- Dropping the entire Saturn S-Series powertrain out the bottom. First a quick preview of the donor vehicle then an eye watering farewell to the old Saturn SL2. :)

My respects to the techs working on all the rust buckets up in the northern side of the U.S
Taps was a nice touch, thanks for the chuckle.
I just picked up a 1997 SC1 5-speed with 79,000 miles. I was wondering about removal through the bottom. I'm glad you posted this. I didn't think I'd find something Saturn-specific, so I was really glad you showed up in the search!
You need a lift that will lift the car off the motor high enough if you want to remove it from the bottom.
I just bought a very low mile 1999 saturn and it was so clean it was unbelievable, I took a light and looked high and low for rust and found almost none on it, the whole car looks brand new It's a black SC 2 and because of the cream puff condition i gave the guy $3,000 for it. I considered getting the bottom treated by spray to protect it from rusting.
about $1000 too much
Well done, mate!
VERY GOOD. This is the type of video I was looking for.
Crane at the scrapyard is vicious. Made the car look like foil
Your lift sounds like it should be taken to the scrap yard!
Nothing like having a lift neighbor has one he gets things done hell of a lot faster
There were many great parts left. Windshield, window and interior guts hell, body panels, bumper..
THAT WAS FANTASTIC!
Must be nice to have a ceiling that tall.
You made the powertrain removal look way too easy.
What kind of car was that that you drop the engine transmission in the front suspension out
What year make and model was that car that you did the engine and transmission out of
Could have save that glass 🤔
Hey man I have almost that same exact Saturn mine is a 99 but the engine is identical along with transmission looking at that system can you help me figure out mine? It makes a weird whine randomly as the engine runs its not a belt and not timing and feels like my torque converter I'm sadly lost
LOL "LOVE IT" Ahahaha!!!
Are the subframe bolts stretch style that need replaced every time they are tightened or can they be reused? I'm going to be swapping out a motor some time this week at the shop.
Thanks!
