfully unsuccessfully. Pretty sure my mum and dad still have some psychological scars from it though.
So true Vicki. The tragedy is that Britain's social services were broken in the 1960s when I went through the system. In a children's home in Portsmouth, myself and another teenager became aware that the house "father" was molesting a couple of the younger girls. (Back then, there were no WWC checks so the only qualification needed to run a children's home was a marriage certificate). When we reported this to our respective social workers, we were both called liars. The problem IMHO is that social workers are mostly young, childless, middle-class, university educated and therefore ill-equipped to deal effectively with the type of low-life parents who hurt children. Or to recognise struggling families who could thrive with a little help. To fix it (and their chronic staff shortages), I would open the job up to us University of Life types who have lived a bit, who aren't easily intimidated and who can generally tell when we're being lied to.
My family has had social services intervention over false reports. The child in question is a happy healthy child who has no issues and is in a loving home. Their single parent has had social services involved since the split from their partner and honestly the harassment our family has to see from them over a happy healthy child is absurd
Social services ruined my life and almost completely destroyed our family. A private agency and two different council districts made up such lies and false reports. One example being that I was accused of neglecting and starving my daughter while my son was quite a little chunky monkey, so I was obviously giving everything to one and none to the other - when the truth was I was watching my ten year old wasting away in front of my eyes. We had endless doctors appointments, daily weigh ins with CAMHs, child welfare at school, blood tests, force feeding, various therapies every day and my ten year old wouldn't eat. We were screaming for help and had every professional involved and barely surviving each day watching our tiny girl slowly dying - and beating me up on a daily basis because I was the one who was forcing her into treatment so she took her frustration out on me in a physical way, but social services changed the facts to fit their narrative, to tick their boxes. In my job I have to work with social services every day but I will never trust a social worker again. I've never met a competent one. It's heartbreaking that they're not interested in doing the right thing enough to have saved this innocent baby :-(
That video clip of Star covered in bruises on her face, and she still smiled. Utterly utterly heartbreaking. My son is just 10 days older than her. May her beautiful soul rest in peace 🙏
I've seen many a gory video but I literally couldn't watch that video, I actually had to look away because I was on the verge of ugly crying. This video was one of Emma's most difficult for me to get through. Rest in Peace with the Angels, Star! ☮️🌟💗
This is why I force myself to listen to these stories, sometimes multiple times. These kids deserve to be known. And the red flags leading to tragic cases like this also deserve to be known. The most important things to hear are the things we don’t want to hear.
As a father who has raised 7 children, 5 of my own and 2 step-children. This just brings me to my knees. My brain can't comprehend this. It's unimaginable to good loving parents. I have to say this, them two girls never want to meet me in the street!!!😡 if they ever get released. RIP BABY GIRL X❤
SEVEN? Brh. Hats off to you. I’m a single mother of my “one of only” and I love every second of it. But SEVEN? You are a true father. Make sure to take the time for self care too. And keep being awesome!
As a former Met. Police officer and a child protection/sexual offences specialist I am gob smacked at the current raft of like offences. I believe there is a lot to learn about how services work in very overstretched circs and the lack of training and ‘not wanting to upset parents’ culture. Police officers of certain ranks and specialist are being brought into the job with little to no experience and that is never a good thing. Parents, relatives, teachers and concerned parties need to be listened too, after all what happened to the 24hr action time social services are required to respond with an active plan?
John, Ive worked in child protection for over 23 years and have been a SW for 12. Its sickening what’s happened and I agree with almost all of what you have said. SS have 24 hours to decide on an appropriate response. That might be to gather further info, close the case, have strategy discussion or meeting if they think the child is at risk of significant harm that may impair their development and or to complete an assessment. I’m guessing a SM took place given Star underwent a CP medical, by the sounds of things. I can tell you that my experiences are that if the Consultant Paediatrician does not confirm the injury as non accidental, and they often sit on the fence, you have no basis to conclude the child has been physically abused. It’s really difficult to know what’s happened here as there isn’t a SCR to draw from. But I always tell SWs in these senarios that 1) go unannounced 2) if the child is verbal speak to them alone 3) Observe in the presence of care givers. 4) ask for the child to have its nappy/clothing changed in your presence if a baby/toddler and to have them move. 5) information gathering from agencies and family is key. Although if we haven’t initiated a CP investigation we need parental consent to do so/and to feed back to the family referrer (unless they have PR), otherwise we face risk of breach of GDPR (my head hurts) and finally and most importantly if the Police take no further action that’s not our sign to with draw. If we think a child has been abused in any way, on the balance of probability, and that the risk is unmanageable to a point where they are at risk of continued significant harm/or that harm has occurred (that impairs development) we can ask a Court to make a public law order to move the child from the parents care. In an emergency we can apply for an EPO or ask the Police to use Powers of Protection.
@@lianneamington1791 Hi Lianne, my comments were mostly aimed at the policing side and immediate SS response. I agree that paediatricians are notoriously seen on the fence. The lack of APPROPRIATE follow ups and investigations have led directly (in my op) to these deaths. I used to visit homes and always look at their loo and you can tell a lot from someone’s loo believe me, they needed to make immediate or as immediate as possible, visits without ringing and making appointments. Emma covered that well enough. You are correct with what you tell SW’s ask to hold the child or look/play with them then see their reaction. Let -people complain it’s about the child not someone felt upset. I have investigated and brought to court so many young persons as well only to see the social worker being their best mate and overstepping boundaries through the lack of instruction and god knows what else. Believe me I have been very frustrated in the past and the red tape is unbelievable even when I was doing it but if your instincts are correct then there may be ways around it, however as you say if you have not met anyone that’s hard to go on…..but proper background checks would help but not in this case obviously. My main beef sadly is with the police and the Senior SW who make these decisions without actually taking time….which is hard when u have no time I get it…to look properly esp if multiple independent sources have come forward.
I'm sorry you have your instincs ,intuition, it's upto you to act urgently ,no matter all your talk ,you are responsible if its you ,in cases like this ,and many others ,been let down
John Lianne and Eternal thanks for your reasoned responses here. These issues are never black and white but sadly side line critics like Julia aren't interested in understanding the complexities you have raised. This is a big part of the problem.
This case is utterly heartbreaking and infuriating. Emma, I do not know how you do what you to do....your compassion is so evident when you share these cases. It's absolutely shameful that so many reports were made and nothing was done to save this sweet angel. More people like YOU need to be involved in the system!
I've said it before and I'll say it again here, EVERY child deserves a parent but not every parent deserves a child, and I think that is SOOO fitting here. I really hope that baby blue eyes has the peace in death that she wasn't given in life.... Damn this one hit hard.
This is why family court needs a HUGE wakeup call. Not every "parent" deserves visitation when they are abusive, mentally ill ect. Yet they force kids to go. And so many end up dead because women especially are looked at as "crazy baby mamas" it's disgusting
Star was such a beautiful little girl. So devestating. I said this in a previous comment, but- Emma, I cannot thank you enough for standing your ground re: lockdowns & the plethora of destruction it leaves in its wake. 🙌
I agree. A lot of respect to Emma for telling it like it is. Too many people go on making excuses for the government overreach and non-stop propaganda of the last 2 years.
The naughtiest a two year old can be is hiding the cookies behind their back while giggling or splashing water everywhere while in the bath. Poor baby.
Gleefully pouring water into the poor father's computer bag at a birthday party I worked was pretty impressive lol Dad found it hilarious. I'm guessing that's the appropriate reaction to "mischief" from a toddler, rather than how that piece of shit did.
That's what has me, there's not a single thing a 2 year old could do to deserve any sort of physical punishment (not that children at any age do). 2 year olds are still discovering what their world is and what boundaries even are.
Well, my son was biting other kids until blood was running out their noses. He also smashed me in the face with a metal car and headbutted me so hard I thought he broke my nose. He was never abused because of it though
I had a child at 16, as much as I wouldn’t recommend it and I can personally talk about the challenges… never would I have let someone hurt my boy. It has its struggles when you are a child and a parent but it isn’t an excuse to hurt or allow your child to be hurt ❤️ I have had a child at 16 and at 24, so much difference but the same love xx
Please keep talking about the impact of lockdown on children. You've brought it to my attention and made me realise what a devastating impact it can have. Thank you, your message and your experience is invaluable ❤️
Way more devastating than the virus which has an over 99% survival rate. We should have been given the information, vulnerable people encouraged to take all precautions and society should’ve continued. The amounts of damage caused by lockdowns and mandated vaccines will continue for generations. There are some winners from this but ordinary people are the losers.
Hopefully it will give the child protective services the good sense to start reacting to messages they receive from relatives and friends who are worried sick about a child, too. This happens far too often, lock down or not. Not all of these cases ends in the death of a child, but far too many people have to build their lives on the foundation of absolutely horrible childhoods.
@@Kari.F. yeah good point and thanks for raising it. Obviously rightly we always focus on the very worst cases of murder but the trauma that survivors have to live with and try to work through for the rest of their lives is just as bad and never really gets acknowledged.
I had the same abuse as Baby P and ended up signing myself into care. My parents put on an act of being wonderful, and I was out of control, when in fact, I was quiet and in the top class at school, with no criminal record then or now. I was running away, for my life. The main social worker, from one visit, thought my parents were wonderful because they offered her coffee and biscuits. Later on, at the care home, the staff realised I was a good kid, and after a visit from my mother and grandmother who dropped their guard, and still terrified one of my teachers 20 years on because she said she honestly thought they were going to kill each other, a letter was sent out immediately, saying they would not be having access to me again. That behaviour was going on every week at home. They'd made me a scapegoat because they were jealous. I'd had death threats and attempted murder since I was 5. I took what should have been a lethal overdose at 12, which they minimized and laughed at. A GP came out, and I've seen the report saying that "The parents didn't seem to care". Nothing was followed up on. They threw me out at 17 to a place I didn't know, so they could make me beg for help so they could look like big heroes. Despite it all, I got into Sheffield uni to study pharmacology, but couldn't concentrate because of the trauma. The authorities never learn, or don't care.
I'm truly sorry for your pain. I sincerely hope that you manage to separate your childhood trauma from the adult you are now, and can find peace. Go for that degree...if that is what you want...don't give up...rise above what they wanted for you, and show them they no longer have the power over your life...At least that is my hope for you, and anyone else who has suffered at the hands of someone meant to care.
Please don’t give up, through your GP you can go to Counselling, I did this when I left my abusive husband. You have had a traumatic childhood, I can’t even think of the pain and the bullying that you went through as a child. Rise above your so called parents, your so much better than that. Go for your dream job, you will smash it. Good luck for the future. Xxx Julie.
So much respect to Emma and how she covers these cases, the true passion in comparison to any other true crime UA-camr. She is nothing short of amazing and its inspiring! To me she hits the nail on the head in all ways. My heart has been touched in so many ways especially with the last two cases! Let's take action when we see things that are wrong! Big love! ❤️
She is the best! I've grown up watching Emma on my TV screen and I recently found her on UA-cam! There's just something different about her. I also lost my dad to suicide 4 years ago :( ❤️❤️
@@heatherfrida5431 Same here, I've always loved seeing her on TV before. I think it's her intergrity that makes her different personally. Sorry to hear that lovely, I lost my Mum 2 years ago to the same thing so I can understand how hard it is too. Big hugs❤️
Confused how Smith could say she was afraid of having Star taken off of her, but as soon as she was heartbroken she was happy to hand over care. She should have got life too. She’ll be young* enough to have more children and do this again 💔
I think it’s money. The financial incentive to have children, particularly in the UK & the states, is a problem. A good parent wants what’s best for their child, even if it means they can’t keep them. But that’s not what we see happening. We have “reunification” in the states & it’s contributed to many horrific deaths of innocent children. There’s a focus on getting the child back to their biological parent even when they’re happy & thriving for years in their foster home, but they’ll be sent to live with a mother they don’t know who’s done nothing to show she deserves them (we have ANOTHER similar tragic case unfolding here, a 5 year old named Oakley). It’s obvious these parents just want them back for the money they’ll get in social welfare. The stories are all the same. These babies are born with drugs in their system, put in foster care or with responsible family, then bio mom thinks “I need more money, ill just get that kid I popped out & didn’t give a shit about a few years ago & starve it.” A single mother gets more money for each child…it’s an incentive to be irresponsible at best & recipe for disaster at worst, especially with these ridiculous lockdowns.
@@emkay888 I think you’re right, I hadn’t thought about money/benefits (welfare.) Tbh, if she can be this evil and callous she’d be manipulative enough to use her child for the money. I’ve heard about Oakley Carlson 💔 I have no words for how heartbroken her foster parents just be feeling. It’s all a mess, I don’t know what kind of spiritual/physical/emotional cleansing this whole planet needs, because how do we keep churning out humans that become parents that are monsters?
This happened in the apartment complex opposite my street (I can see it from the window now), and almost two years later local residents still leave flowers, teddies, balloons etc. tied to the gates of the building for Star, especially at Christmas, Easter, and more recently on her birthday - it's distressing to walk past every day, but it's comforting to know Star is not forgotten, and is being shown the love now that she didn't have whilst alive. It was absolutely devastating and shocking for all of us here, made worse by occurring during the pandemic with an already-stretched and under-funded children's services team missing the warning signs; but what I can say is that if Brockhill the baby killer ever returns to this area, I doubt she will last very long.
At least star is safe in heaven surrounded by people who love her while brockhill and smith are vertually rotting in jail and escort them both down to hell where satan himself will give them evil poisonous vile appalling excuse for human beings a beating of their scabby pathetic lives wish i could be there to video it all on my mobile phone for the whole world to see in the internet and social media.
I hope neither last long in prison either... why are we letting child predators to continue breathing. If we can put a dog to sleep for biting then surely we should euthanise humans who commit crimes against children.
If star had the chance to live her precious beautiful life she would have turned 3 years old. Star should be here on earth running around playing with her little friends enjoying preschool and learning lots of new and interesting things not being in a cold dark lonely cemetery that's for brockhill and smith to be dumped in.
@@stargazer2019 I have no first-hand knowledge of this but I believe there is a special kind of prison justice for inmates who hurt children that causes them years of fear and discomfort. Personally, I like this idea a lot better than state-sponsored "euthanising".
I watched this horrifying story this morning, and have been thinking about Star all day. That poor little baby, there are no words to describe how I feel.
I found this a very difficult watch, as I think we all did. The failings of the authorities on this case is astounding and I agree, nothing is being learned. It is no different in 2021 than it was in 1990 when my own abuse was ignored/missed. I want to thank you Emma, as a victim of child abuse I have often wondered what life would have been like if even one person had reported what they were seeing/hearing. One call can (and should) make a difference. BE LOUD with your reports and remember it is better to be wrong than to be sorry you didn't act at all. Beautiful Star... May you fly safely under the caring watch of your grandfather 💞

