Anyone else returning to this video years later and crying? November 12th 2018. A date to never forget. Many people had their greatest hero of all time pass today. RIP Stan Lee.
As a writer myself, I couldn't help but smile when Stan got to the part about writing for yourself instead of others. It just makes so much sense, and to hear it coming from him is the most validating feeling in the world. R.I.P. You will be remembered, and your legacy carried on

It is a great one off product for learning how to design your own Iron Man suit without the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my work colleague finally got cool success with it.
If there's one person who knows about super heroes it's this guy. As an adult I still love superhero stories especially, as Stan Lee says, when they're written well.
eesh, he didn't even create Captain America, Captain America was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, Spider-Man, although being Stan Lee's most famous creation was not his first, his first was The Mighty Destroyer aka Kevin "Keen" Marlow, so there
Niv 'Mohnd Usually super stands for something not many can do. In case of Batman who doesn't have super powers, but has an intellect superior to most and an ability to deduce a lot of events. It's one perk that is different from others or most people and can use them to become super heroes. Heroic actions plus something not many people can do and you get a superhero.
YOU ARE MY SUPERHERO STAN. I love you and you are one of my heroes, I mean I take an example by you (sorry for my English if I've got a mistake). You changed my life and a billion people's lifes. ❤
I'm almost glad that Stan isn't here to see what they've done to the MCU. But, missed? Oh, yeah, Stan the Man is very, very missed. There was never anyone like him before, and there will never be anyone like him in the future. RIP, sir.
Seeing tge late Stan Lee is bittersweet. His friendliness, humility and love for what he did and taking his time to share what he knows and then THANKING TEDEx for giving him the opportunity to speak is reminder of whom we lost. Then when you see what MARVEL has become after his passing is just sad.
I am Indian, and I LOVE Marvel, Superheros. It is my passion to direct films one day. This video is not only relatable, but it is also inspiring. I look up to Stan Lee alot to this day. The saying is right, Legends never actually die. Thanks TEDx, this video has really inspired me.
It’s so painful but important for me to keep coming back to the things he said. Stan Lee brings out my only super power, furiously taking notes and profusely crying at the same time
I’m not sure who will see this since the original post was years ago, but I wanted to pass this story along. Often, when we have a chance to finally meet our hero’s are let down or shocked to see them and not just their illusions of them. This was not the case of someone I know who was able to meet Stan Lee. He has been a comic book fan all of his life and went to a comicon where Stan Lee was going to be speaking. By great fortune, he got onto an elevator at the convention and Stan Lee happened to be on the same elevator. He said that Lee was gracious and happy to meet a fan, he answered questions and open and kind. The experience left a great impressions and meeting Lee was everything he had hoped it would be ever since he was a kid.
The reason why I will always love this man is the passion he has for his superheroes. Just listen to him talk and you can see blatantly that he absolutely loves and put his heart into his work...you were the closest thing we had to an actual super hero sir RIP STAN LEE
I'm writing a book right now in 2018, and this is what I needed to hear...I thought of sending him a chapter, but I remembered that he became one of the brightest stars 😭😭 excelsior
Whenever I see an awful comic or a creator beating a concept over someone's head or creating a comic for the wrong reasons I watch this video to remind myself that I am right, they are doing it wrong. Thank you Stan. Thank you.
Whenever I have a good idea for a comic book, I think of it and then listen to Stan lee and he always inspires me. What a treasure he is, Stan will be missed. Excelsior!
He is gone, yet he has inspired me so much that I feel a sudden drive to write again. I never had the chance to meet him. Simplicity and humbleness are a few words I can use to describe him. He had a talent to just push you forward having thst great essence of a man with a soul of child. By far, one of the greatest humans ever born, thank you Mr. Stan Lee.

This clip single handedly destroyed my writer's block. After 6 months of not liking what I'm writing and not able to come up with anything, he just inspired me. Thank you Stan. Time to go write. RIP.
Some people think that superheroes are just things that exist on a screen or page, but hearing this man talk about them the way he does shows that they are more than just that. Mr. Lee's words are so inspiring for me and probably a lot of other people. He truly was amazing.
When I was a little kid, my Dad would turn on super hero shows and movies for us to watch. Marvel jumped out to me the most, and as I developed in art and storytelling, it became my dream to one day meet Stan Lee. I wanted to tell him what an inspiration he was, how his characters had shaped and motivated me. When I heard that he had died, I was crushed. My dream was now impossible. I would never get the opportunity to meet one of my heroes and pour my heart out about how much I loved his work to him. I remember having a dream sometime after hearing the news, a dream where I got to give him a hug before he dusted. Thank you, Stan Lee. Thank you for creating such amazing, lovable, relatable characters. God bless, all.
You know, I don’t think I deserve to comment on this, but I still kinda’ miss Stan Lee after his death, because my father and I once took a photo standing right next to Stan Lee at the Baltimore Comic Con. That being said, I’d be happy to explain the specific details of how Stan Lee inspired my own storytelling: Among other things, I love some aspects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, particularly whenever it takes place in Space, such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor Ragnarok or Captain Marvel, etc. and I admit that I loved the scene in Captain Marvel involving the Blockbuster. I was born in 1993, so the 90s and the 2000s were my childhood. It was inevitable that my Webcomic Project: “Ike and the Cosmic Maidens”, would have that kind of Nostalgia. Think of Charlie’s Angels, but set in Space, and you’d probably get the general gist of it. Thank you Stan Lee, I won’t forget you.
It's very heartful to me. Thank you Stan Lee. I'm from India and I would like to see Chakra and wish to see any other Indian Super Hero as an Avenger🤞🏻 I wish if Stan Lee is alive RIP Stan Lee 🙁🥺

I read those books out loud as a kid that's how I learned my English. And as an adult I learned from him and countless many writers the beauty of storytelling. Without him and the many artists he worked with I wouldn't know about bigotry (x-men) and power & responsibility (spiderman). So please don't hate on a master storyteller.

Stan Lee: is a completely self taught writer!! He started off working in a comic business as a guy who swept floors, but he used to give the writers such good advice for writing their comics that he worked his way up to the very top. don't give up. try to make a series like 10 issues than great another and another with a different super hero. then see if some of these hero interacted with each other or villains on on story jump to another expanding your universe

One thing superhero stories tell us, that it's ok to admire, to idolize these cartoon characters no matter what your age is.
A superhero doesn't need any superpowers to become a superhero.
Just needs to be so heroic until achieves the "super" adjective.
