  • This is a full tutorial showing you exactly how to remove an engine out of an automobile in great detail. Our example vehicle is an 1981 Ford Bronco but all the principles that I used to remove this engine apply to all cars and trucks. Removing an engine is an essential part of restoring a vehicle or building an engine. It also is a great way to find an engine at a junk yard or pick your part yard to rebuild.

    I'm currently rebuilding a 390 FE for a 1971 F100, my first total restore I'm tackling. Thank you for this complete teardown, it's a lot of things I've learned during my teardown process as well - especially just throwing out all the old, hard rubber!
    I'd love to see a video that looks at some older engine blocks and determines if they're still good/usable or not. I haven't really been able to determine what can stop a block from being used - other than obvious cracks.

    What bout removing from a 3 speed on column . Do you still remove flywheel bolts

    • @2carpros
      @2carpros  2 роки тому

      So I'm assuming its a manual 3 speed and those you don't have a torque converter to unbolt. Typically you just have to unbolt the manual transmission. To remove the engine. Sometimes you have to take the line off the throwout bearing but sometimes it's just a fork and it's super easy. Thanks for watching!