I've been deeply into rue Crime for most of my 28 years and I've seen every other crime channel on here. You raised the bar. Going through all your videos has been like watching Mike Tyson for the first time. You absolutely killed it. You should right the book on this subject., like the encyclopedia on this subject. The amazing manner in which you break down highly complicated, often technical aspects simply and to the point. The warmth that you exude while talking about the most terrible things in the world. You seem like you would write a wonderful novel.
Yesss!!! This is every bit me, as well!! Spoken so eloquently, also, may I say! I recently discovered Emma too, and have been captivated for like a week straight now 😅❤
My deepest and sincerest thank you and immeasurable respect for being the one to cover these absolutely devastating crimes of abuse and senseless murder of these innocent little ones. These cases would be gut wrenching to cover but you still go to those places where many don’t want to go and don’t want to hear or see. You are the voice of these little souls who cannot speak for themselves in life and in death. You do so with such passion, empathy and lovingly for these little ones so they are heard. You do not shy away from calling out the agencies, parents, caregivers that have so many opportunities to save these precious lives if only they did their job. It’s a parents responsibility to always put their children’s needs and safety as paramount above everything and everyone else. So many of these little ones could still be here with us today if agencies and parents actually did what they should be doing. If people just spoke up, make that call and keep calling regardless of anything else. What does it matter if it offends people. If they are not doing anything wrong then there is no reason to be offended. It’s our responsibility regardless of whether we know the people or not. It’s deeply saddening that so many people did make those calls and they fell upon deaf ears. However too many people just don’t pick up that phone. Regardless of how heartbreaking it is to hear and know of the horrific abuse, neglect and loss of life in such unimaginable horror I refuse to look the other way. I refuse to not sit and listen to everything you are saying in every heartbreaking detail because far too many people and child safety departments have been grossly negligent in protecting children that are so innocent and at such high risk of being tortured and murdered by the very people who are the ones that above all should protect them with their lives. I am a survivor of severe child abuse but I am one of the lucky ones that survived and was raising myself at 15. I was a single Mum to 2 beautiful children that are now adults. I never raised a hand to my children. Ever. I could never put another human being above the safety of my children. Thank you again for covering some of the most horrific crimes against children. I cannot begin to imagine how difficult these cases are to cover. You truely are an amazing human being.

Dreading this. Arthur broke me so this one is going to tip me over the edge. Such a beautiful little baby girl. Sitting watching my 11 month taking in the world around him. I just couldn’t imagine allowing anyone to harm any part of him. You’re completely right Emma, lockdown has caused so much damage 💔
With respect I don’t agree, yes the perpetrator/s are ultimately to blame however the statistics speak for themselves. Lockdown allowed things that ordinarily would not go unnoticed to go unnoticed You have a women with psychopathy with the perfect target and no body in authority around to have to answer to…recipe for disaster
@@paulthrutner9114 ppl are not blaming lockdown as such! it’s about the abusers not being able to cope 24/7 without flipping out!! @ least when your in that situation and you usually work you only have a few hours of the evening to deal with the abuse but being locked down, you can’t escape it x
Of course lockdown did not murder these children but it is sadly playing a pretty big role in several cases..when you have someone angry and abusive..naturally when one goes out into public they probably do not rage and abuse and beat the children in public but you put them locked down..hidden essentially..behind 4 walls..no break from the abuse and it very obviously is going to lend a hand.. especially since they don't have to worry about anyone seeing injuries...and any kind of irritation they have about not being able to go out will ultimately be taken out on the child. It is sadly giving abusers the perfect opportunity and according to statistics it is absolutely an issue.
That beautiful baby must have lived and then died in sheer agony and terror. It's unfathomable. I have had to pause to cry and breathe multiple times, but you do an incredible job on these videos Emma. Everyone needs to know what happened to Star. Rest in eternal peace little baby, safe at last with grandad 💝
I personally went through a case of trying to protect a child from abuse.. I was ignored and attacked by everyone the social workers turned on me .The child was beaten to an inch of her life ...even then they protected each other ...the child went through hell for 18 months ...she is now with me and thriving still damaged by what happened to her .The professionals failed her..
Thank you Emma for honouring beautiful baby Star. It's so difficult to discuss unnecessary children's deaths at the hands of the people who should be there to protect them. There needs to be a dramatic change in the system to prevent this from happening again. I hope Star is now at peace and playing happily with her grandad.
Hearing about this little girl exhausted, falling off her chair, crawling up the stairs, it's hit me even harder than James Bulger case. The fact a mum, the one you go to for cuddles and comfort could do such inhuman acts. God my heart breaks
This homophobia witchhunt is something which as a gay man I am so sick of hearing about. If I was in a relationship with another man and we were doing a terrible job of taking care of a child I'd want that child to be taken off me by social services!
Sexual orientation has nothing to do with whether a person is a good person or not, You my friend are clearly a good person. These women were clearly not. It wouldn't have taken much more than a few questions and looks at social media to have discovered that. Absolutely heartbreaking.
@@mblack422 It's terrible m black. The same thing happened with those 2 bitches over in America. They dumped one of their kids outside a therapist's office and were still allowed to later adopt six vulnerable children and abuse them aswell...

I know the main purpose of this channel is true crime but I also have to say that you keep me so accountable as a parent. Sometimes when I get overwhelmed and need a break I want to pull away and maybe stay on my phone too long but that's not right and the last thing I ever want to do is hurt my children. Thank you for adding those parts in that at least myself as a parent needs to hear sometimes!❤
My mother was in a deeply abusive relationship, hospitalised a number of times, the final straw was when he threatened and went for me and my siblings. So I absolutely agree that there's something different when children are threatened. My mother did what any decent mother would do, she stood up for us and left. What a hero Holly is like you said. Despite the risks doing what's right and trying to protect that poor beautiful baby. I am so angry at these monsters and social services for allowing Star to remain in this hell hole. Thank you for covering this, it's always hard but it needs to be done. As always you do a wonderful job :)
the British legal system is actually terrifying like I'm shocked Frankie can be out age 24, at the point she considered getting an injunction but then decided to leave her child alone in the hands of the person she knows is dangerous and has researched her options, she chooses to literally leave her child unsupervised knowing clearly she's putting her child's life at risk every single time she's around her, she's responsible for murder she might as well have killed her with her bare hands and should never see the light of day again
I know. 17 is an adult. Though technically it's not, my son got caught trying to steal a shirt on his 17th birthday. They told him if it had been the day before, he would have been a juvenile. But the law looks at 17 as an adult. She should have been sentenced to life in prison. I don't care if she can be rehabilitated. She murdered her own child. There's no coming back from that. Even if you have remorse, or would be safe for society, some crimes deserve punishment that will last your whole life. You murder your child, or allow your gf to murder your child, you forfeit your right to freedom forever
Apparently she was intellectually impaired. And look, I get that people with intellectual impairments are not necessarily violent or neglectful. But their ability to predict the outcomes of choices is going to be very poor. Someone with a 70 IQ needs to be monitored, particularly if they have kids of their own. I mean, sorry not sorry. We need to start being honest here.
My mum was 17 when she had me, she and my dad lived with my paternal grandparents until I was about 2 and half, but my mum never relied on them to look after me, they only did when both her and dad were working. She was an absolutely amazing mum, you wouldn't know she had me so young. She died when I was 11 and the fact these vile pieces of sh*t are still living and breathing makes my blood boil! There really is no justice in the world.
The thought of that monster hitting that baby so hard she fell out of a car is just sickening, she’s just a tiny little baby, with no understanding of what is happening it’s disgusting. I’m at a loss for words
What breaks my heart the most is the hell of being loved one minute, abused and neglected the next. That feels so much worse than not knowing love at all and the inconsistency causes terror in a baby/child. Why couldn't she just have stayed with her grandparents??
Great coverage on this Emma. Respect to you. I see the emotion in your eyes. Must be so hard to talk about these poor babies without crying. True professional you are. 👍🙏x Emma Kenny for prime minister!!!
I have a friend who grew up with a scar right across from his left eyebrow up to his scalp. He had an abusive mother and I get why he hates her until today. He's one of the lucky ones who managed to grow up really well and is one of the most brilliant souls that I know. Caring, hardworking and smashing all his goals. Despite the abuse, he managed to grow up to be a far better person than his mum will ever be. I'm heartbroken though that children like Star have to suffer through these kinds of evil incarnate abuse. NO child should have to be brought out into this world just to be a human punching bag. Let other people better capable take care of your child/ren if you can't. This is a death which was wholly preventable. I do hope Smith and Brockhill get the max. And even THAT is a far far lighter sentence than what they ought to get.
I had lots of barriers to leaving. But I was concerned for my 6 mo baby. So I left. I was homeless for a while. I trained as a nurse. It was hard. No support. Went to university and worked part-time as a nurse. It was hard. Did post-graduate teacher education. Yep. It was hard. But today I have a happy grown up son. It was all worth it. But I do acknowledge that the result of leaving can be murder
Love this! I had my first set of twins on my 16th bday. I married an abusive man. I had a daughter and then another set of twins. When my kids were 3, 3, 1.5, 6 mo and 6mo.. I left cuz he started beating me in front of them. It was hard. I worked 60 hrs a week and bought our first house at 20. I’m now 36, an engineer and my kids are fantastic, functional humans. One of my 20 yr old sons just started his own family and is the best dad (he has a 2 yr old bonus daughter and a bio 3 month old). I am soo proud of my family and worked my ass off to give them what they deserved
I just watched qn extremely detailed video on this case. She referred to the child as it and allowed savannah complete freedom in disciplining Star. It's horrible and said. There were details about her being purposely kept awake for days the women not allowing her to sleep and making videos of her falling out of her chair she was so tired and laughing hysterically. Savannah caused her a broken ankle I think it was then would make her walk on it. These two need some serious shit beat out if them
Totally agree with you. I wouldn't want to be in prison, but just let me have one day inside the prison they're in, with a prison officer that will turn a blind eye.
It looks like Satan's legion were drooling so much over the abusive girlfriend, that they tried terribly hard to take her. What was it? Three seizures, and a cardiac arrest? Those Demons don't like to be kept waiting. That monster's days are numbered. She's going to meet something so monstrous and horrific in the after life, that she couldn't even imagine it in her worst nightmares.
@mynonmignon hope that comment wasn't aimed at me as I knew what I was doing when I had sex and faced my responsibilities head on,and I would do it all again for my children(3) are my whole world However that sadistic mother of wee star deserves to rot in hell and should never have had children....I hope she enjoys her time in jail, her and her scumbag partner
The dark brown sick from star at the end is what happens with patients when they are dying from my experience as a nurse. So the injuries were already way way past being helped! I can’t imagine the pain she was in! It winds me up so much! Like baby P and Arthur and Victoria! I’m sobbing so much! And I’m angry! This is why I don’t watch the kids ones! But all the staff that failed! They are to blame too!
as a nurse also, dark brown sick (blood), is not a sign of end of life in everyone, but of internal bleeding. We have to watch these, to share with our colleagues, to inform change. No matter how difficult, as its our vocation. I love you Emma, I would just like to state that I refer to Star as a baby, Yes a little girl, but a baby. Like you I read the full DOH report on VC. I'm sick of hearing still about "lessons to be learnt!'
@@sambutters2063 … what also needs to be done is for all those CPS personnel who knew of Stars case and turned a blind eye, deaf ears …should have had their asses hauled down to the mortuary and shown this poor little babies body!! Another horrific, unnecessary death. My heart is aching for all the pain this innocent baby endured!
@@sambutters2063 that has nothing to do with Star and her Injuries but, just as an additional fact, if you are bulimic and drink lots of coffee or zero kcal coke your sick will also be dark brown like that 🙈
@@JojoplusBo Star is now a beautiful little shining star in heaven. Rest in sweet heavenly peace little cutie pie you were too good for this cruel world.
I have 2 children almost the same ages as Arthur and Star so this just really hurts so much. You honoured both beautiful children Emma. Thank you. The only peace I can get from this is imagining that Arthur and Star are playing together right now, happy, loved and free
First Arthur labinjo-hughes horrible tortured posioned, and beaten and starved and now little star hobson. It breaks my ❤ how anyone can harm a child. Thank you Emma for covering both these sad cases. I agree lockdown was a failure in terms of mental heath and abuse and child murders. Social services were lazy and couldn't give a damn. They need to pay for letting these children down. So many opportunities were missed in Arthur and star case. Horrendous!
The sentences are not long enough imo, and Frankie should of been convicted on higher charges. She may have a very low iq but she knew fine well what was happening was wrong and therefore she should have stopped it. Her texts to Savannah are proof that she knew
But she was"clever" enough to handle applying for child benefits and council flat to live in. I do believe it was her main motivation to keep Star., not that she cares about her.
I have seen this case on other shows and I too believe that the babysitter is a hero. She had no blood relationship with star but the love and care she felt for Star was more than her so called mother
My heart breaks for this little girl, I cannot imagine how someone can hurt a defenceless child like this honestly I cannot comprehend this. 💔 Only a monster can do this to someone! “Is it just me? “ Emma, we need merch with this question, please!
@@MsGeoffh she isn't in a better place. She would have been so happy if she hadn't been tortured by those evil people hurting her. She was loved and happy and didn't need to have suffered the way she did. If social services did their job correctly they would have picked it up and removed her. In fact the police failed her as did the NHS Dr at the hospital. Brockhill had a great excuse for the earliest bad bruise and the police and the Dr both confirmed brockhills story to frankie saying it was believable.
Brockhills despicable sisters have been taunting people on Facebook. They’ve actually got the raw nerve to claim she’s innocent and that Frankie killed her precious innocent baby. I have no words for either Savanna or Frankie.
I just pray that the guards turn a blind eye to anything that happens to these demons whilst they’re in prison. Brockhill might not be so tough now she’s surrounded by adults, who may have nothing to lose.
Disgusting. It’s just so heartbreaking about this baby. I do think Brookhill is evil and manipulated the mother to such an extent she abused her baby. Smith most likely wouldn’t have abused this beautiful baby without the manipulation.
I’m filled with so much rage ! How?! How can any hurt a child at all much less beat them and torture them?! And I’m sobbing for the pain and confusion this sweet baby girl experienced and the incredible loss that her family is experiencing…
Hello Star, please come with me My name is Arthur, you’re safe and free There’s a gazillion things to see and do And loads of kids like me and you. There’s loads of toys in the room up there And these stairways lead to who knows where The people that hurt you won’t touch you now You will recover… we both will, somehow. The ocean here is always blue And if you look up high, there’s rainbows too You’ll meet lots of family you didn’t know But they’ll keep you safe with love they show. As for Christmas, well, that’s special here Angels and carols, you’ll see and hear There’s other kids that you’ll get to meet And no-one knocks you off your feet. Up here, it’s happy every day There’s a rainbow bridge with dogs, to play There’s so many animals they all run free No fear of hunting or cruelty to see. Come with me, you’ve family to find Then you can gently sleep as your soul unwinds Now take my hand you’re safe little Star With your special name you’ll shine from afar. RIP little Star xx
Emma, idk what you’re former field of study and or livelihood was, but you would’ve been an amazing contributor in the counseling field because your amount of knowledge and empathy for others is what makes you a superstar and you deserve to be recognized as one! I’ve only seen a handful of your videos, BUT YOU ARE THE REALEST AND THE KINDEST PERSON WITH THE KIND OF CONTENT THAT MAKES THIS THE MOST IMPORTANT SUBSCRIPTION FOR THE WORLD OF UA-cam, AND I THANK YOU DEARLY!❤❤
I was (and still am ) a psychological therapist (psychologist ) and have spent my whole career doing just that (working with victims of crime has been a big area ) so good spot 😉 x
You are such a smart woman Emma in every sense of the word. You should have been a judge cos you know how to sentence. BTW I used to live in Bury, Lancashire but uprooted in 1982 to live in Colorado. The sentencing in the US is far more severe here than the UK. I love to listen to your stories, though many are so upsetting, but as you mention, people need to be aware. This world just seems to be getting worse. ❤️❤️❤️
I disagree, individual social workers should have been brought to account. Their failures cost Star her life and months of suffering. Even sacking them is too kind, they should be up on the stand and receiving prison sentences
How can anyone hurt a beautiful baby. They are both complete monsters. Thank you for covering it so well Emma . My heart breaks for this poor little girl 💔
Thank you for bringing the stories of the vulnerable to light. We need to rage, we need to get angry enough to do something when we see a child in a state of neglect or violence.
This is heartbreaking and horrifying. A well researched video. I find it deeply disturbing that SB worked in end-of-life care and agree with you that she may well have enjoyed having enormous power over anyone particularly vulnerable. R.I.P. Baby Star
My son once genuinely fell down the stairs a few years ago and bumped his head and when me and his mum took him to hospital the doctor made me feel like I had done something wrong like I was an abusive father when I am nothing of the sort I was mortified and to think all these obvious signs of abuse to little star could be ignored in this way sickens me to the core.
Thank you Emma! My blood is boiling watching this. Even with frankie's learning disability she deserves everything she gets and I suspect she is going to suffer some pain herself in prison. You are absolutely right and the lockdown had a huge violent impact on many across the world.
My son is just 9mths old and all I could think about is him when I listening to you. I'm heartbroken for this little angel. She did not need to die or endure this torture! Shame on the authorities. Blood on their hands too! RIP Star 🌟
Holy cow! Girl....you are incredible. I have not seen any true crime UA-camr that goes as in depth into the psychology behind these crimes as you do. I watch so many, Danelle hallan, John lordan, Georgia, Brooke, Stephanie Harlow, 10 to life .....you have absolutely blown my mind. What an absolutely incredible job speaking up for the victim. And for speaking your honest opinion, I may or may not agree on them all but it's refreshing to see someone state their idea and opinions honestly, especially about some of these monsters that truly don't deserve the benefit of doubt knowing what we do now. Just wow. Fantastic job speaking for this poor beautiful little girl And my god....all I see is my baby boy in her place. I can't even do it. I can't even imagine allowing him to be hurt that way, I can't even stand the thought. I'm a little over protective, I over react sometimes when he bruises his knee or bumps his head....but I just hear his cry of pain and it physically hurts me deep down, it's like this innate fear that it's serious....even when I know it's not. I just cannot wrap my mind around allowing my child to be treated this way as a mother. I love my husband, we've been together 12 years ....if I ever saw him harm my child or treat him the way that animal treated Star I would not even spend a whole minute making the decision to kick his ass to the curb. Disgusting behavior
Emma Kenny you are an absolute delight i love watching your crime videos thank you so much for speaking on star's behalf she would have been proud of you. Speak for those who can't. Xx
Agreed. To make matters worse, my little girl is only a few months older than star and even looks like her a bit... The big blue eyes and blonde hair. Same shape face and smile. I can't stop crying. My little one loves climbing and exploring. She's a bit of a daredevil and has bruises on her shins from climbing, running, playing... Normal baby bruises. The odd little bump on the head if she runs too fast and smacks into something. I can't imagine if something "catastrophic" happened to her. She accidentally rolled off a bed once at 8 months and I immediately rushed her off to the hospital, I felt sick thinking she was hurt or broken something. I literally just turned to grab a baby wipe, didn't even leave the room. I think the worst thing is no matter how her story is told, no matter how much she was loved, we can't bring her back. And why couldn't smith just leave her where she was. She was happy. She was safe. I find myself taking all of this grief for a child I never knew and trying to pour even more love into mine to try and make up for the senselessness of this crime. Poor Star 😥 I already told my child's father that if we ever broke up, I'm not dating again until she's out of the house living her own life. Just not a chance I would be willing to take.
This is the most incredible saddest horrific and awful case if child abuse I have ever heard. These two women are monster. This poor little girl didn't stand a chance. Breaks my heart. Couldn't imagine that little baby pain
Well done Emma, that was a tough one. Couldn’t help tearing up when you were reading the list of injuries. Lovely photo of Star at the end, such beautiful blue eyes, rest in peace little angel 💜
Speechless after this one, the sentences are far too lenient & something needs to be done with the system to protect kids asap. PS i appreciate your politics & your opinion ❤️
Thank you so much for covering this horrendous case...your coverage and analysis is so informative and helpful, it gives me alot to consider and to be aware of where children and possible abusers are concerned.
I remember watching Emma, back when she used to dissect the behaviour of the Big Brother housemates 🔍😊 As a Forensic Psychology student, I'm loving how she's remained true to her old style of delivering clinical analysis in such an informal tone. From an academic perspective, it makes things so much more easier to absorb. Her research team are really doing their homework too! 👏 Although these cases are so awful to hear, public exposure and awareness (such as this video) is so relevant in breaking the age-old cycle of "just keeping quiet" & "sweeping things under the carpet". Children are losing their lives and they deserve more than being reported as "just another statistic" or number in the failings of our Social Care system. Thankyou Emma for bringing this awful case to light & helping to give children like Star a voice ⭐
Although it’s hardly a “clinical analysis” to categorise boxing and door work as “masculine traits”, and to categorise people who participate in either of these fields as aggressive. Boxing is a sport. Door work is a job. Many decent men and women participate in both, as in many other areas of life.
The part where she took Star to work and kept going to the car to beat on her really shows the monster. It wasn’t like the child was right there irritating her by crying or having a potty accident and she just happened to lose it.
This is the first time watching your channel and I’m so glad I did. Your telling of Star’s tragic and heartbreaking story was told with such feeling and empathy. Anger as well which is totally understandable. You gave beautiful Star a voice when so many failed to hear her in the past. I don’t even want to comment on those 2 monsters because the words I would use aren’t allowed on you tube. Suffice to say I hope neither of them ever see the light of day again regardless of the lenient sentences . Rest in Eternal peace beautiful Star.
Thank you for covering this. Sick of hearing lessons need to be learnt. Action needs to be taken now to protect these little angels. Sleep tight little angel. Sorry that you were not protected more xx
Hey everyone I cannot stay to chat this evening but wanted to bob in & say hi to Em & y'all. This channel provides one of the safest spaces for people to chat, despite the horror of these cases Em you speak for the victims and are literally the best for True Crime. The safe space you've created is amazing, moderating on a different style of channel I can tell you there are some crazies about! Have a great evening everyone and stay safe and well, I look forward to watching this episode later. Keep up the great work Emma you deserve the support you receive #bangtorightslove 🥰
I like Emma Kenny too she is amazing. Wait even if the man was in the babies life if he went to work the woman would be holding the baby anyway. To put this out there if you have sex sperm plus an egg makes two things an STI or a baby, bad news you are not going to get a holiday to the Maldives. Look at your bank account write down your lifestyle and ask your selves are you prepared to drop this out of your life or that out of your life? Are you and your partner in a good place? Education within schools.
This makes me so angry, how could you look at that beautiful angel with such beautiful blue eyes and want to harm her, soul destroying. rest in peace little one 🕊
Obviously a normal person wouldn't entertain such an idea but these two were sick, sadistic freaks that took pleasure in torturing an innocent toddler. Hideous demons the pair of them.
Hell yes. It's so awesome to see someone saying the actual truth and to understand that offense of someone's language is nothing compared to abuse and actions
Dear Emma, when you were choking on your words describing this beautiful child`s injuries, we were right there with you! It must be harrowing to research and record these cases and it is absolutely heartbreaking for us to hear about these atrocities, however they must be told! Thank you for your hard work 🌸
It’s truly heartbreaking, wee Star, a little angel, taken too soon. Fly high with the angels and your grandad, I couldn’t have children, if someone handed Star to me, I would have cherished her. I’m crying so much right now.
This is so sad, so awful & tragic. It seems like children are more in danger now, than ever before. The TV personality Emma mentioned, groomed a minor, then suddenly decided to publicly admit his sexual orientation just as the (now grown young man) he’d groomed since before he was 15 y/o, went to the media about the ‘affair’ - it’s wasn’t an affair, it’ was grooming. It wasn’t about this ‘celebrity’ coming out, it was a diversion and him trying to close the gate. I don’t even understand how he’s still on TV.
Yeah, I really hate how that poor guy was silenced while Schofe gets the adoring applause and still remains on TV. Hope he gets a chance one day to expose what went on.
New subbie here! I love how real you keep it!! It had to be incredibly hard throughout the research of this case. It is so very heartbreaking, disgusting, and disturbing.
What makes Emma videos so watchable, is the fact she not only shows her humanity and care towards the victims, but highlights the fascinating phscology behind the perpetrators, her skill which is her trade. Her witty remarks lighten the sadness a little, but done most respectfully.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so horrified by a list of injuries on a victim... 15 injuries on this baby‘s little head... its must have been more injured than uninjured 😔
@Sonny Rebelene …. UK 17 mth old Baby Peter Connelly, 50 plus injuries, broken back, missing finger tips, broken ribs….tooth knocked down into his stomach… rip Baby P Baby Brianna Lopez, 5mths.. two skull fractures, broken ribs … legs and both arms… repeatedly raped by father and and uncle…thrown up to ceiling and let drop on the ground repeatedly after a drinking binge by mother, father, uncle. Rip Baby Brianna~. There are many cases of child abuse resulting in death we don’t hear about, just how many… we will never know. Statistics in the United States alone of child abuse resulting in death is 4.5 DAILY!
@@CRONiKMANNY … I’d hardly call these cases “ good ones”… horrific, yes. I do not watch cases involving child abuse any longer for obvious reasons. I appreciate, True Crime with Emma Kenney - UA-cam…. best crime channel on YT by far. Emma is one of UK’s most notable Psychological Therapists and Crime commentators and will warn her viewers of the sensitivity behind all her cases she reviews, particularly involving children… her channel may interest you….. cheers!
I'm really happy to announce that Stars "mother" has had her sentence increased to 12 years today. It still should be much longer!
12 years? I hope every single day is a living hell
I seems like in the United States people like these get twice the prison sentence then in the UK. I am not sure why but in the US a lot of prisons are privately owned. There is a financial incentive to keep a prison full.
Life is the only reasonable sentence. She now has her father's death on her hands as well.
I find it so weird that a sentence can be increased on an appeal. That would be a nice thing to have. Sometimes juries just get it wrong
I truly hope he is with her ❤❤
This case was already horrific but to hear of the ripple effects and Star’s grandfather… it makes this case all the more sad.
I am not a very religious person. But I do hope that if there is an afterlife, that little Star is playing happily with her grand father whom loved her so much.
He is.
That’s not true , it was false news smiths sister said so in an interview
@@siobhanhampsey2534 I’m so glad to hear that, thanks for correcting us all. I had no idea that was misinformation.
Great job!👏🏼👏🏼😄
The exception, not the rule by a long shot.
@@86londongirl I was about to say more or less exactly what you said! So, yes, completely agree.
Nobody thinks you are all evil.
Nobody ever stated that all bouncers or boxers are evil.
What case was that?
@StrangeKindaArtist Gabriel Fernandez, I saw it on Netflix. I think they got off in trial but it certainly would have taught them a lesson in accountability amd making his life mean something.
@@byronjones8136nah. it wasn't in trial. the charges were dropped.
and then, one of them went on to do it again. barbara whatsername. she did the same thing again to anthony alvarez. he was beaten to death by his parents after months of reports to cps from school. she had closed the case with no investigation.
In case no-one knows, Star's mother has just got MORE time added to her sentence! She has been given a further 7 years!
good.
Now that’s a good news
That’s the only good thing in this disgusting and abhorrent situation. That poor poor little child

Good she can stay in there forever and stay away from us
"star went through hell, to get to heaven" was what was said by the grandmother or great grandmother. Absolutely heartbreaking 💔💔💔
💔😔💔😔💔
If it wasn’t so sad then that saying would be poetic 😢
It is unfortunately true. You can see the fear behind her beautiful eyes, when she's being held by that scumbag.
This case happened where i'm from. It's haunted and horrified us all.
We held a Vigil for her after the court case and it was the saddest but most heartwarming thing to see everyone come together to remember her.
She was put right at the top of our town christmas tree and will remain there every year. She'll always be our little star, we'll never forget her ⭐️
That is wonderful to hear 🙏🏻She is with Jesus & the angels now bless her so precious 😢😢.
❤
Are you a parent? Because, as a parent, I can’t imagine having something like this happening to a child in my locale. I mean happening anywhere, but it’s an especial pain when you know that child was proximate to you.
I hope your community is healing. I hope you are too.
Wow I'm glad that she is remembered it's painful to hear what happened to that beautiful baby girl. I pray that she's loved and protected and happy in heaven
Too little too late!
It's heartbreaking that they're not interested in doing the right thing enough to have saved this innocent baby :-(
Because the kids that are actually being abused takes too much time and energy they have to actually do their jobs to help those kids
That video clip of Star covered in bruises on her face, and she still smiled. Utterly utterly heartbreaking. My son is just 10 days older than her. May her beautiful soul rest in peace 🙏
She was with someone safe then hence her smiling x

Poor baby.
Gleefully pouring water into the poor father's computer bag at a birthday party I worked was pretty impressive lol
Dad found it hilarious.
Unfortunately this poor baby didn't even get a chance to reach her second birthday due to these 2 monster's
Well, my son was biting other kids until blood was running out their noses. He also smashed me in the face with a metal car and headbutted me so hard I thought he broke my nose.

I agree, the impact of lockdowns, need to be reported on and shown globally.
Yes indeed..catastrophic for abused children

Watch deadbug says version of this case and youlle be crying all day… such a sad story
Keep on keeping on, you have done so well, much love

Xxx Julie.

Confused how Smith could say she was afraid of having Star taken off of her, but as soon as she was heartbroken she was happy to hand over care. She should have got life too. She’ll be young* enough to have more children and do this again 💔
It is scary I feel for all women out there including me who never got the chance to be a parent.

@Lao Lou Just laziness (in my cases) plus zero ambitions.

The world isn’t just black and white though is it. Certainly a correlation if not causation
It is sadly giving abusers the perfect opportunity and according to statistics it is absolutely an issue.

the British legal system is actually terrifying like I'm shocked Frankie can be out age 24, at the point she considered getting an injunction but then decided to leave her child alone in the hands of the person she knows is dangerous and has researched her options, she chooses to literally leave her child unsupervised knowing clearly she's putting her child's life at risk every single time she's around her, she's responsible for murder she might as well have killed her with her bare hands and should never see the light of day again

Emma Kenny for prime minister!!!
You are one brave Lady xx God bless you xx
Thats amazing! I'm proud of you!
God bless you I’m sure it can’t have been easy , you should be proud of yourself.
Such an amazing role model to your son, glad to hear you were able to get out of your situation and turn both of your lives around for the better
You truly conveyed the pain & suffering this poor baby endured. The people that hurt star like that and those that turned a blind eye are not human
@@BigBirdCEO Let's hope so.
What was the video you watched?
They'll be put in protective custody because I know there's plenty of women just waiting to beat them to death. Hopefully anyway 🙏

However that sadistic mother of wee star deserves to rot in hell and should never have had children....I hope she enjoys her time in jail, her and her scumbag partner
Horrendous!
Well done Emma, told with compassion. I have no words X
@@Bogna1 agreed
I agree💯
I have seen this case on other shows and I too believe that the babysitter is a hero. She had no blood relationship with star but the love and care she felt for Star was more than her so called mother

She still allowed it she should have got life aswell both scum
I’m filled with so much rage ! How?! How can any hurt a child at all much less beat them and torture them?! And I’m sobbing for the pain and confusion this sweet baby girl experienced and the incredible loss that her family is experiencing…

Hello Star, please come with me
My name is Arthur, you’re safe and free
There’s a gazillion things to see and do
And loads of kids like me and you.
There’s loads of toys in the room up there
And these stairways lead to who knows where
The people that hurt you won’t touch you now
You will recover… we both will, somehow.
The ocean here is always blue
And if you look up high, there’s rainbows too
You’ll meet lots of family you didn’t know
But they’ll keep you safe with love they show.
As for Christmas, well, that’s special here
Angels and carols, you’ll see and hear
There’s other kids that you’ll get to meet
And no-one knocks you off your feet.
Up here, it’s happy every day
There’s a rainbow bridge with dogs, to play
There’s so many animals they all run free
No fear of hunting or cruelty to see.
Come with me, you’ve family to find
Then you can gently sleep as your soul unwinds
Now take my hand you’re safe little Star
With your special name you’ll shine from afar.
RIP little Star xx

I am literally sobbing listening to this case.... My heart is so broken for her and the people who loved her.
Beautiful tribute at the end Em, it broke me but it was a lovely, thoughtful way to end such a horrific story. Soar across the universe little Star ⭐

Things will never change until social services and social workers are held accountable.
I just found you last night and I've been a true crime but since the 90s. You are so well spoken and I agree with most of your opinions. Well done.
Just wow. Fantastic job speaking for this poor beautiful little girl
And my god....all I see is my baby boy in her place.
You put it way better than I ever could, I’m so glad I found this channel.
Poor Star 😥
I already told my child's father that if we ever broke up, I'm not dating again until she's out of the house living her own life.
💔😢this has broken me poor baby😞x
I remember watching Emma, back when she used to dissect the behaviour of the Big Brother housemates 🔍😊 As a Forensic Psychology student, I'm loving how she's remained true to her old style of delivering clinical analysis in such an informal tone. From an academic perspective, it makes things so much more easier to absorb. Her research team are really doing their homework too! 👏
Although these cases are so awful to hear, public exposure and awareness (such as this video) is so relevant in breaking the age-old cycle of "just keeping quiet" & "sweeping things under the carpet". Children are losing their lives and they deserve more than being reported as "just another statistic" or number in the failings of our Social Care system. Thankyou Emma for bringing this awful case to light & helping to give children like Star a voice ⭐
Ohhh ye big brother I remember that I new I have seen Emma before
Although it’s hardly a “clinical analysis” to categorise boxing and door work as “masculine traits”, and to categorise people who participate in either of these fields as aggressive. Boxing is a sport. Door work is a job. Many decent men and women participate in both, as in many other areas of life.
@@devimajumdar6904 there is a certain type of person that does these jobs though. Power hungry little twats.
I hope that Frank and Star are together now and that because of him she knew what love was in her life.
How did they get such lenient sentences. Beautiful baby in her Easter bonnet. Yet again a very sad one. Brilliantly done as always Emma. Thank you xxx
Their sentences are being reviewed.
I think that their sentences are a joke what are we saying that it’s ok to do this and don’t worry you won’t have to sit inside for to long 😡
Brockhills is pretty harsh for this country. 26 years minimum before parole is even considered.
The mother got off lightly.
